This shoe is indeed a return to the WP1 style. I'm not sure what took Mizuno so long - long product development cycle, I guess. **However** the shoe is not as good as the Wave Prophecy 1 to me. The heel is quite a bit lower, so it doesn't quite give you that full Oscar Pistorius spring, and the toe box does not feel narrow, but wow did my Morton's neuroma feel evident in these and never in my WP1. I hope the five comes out soon, as I am in dire need of a new running shoe!

Really disappointed. These shoes came highly recommended by a friend, but I returned 2 pairs. I always wear a size 7, but they were too tight. Exchanged for 7 1/2, which fit better, but not comfortable. Sadly, looking for other options.

Do not buy these shoes! I got these five months ago and have not worn them that much. I am not a runner and although I do wear them to the gym, I do not go that much, maybe twice a week and I have had an injury for much of this time, so I did not go at all. Anyway, the shoes have all kinds of holes in the top and look terrible. I am very disappointed because I like this brand and have owned a couple of other pairs in the past. I feel that for the money, they should last at least a year with regular use, not five months with light use.
