Sturdy but breathable and looks ok for work - I'm a researcher so I have to balance form and function. However using new measurements and the size guide I ordered a 10 (39" at widest on hip and 28" waist) and these pants barely button and squish me out everywhere. Will have to lose those 5 lb first... One plus, I ordered tall size and they are actually long enough. I need 34 Inseam.

At long last, I found hiking pants that are long enough. Great extra pockets and very discrete clasps to fold up the pants. I hope I can get a few more of these in nice colors.

So comfy I want to wear every day.

Great for hiking, has nice stretch to them and very comfortable and functional for long hikes in the mountains.

I ordered a size up according to other reviews. So glad I did. Even going a size up I still feel these are a little tight. They are a light weight material that will be perfect for summer hikes and vacations.

Nice pants for hiking. Make no noise. Dry quickly. I am 5'6" 116 lbs. size 4 fits great. Slightly large in waist, I wear belt.

Bought a pair of Saturday Trail pants for a summer trip. Stylish, slim fit and colors and nice weight. Sturdy construction. True to size, but remember, it's a slim fit.

Lightweight and quick drying. Love the tabs for rolling up pant legs.

Love these technical pants. Bought multiple colors as a result. Great for activities such as hiking or rock climbing. With its sleek fit, I have also been wearing them to work in the office since the stretch makes them comfortable to wear all day and they look like casual pants with a blouse. Weight ~ 120 lbs, 5'2". Size 6 petite. I normally wear 4-6 petite sizes.

I love all Columbia pants (especially the hiking pants) but these are my favorites for any time wear. Holy smokes, I wish I had 10 pairs lol.

These are my new favorite!! So comfortable and breathable. Sleek enough to wear to an office job, and rugged and comfortable enough for weekend wear on the trails! Will be buying them in the rest of the colors!

These pants are professional looking and functional for work. Nice thin, stretchy fabric, will be good for work in the summer. I went off the size chart and the 8 long fit me with a little room, but I could probably go with the 6 for a more fitted look. (for reference- I am 5'9", 150 lbs, waist 30 in, hips 40 in, thigh 23 in).

I have tried many different womens outdoor pants - these are the best. Flattering cut but runs small. Will purchase several colors of these.

I've been steadily losing weight. This is the third time I've bought these pants - smaller size each time. :-) I don't know a better recommendation. I like them because they look nice, they are comfortable, and if I have the opportunity to work out, they're good for that too!

Comfortable material on the skin and chic look, lightweight, love these pant. Runs one size smaller than the Columbia Straight-leg pants. I had to return and order one size up. But these pants are comfortable, moves with the body and has a slight stretch too. I will be ordering two more same style with different colors next!

I absolutely LOVE the Saturday Trail II pants, even Sunday- Friday ;) I work outdoors with an athletic population and I love these pants for work! They allow me to squat, run, lift and clean without really wrinkling or showing dirt/moisture. They have decent pockets and a convenient side leg zipper pouch. I love that they have a semi-professional look to them, but are still super comfortable and really move with your body. The last pair I bought has lasted me over a year with some high volume wear and is still going strong. I like that you have the option to roll up the cuff if it starts to get a little warm. I normally wear a size 0/2 and I bought the size 2 Reg and they fit perfectly, no belt needed! 10/10 would recommend!!

once again, always very pleased with the Columbia products. The pants are true to size, very comfortable to use for any activities you are into, and also able to keep you cool during this hot days. Great item to have when you travel as it will be easy to wash and faster to dry.

I'm 5'1" so the 'short' was perfect length for me. Columbia seems to fit a little small in the waist so I ordered a size up. The material is light and thin and has a slight stretch in them for doing outdoor activities. Perfect for warm days outside and don't want to bare your legs, especially if walking through the woods or riding your bike. Nice straight legs style. I will most likely get another pair in a different color because they are so versatile.

This is my third pair (all in different colors). Yes, order size up from your "usual". This is Columbia, folks. The color I received did not match the photo on line BUT it was exactly the color I wanted.....a cross between camel and khaki. You know, not too light and not too dark. Shall hide dirt easily ( I wear these at the animal shelter where I volunteer) Highly recommend.

The fit is comfortable and the material is slightly stretchy, allowing for easy movement while walking. I own 3 pair and have enjoyed the versatility of being able to wear while walking, running around town for errands or to shop, or just doing work around home. I have worn these pants in warmer and cooler temperatures with much comfort.

These pants don't wrinkle as much as others. Very comfortable, fun side zip pocket. I bought the short sizing and it fits great! I love that that's an option -short, regular, tall.
