These are lightweight and versatile. Exactly what I expected. In comfort, they exceed my expectations.

I am 5'3' and weigh 122lbs. I ordered the 6 and they fit perfectly and are a good length. I have not unzipped the legs, so I am not sure about the length of the shorts, but I'm not greatly concerned about that. I may order a second pair.

I bought the Saturday Trail II Stretch Convertible pants specifically for hiking in Yellowstone National Park during the summer. They were perfect! The full pant was comfortable and great for protection during hikes with heavy vegetation and cooler temps. They easily converted into shorts during the hotter part of the day. I will definitely purchase more. I am 5'4" and 125 pounds. The size 4 - short fit perfectly.

Ordered 1 size up and they were too big, so I am returning and ordering my regular size. Love the pants, they are soft and I did not find the zippers hard on the legs.

Love these pants so much this is my third pair I have purchased! They are comfortable, fit true to size, and great for hiking. The material isn't too hot and the bottoms are easy to remove over hiking boots. I've been caught in a rainstorm in these and they dried out fast after the rain stopped.

As a Tour Guide, I loved having the flexibility to wear these as "long" pants when required for meetings and dinners, but could make them "shorts" when the temperature soared while we were on a walking tour. They're easy to wash out and dry quicky too. Runs true to size

These conversion pants/shorts are so convenient and wonderful! The quality is fab and it's so easy to convert to shorts! Love em!

What I like about Columbia pants is that the "short" size is actually SHORT. I'm 5'2" and it is ridiculous how many times I've had to hem the "short"-sized pants in other brands because they're made for ladies who are 5'6". News flash: That's not short. So, anyone who is truly tiny? These pants won't drag on the floor. And if they do for you: There's a nifty draw string that'll fix the problem. Aside from the length, the pants are breezy and slim-fitting. No baggy (unnecessary) pockets? No problem. In fact, even better. The tight zippers on the leg that everyone else found troubling? Not a problem for me. The only thing I'd critique is that the shorts are more Bermuda style than actual shorts (for a short lady). All in all, a great purchase... and I do a ton of backcountry camping for long stretches. (Haven't washed them yet so I can't verify how they hold up over time.)

These are great for those days that start out or end cool yet are warm during the mid-day! The length of the shorts is just above the knee. Very comfortable material.

What are the odds of ordering pants online and them actually fitting like a glove?! Once I tried these pants on, I didn't want to take them off anymore! These pants looks very nice, especially for zip-offs. I even sneaked them in to the office one day, because they are SO comfy, yet look stylish. I used these pants on a 2-week camping trip that involved a lot of hiking. Although the trails were dusty, the pants did not attract a lot of dirt at all. They have enough stretch to be comfortable, without stretching out over time. I did notice that they shrunk a little bit on their first wash. I admit that I didn't read the instructions, but simply washed them on warm and threw them in the dryer with the rest of my clothes. I ordered a size 6 regular length. I'm 5'6, 130lbs.

I am a bit shy of 5'5" and the regular inseam has the perfect length. They do run small; I usually wear a 0, but the 2 fits perfectly. The cut is great. However, because these are convertible, there seams covering the zipper area. These are fairly fitted through the leg, and there's a chance they will chafe with lots of walking, so unfortunately these will be returned.

I love these pants! Soft, stretchy light weight fabric and very comfortable. I bought them for kayaking and would wear them every day if I had more colors. I thought the India Ink color would be a dark blue but it's more like a dark gray but is a very nice color. I also have the khaki color. I feel they are true to size in this style. The Saturday Trail pant does run smaller but these are the Saturday Trail II convertible pants. I would definitely buy them again.

Perfect for turtle walks and rainy beach nights. Pockets deep enough to hold flash light. Stretchy material perfect for crouching down during scouting hours. Legs unzip easily to convert into shorts.

Bought these for an upcoming cool weather trip to replace an older pair and love the new stretch fabric, it's softer lightweight and not scratchy. They do run one size small, I'm normally a 4 Short and the 6 Short fit perfect in Classic Tan with just a tad of room for thin long underwear or tights if need be. Love that Zappos offers the short length! They are lightweight, pack nicely. Can't address the zipper issue since haven't worn yet but the cut is slimmer and not so baggy as previous years. Like to pair them with Columbia Tamiami Long Sleeve shirt with zip pockets for travel!

The Columbia hiking pants are for a trip to Yosemite soon. I have very long legs and these pants are actually long enough. The leg openings are a nice width. Too many of the hiking pants are very baggy. Easy to convert to shorts and the shorts are a nice length......no super short. Very comfortable material for hiking. Waist size and rise is medium I ordered 5 different brands and styles and these are great.

I love the new design with the fitted leg style. My old zip off pants have wide legs with lots of fabric and it seemed like they were always catching on the trail shrubbery. The only downside is that the zippered part of the leg is a little snug around my upper knee area, but did not inhibit my movement on the trail. By the end of the day, I did not notice the snugness. I purchased size 2. I am 5' 8" and 118 lbs. Hips are 35.

Fantastic!! Just what I was looking for. 2 pieces of clothing in 1. Will definitely use on our trip to Machu Picchu.

Columbia has asked me to review this product after having a chance to get to know them. Well, I already had a pair. I had lost 30 pounds recently, and I was actually disappointed because my Trail II's were too big, so the first purchase I HAD to make, was to replace my Columbia pants. They are the best for everyday use and travel. I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.

I absolutely love these pants. Now have 3 pairs. Originally purchased to use for fishing and camping, however, the comfort level is so high, that I wear them all the time.

I absolutely love these pants. I love the material that they are made out of, it lets you breathe. I agree that these pants definitely run at least one size small. Make sure that you order at least one size up when ordering these pants. I also agree that the zippers around your thighs dig into your thighs when you sit down and it's not the most comfortable thing. However, I still love these pants. I am 5 foot 10 and ordered the Longs and they fit great in length.

I bought these in confidence because my "Saturday Trail shorts" fit perfectly. The pants fit equally perfect. I have fit but slim legs, and the zipper bands remain comfortable for me, whether sitting or hiking. I took my shoes off to remove the pant bottom, or I would of had to super stretch to get the lower pant over my shoes. But not a problem. I am super happy with my purchase. The "grill" color will match any tops.

I wore these pants on a stream research trip and was horrified when I knelt too far down at the stream and ended up kneeling in the water. However when I stood up all the water ran off my pants and I was still dry! These pants are also extremely comfortable and light. On cold days I layer them with warm tights and they still fit perfectly.
