They fit better than any other shoe I have ever owned. Only had them two weeks, so dont know anything about longevity, but they feel awesome

These were recommended to me by someone at REI, and, while comfortable, they are not really waterproof. I walked in the rain this morning (having worn them maybe 3 or 4 times on short city hikes) and found that any water that covers the toes will seep in. Deeply annoying.

Took these out for a hike on Oahu this morning, conditions were very muggy and wet. The insides of my shoes stayed completely dry, even after wading through a small river, and didn't feel overly hot. Although they have great waterproofing, I was constantly slipping over wet rocks and roots, a problem I don't have with my other hiking shoes. I would expect a shoe meant for adverse weather to be stable in said weather, but these failed in that department. I'm going to try and add some traction to the soles and see if that works, but if not I don't see the use of waterproof shoes that slip around in wet conditions, would rather leave them on the shelf than taking a fall in the forest.

I've owned my boots for just over two years and have been left extremely disappointed. The rubber toe guard has started to detach from the boot allowing water to soak my feet. I would expect more for the money and would not recommend. I guess Oboz's limited 1 year warranty speaks volumes as to the quality of their product.

My Bridger purchase was iffy at first. I usually wear full cushioned, heavy weight socks and, along with my orthotics, these boots were very uncomfortable. Then I tried cushioned, light weight Darn Tough socks (my go to brand) and all is well. I love the boots - great grip and support. My advice: Choose your socks carefully with the Bridger.

I am surprised these are grey blue and not olive green as depicted. They were the only option I could get to replace the dark brown leather version I enjoyed for 2 years. Hopefully they will hold up and be maintainable like the leather version I was unable to get.

I loved these boots, perfect amount of stability and flex in a hiking boot. It took at least two years to wear my first pair out working everyday on a trail crew. Second pair something happened to the rubber toe cap, after half a year it caved in and rubs the top of my foot so bad that I cant wear them anymore. Might have been a one off manufacturing defect but none the less, hesitant to buy again for the price.

Just back from a 100km (60 mile) paddle and portage in the Temagami region of Northern Ontario, Canada. These boots stood up to everything the rugged north could throw at them. Boulders, rocks, fallen trees, mud bogs, rainy days, you name it and I felt totally comfortable, safe and dry throughout. Love these boots.

I have good ankles, so my old legs can still get away with stable low cuts for long day hikes. The unfortunately discontinued Tamarack wide has been near perfect for me in this regard. Still, my legs and one bad knee would prefer a stable mid for many, especially where longer or lots of rocks or boulders. The Oboz line is limited in this regard, really just the Bridger and Sawtooth, the latter model not being a good fit or feel for my feet (too narrow in both directions to start with). That leaves the Bridgers, which I got at REI. Ive now used them several times in the mountains in the Bozeman region, and invariably have felt much slower and more fatigued with them.. Thats not something Ive felt with any other brands mids over the decades. To be fair, Oboz is up front about this, rating them a 2 of 5 on lightness. Its just too bad the company doesnt offer a bit more variety in stable, supportive more mid weight mids. I will add, however, that for snow shoeing, the Bridger talls are a good choice.

typically, i wear cowboy boots, so im accustomed to protection and weight. However, when flying aircraft, I need something with a little "feel" and dexterity, and these serve both needs. Just Did 4 pass loop in the Aspen area and these served my 56 year old feet well. they are now my daily shoes unless I'm out working cattle. although they are waterproof, they don't feel hot. however, being waterproof if water comes in over the top you will keep water with you all day unless you take them off and dump them. (Water ride at silver dollar city) Even soaked from the inside they remain comfortable.

I bought this boot about 6 months ago and have hiked in conditions from quite cold, snowy and wet, to exceptionally hot. We generally hike in the 4-8 mile range, with elevation changes of anywhere from 200 or so to 2,000 feet. They can start to feel a bit heavy toward the end of the more challenging hikes, but I've been really impressed with their comfort and the confidence they instill when tackling rocky terrain. Recently, though, I started having an issue with pain in my toe on one foot, and after a few hikes experiencing this I found an issue inside the toe box. I contacted Oboz customer service, and through a quite painless process they provided a replacement pair under their one-year warranty.
Overall I'm really impressed with the quality and function of the boot, despite the issue I had (stuff happens). I'm equally pleased, if not more so, with the way Oboz handled the warranty claim. They showed they really stand behind their product!

I've been looking for a new pair of hiking boots and since I've had such good fortune with LL Bean boots, I bought a pair of Oboz Bridger Mid B-Dry hikers. My usual size for boots is 12, so I ordered those. Way too small. Instead of returning by mail, I went to the nearest outlet store. They had a 12 1/2. That was too small. I ended up trading the 12s for 13s. No way my foot is a 13. Besides the tiny size, I like the boots. They break in quickly, are comfortable and have the ankle support I need. Watch your sizing when you purchase these.

I think the Bridger Mid is an excellent desert hiking boat. It is sturdy enough to stand up to the desert plants especially the thorny ones. I enjoy the arch and ankle support plus the tread works well on stony surfaces and/or loose gravel.

These boots felt like I had been wearing them for year, when I first put them on. My only problem has been a hot spot on my right leg, just above my ankle. It is healing just fine and I havent had an issue since. Thanks for making a comfortable boot.
