These were highly recommended to me but I'm really disappointed in them. Pros are the grip and sturdiness of the shoe. Cons are that the pinky toe seam in the left shoe rubs so much against my foot/sock, that I can't wear these for longer than 15-20 minutes. I have average width feet and have tried multiple sock options; the issue is that there is thick stitching on the inside of the left shoe. I'm now left with a useless pair of hikers.

I only buy Salomon sneakers now because of the high arch support and the anti-roll design. These are not my favorite Salomons. There is no arch support in the sole of the shoe so you have to lace these guys tight. The laces are traditional on these and slip, so my foot tends to slide around inside the shoe as the laces loosen. The tread is good and I don't roll in these, and the color is perfect so I kept them because I can wear them to work (teacher). I much prefer the XA Pros though for hiking, which are overkill for my job. I would not take these on a hike. They're not reliable enough and not waterproof and I can't imagine they would provide enough arch support with a heavy pack.

This model of Salomons, like the Eclipse, does not work for someone with a narrow heel. I was hopeful because I usually have this problem with the speedlaced models and this one has regular laces, but alas, my heel lifted up and do not want to risk plantar fascitis. Have to return. Didn't seem like the highest quality either, particularly.

These seemed like a fine shoe, however the tongue was barely wide enough to be covered by the sides, and it lacks the lace slot to keep the tongue from moving around. With it being so narrow, I was sure it would be migrating to the outside of my foot, and be a constant source of aggravation. Additionally, the sizing seems to be about a 1/2 size too large. I thought they were too expensive for the quality. I returned them.

Color is more of a funky pink red rather than the dark red as the photo looks. Run at least 1/2 size large and wide. I have had several Salomon shoes and love them. These, not so much.

Have worn Salomon shoes for years. Quality seems to be decreasing. Wore these and my L heel began to really hurt. Looked at my foot and I had a crease going around my heel where the insert was causing my heel to rub. Ouch.
