These shorts run true to size with other Columbia products, but smaller than other brands so that's why I gave it "runs a little small" As other reviewers have noted, the legs are quite narrow, but this is exactly what I wanted as most shorts I find are way too baggy and unflattering through the legs. They are comfortable and flattering.

I purchased these pants for a trip to Europe. They were my mainstay on the trip. Even as long pants they look somewhat stylist. They are very comfortable and easy to laundry. Material is very cool. Felt they were true to size. Zippers work well and are easy to zip on and off. I highly recommend these as a summer travel pant.

Looks good, comfortable. Runs a little small. I wear 0/2 (or 25/26) for normal jeans, this I ordered 4, and it was comfortable to do activities with. I'm considering ordering another color.

Fits true to size. Very comfortable, lightweight and very sport looking on. Zippers and buttons are strong, won't break on you. Awesome pants, wish they came in brighter colors.

I compared these pants with 3 other similar styles from different manufacturers. These won out! First, I am tall and these were actually long enough! The fabric is soft and very lightweight. The leg zippers are not heavy - very comfortable. The pants are convertible in many ways due to the zippered legs and the drawstring in the hem. I've worn them hiking and also to work - extremely comfortable. Also wore them in the rain and water just beaded up and slid right off! Love these pants!

I love these pants! I don't like pants that have that gathering in the back and give you a giant butt. These are sleek and a bit fitted but they are also stretchy enough thy are not skin tight. I hike quit a bit and I wear them to play volleyball too. They are my "go to" pants for all summer activities because they are so light, soft and comfortable. I have them in the color, Fossil and yes, I agree with other reviews, go up a size. I am going to order another pair in the color, Grill.

These are great pants. I love the material...super light and soft, and I like the option to wear them as shorts. I had to go up one pant size from what I usually wear. My only complaint is that the zip-off area rubs against my legs when I walk, and takes some getting used to. These pants could also be improved by adding zippers to the lower pant legs so that the zip-off portion could be removed without having to take your shoes off. All in all, I am happy with these pants, and I would purchase them again.

Yes, I love these pants but I miss the soft lining around the waist of the previous Saturday Trail pant.

Bought these because a friend of mine had a pair and absolutely loved them. I needed khakis for work at a zoo and wanted a pair that would withstand outdoor work, weather, and dirt. I purchased a size 2 and they are a bit loose around the waist but a belt should fix the problem. The material is soft, stretchy, and comfortable. I'll have to wait a while to see how they perform during work but so far they seem to be worth the splurge.

I usually do not spend a lot of money on clothes but these pants are way worth the price. I needed pants that I could zip off so that I could walk during my lunch break at work. These are perfect!

These pants are a great investment. I've owned a pair for two years and they are still holding up well. As an outdoor professional, I have really put them through the wringer, but they still fit well. One suggestion: hang to dry. They will shrink a little bit in the dryer. Other than that, I definitely recommend this product!

Bought these pants for a trip to Costa Rica in Grill (size 16). They fit great and don't make you look like you a have "Ranger Butt." The material is water repellent but soft and the range of movement they give you is great for hiking trails. The convertible pants come off in a snap and you can even reattach them while standing very easily. Love these pants so much I bought a second pair!

I wore these pants backpacking in Yosemite recently. I really love the stretch and the length of the shorts. I am 5'8" and 134 lbs and wear a size 8 regular. The shorts came about 6 in above my knee. The pants are trim fitted with a comfortable waist. I was worried that the lightweight fabric wouldn't hold up wearing a backpack and sitting on granite for three days, but they held up fine. I also really loved the zip elastic cord at the ankle, I cinched the hem around my boots to keep dirt and brush out and it worked great! I am ready to buy another pair, love the grey color!

Wish they were longer..they're a tall and normal talls are never that long. They have snaps at the waist, which I wish was more the drawstring style of other Columbia pants I have. The zips work pretty well for them turning into shorts. Overall they're fine, not amazing.

I ordered these pants because I thought that they would be the same as the nearly identical Columbia pants I've had for ten years; they are my most comfortable pants, and I really like that they look good as both pants and as shorts. However, the new fabric is not as stretchy or soft as the old. Perhaps they will "weather" into something more comfortable. I hope so.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Great for hiking, really comfortable. Sized up one or two sizes. The zipper for the shorts/pants detachment is a bit tight around the thighs.

These are comfortable and so versatile! Perfect for cool mornings and evenings with hot days in between! Saves packing space with two items in one. The only problem is the sizing, which is all over the place! Very hard to order the right size, and always have to send some back.

Love these! Comfy, but snagged on day 1, not bad though. Read they came tight, so bought a size up. 5' tall 133 lbs. bought size 12 so a bit roomy, love the bottom pull strings to tighten.
