These shoes have been great for my six year old. He has slightly wider feet and they fit well. Lots of room in the Velcro to adjust for narrow or wider fwwt. The bottom is grippy for the gym floor at school (some gym shoes can have a hard non-grippy sole but these are good and grippy). My only complaint is that the black bumper that covers the front toe is just painted on; it is not a bumper at all. Because of this it is wearing off in spots. In spite of that these shoes are holding up amazingly well and still look fantastic. They have been worn almost every day since October and still look new. I take a black Sharpie to the toe bumper part and fill in where it's rubbing off. Voilà, they look like new. Great shoes. The size is very true.

If you have an active 6-year old boy, beware. These do not hold up well to outdoor recess time. My son has worn these daily to school for the last 3-months and they already need replaced. The don't wash up well, look dirty very easily and the black on the toe comes off easily leaving the shoe to look quite ugly. My son did feel they were comfortable though!

Great shoe for my son who can get these on easily! So glad that Adidas made a shoe that will hold up to early morning recess with dew covered grass, games in the gym during PE, and just regular wear with any elementary aged boy. It use to be so hard to find shoes that still velcroed up but that didn't look lame. I ordered 4 different styles of shoes and my son loved these the most! Thanks Zappos for carrying such a variety of shoes!

I purchased these for my son at the beginning of the school year. He loved them so much he wanted to continue to wear them after they started to come apart. We got about halfway through the school year when he wore a hole through the toes of these shoes by scuffing toes on concrete when kneeling to write with sidewalk chalk. Also the faux shoe lace came unfastened and was unable to re-thread it through the holes. He still wears these shoes outside at home only. 5 starts for comfort & style, 2.5 stars for quality.

Literally the best shoes my son has ever had. Worn for a solid year and absolutely nothing wrong with them. If he hadn't outgrown these shoes he'd still be wearing them! They're not "winterized" shoes but my son claims they kept his feet insulated from the cold regardless. He took them hiking on a boy scouts trip and they were easy to clean as well. Very impressed with these. Wish they came in a larger size so I could get him another pair!

Great for my 9 year old. It was a little tight at the top of the foot but once I? stretched out the laces they fit him perfectly.

These were a little more than we usually spend on kids shoes but were by far the most comfortable of the pairs we tried. My 6 year old loves the style & comfort, and they wipe off nicely.

Ordered these shoes for my 10 year old son for back-to-school. Love them!!! He is very hard on shoes and these still look brand-new after a week of everyday wear. They are made for rugged use. Durable and no scratches or damage as of yet(my son usually makes one week old shoes look like 6 months old shoes). BEAUTIFUL lime green/blue contrasts that match his school uniform colors! Run true to size and he has wide feet and no complaints about them. He says they are very comfortable and I LOVE that he doesn't have to lace them(he walks around unlaced all the time!). I love them so much that I am ordering two more pair for my twin daughters that attend the same school and wear same uniform colors! Awesome shoe!!!

I bought these for my 6 year old. The shoe is very lightweight and looks really nice on his foot. He's been wearing them regularly for about a month and seem to be holding up well!

Great show with heavy soles that look like they will hold up to my little guy's wear and tear. They were really big, but kept them because he will be in them before too long!

I bought these shoes for my 8 year old son to wear in the fall. The shoes are very comfortable and durable. They look great and I know that they will last through the whole school year because my son wore this style last year and they were awesome! I like the vibrant colors too!

First of all my son is so picky about shoes. We can't ever get a perfect fit! He needs to wiggle his toes, he doesn't like the color there is always an excuse. I am so happy to report that these shoes did the trick. They are roomy, sporty, cool he is 12 yrs old and they come with the seal of approval of middle schoolers! They are great!

My 8-year old tears shoes apart. These lasted until he out grew them which is saying a lot. They are comfortable, easy to put on, and durable.

These shoes are very durable and so lightweight. I bought these for my 10 year old son for our summer-long hiking trip across the country (through mud, water and everything. They lasted through this school year as well. Couldn't believe it!

My 6 year old loves these shoes. He loves that they don't have laces, but stay put when he's running around. Great for daily wear or hiking.

I just purchased my son his 5th pair of Adidas outdoor AX2. He keeps out growing them, so we upgrade to a new color. They are stylish, durable and very versatile. I even purchased a pair for my dad for Christmas. Continue bringing a great selection of colors and we will continue to purchase. My son has had 2 pairs of green, 1 blue, 1 black and just purchased a new blue/green combo for the Spring. FYI, the shoes have held up quite well to the typical abuse of a 7 yr old boy. Love them!!!

Good sturdy shoe for gym class and going on hikes. My kid loves them.

I recently purchased my second pair of this exact shoe because my son loves them so much! We needed to go up a shoe size, but he didn't want to part with his old pair; so I was very pleased to see that Zappos still had them available in the same color and style. First and foremost, these sneakers look great with anything from track pants to cargo pants. My son loves the bright colors. Beyond the physical appeal, this is a comfortable shoe for my sons wide foot. (We did not order a wide size and they still fit fine.) He can easily put them on and off thanks to the Velcro strap and elastic laces. They have been through summer rain puddles and winter snow and still held up. I have thrown them into the washing machine when they have gotten particularly dingy and they came out clean. Yes, there are signs of wear after a few months, but they are sneakers that are being worn every day by an active six year old. There is nothing beyond normal wear and tear and they have held up much better than his last few pairs in a different brand. I will continue to buy these sneakers for my son until he outgrows them. Please keep adding new color combinations!
