not soft at all. Leather very sharp against foot.

I originally purchased this pump in my usual size (9.5) in a Nude Lux. I thought it fit well in the length but the toe box was small and the width was way too tight. I returned the shoe and purchased it in wide hoping it would remedy the toe box as well tight fit. To be honest, I couldn't tell a difference between normal or wide width and the toe box seemed even smaller in the wide width. They were both extremely tight and uncomfortable within minutes of wearing! The extra padding is nice but it also takes away from the much needed space for your feet and toes. Although I love the way the shoe looks, it just isn't going to work. It was a complete waste of money in the end. I highly recommend trying these shoes on in person and not purchasing them online just to ensure the fit is right.

These shoes look very nice and class but they run really big! I usually take a 5.5, and ordered these in a 5 but they are too long. My heel keeps slipping out the back, even with heel grips. I would return them, but I wore them once and can't.

These are the most comfortable high heels I’ve ever had. I could spend all day in them and I’m a diehard merrell sandal person. I bought these and the patent leather ones.

Okay I've ordered shoes from Zappos for years and have never written a review. But these shoes were so good I felt compelled to tell others. I'm super picky about style, quality and comfort. I want shoes that look nice and are comfortable. Sounds reasonable but we all know it's super hard to find. I bought these shoes for a funeral. Wanted a higher heel so it was dressy. I didn't have time to break them in. I almost never wear heels and I ended up wearing these for HOURS. I walked from the car to the funeral home in the rain. Then had to STAND at the funeral for at least an hour because it was crowded. Then I had to stand at the restaurant afterwards for at 1.5-2 hours since it was also crowded. I never got blisters or hot spots which is usually the case for me (my feet are medium/narrow). I figured my hips and back would be a WRECK the next day because that's what happens when you aren't someone who wears high heels and then all of a sudden wears them for hours on end. Nope. Nothing. I was fine. I'm still shocked. If you are looking for classy and comfortable heels, these are your best bet. I think I might but another pair and save them for the future just in case Rockport stops making them.

Very comfortable! Wore to an all-day meeting and my feet felt great. I have narrow feet and ordered a 9 (my typical size). These fit great. Will buy again in another color.

Heels that are both stylish and comfortable!

These fit great and are comfortable. The built-in support at the heel keeps them from slipping and the footbed support make them comfortable and easy to walk in right out of the box. A great work wardrobe basic!

These shoes are a dream! After two years of working from home, had my first in-person event and all my shoes felt uncomfortable. A friend recommended this brand and so I ordered these shoes because I needed a basic black pump. I love them! They’re SUPER comfortable, stylish (even for a blue pump) and sophisticated. Walked on these a whole day without issues. Highly recommend them!

Pretty great for a work pump

Gorgeous shoe and very well made and padded insole. Very comfortable. Sizing seemed to be off for me but maybe that's the difference between ordering in a "wide" compared to "medium" width. I usually wear a size 8 in "medium" and will need to size down to a size 7 in this style.

I had to order this down a full size from my usual 6. I read something about how a wide shoe would also be extra long; I don't understand this at all. To be accurate, I'd have to say this shoe runs big, not true to size as indicated in the overall ratings. I'm unclear about how comfortable this shoe is as I've not had the occasion to put the shoe to the test, it seems ok considering I don't often wear heels.
