Mizuno finally got this one right! I was very unimpressed with the 2nd & 3rd edition, so I was very happy to feel the difference with the 4th edition. Several issues were improved upon: the heel fits snug, without pulling your sock down. The toe box has more wiggle room. It is also cut slightly higher around the ankle (compared to 2 & 3), a much more comfortable fit in my opinion (there is no awkward rub on the bone area as in the past). This shoe is undeniably more "springy" too, much like the 1st edition. I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis in both heels and some neuroma, so finding a comfortable shoe is paramount. I couldn't be more satisfied with this pair. Receiving these shoes in 23 hours isn't bad, either.

This is the first time I have purchased the Mizuno brand. I tried these on and I am truly amazed at how comfortable they are! I am wearing them for the first time today and I ran 10 miles without even having to break them in - they are that comfortable! Amazing shoes! I tend to replace my running shoes every six months or so (I run/walk about 50 miles a week) so I just purchased these in lieu of the Asics I have been wearing for the past half a year or so. They are extremely roomy in the toe box, have a great deal of cushioning, and the heel has the most comfortable cushioning and support than I have ever experienced in a shoe. My other favorites are the Asics Kensei and the Nike Air Pegasus. They are pricey but well worth it -- it's your feet for goodness sakes! Purchase - they do not disappoint.

I wore my last Mizuno prophecies way past their expiration, but the last two iterations of this shoe have not been what I hoped for. THIS model, however, is such a perfect fit for me that I am ordering a second, and perhaps even a third pair. Perfect fit, amazing heel cushioning, and just enough lift in the heel to support. I've battled achilles tendonitis off and on, and these support my heel in a way that allows me to run without aggravating the tendon. I'm not a competitive runner, but these add at least a mile to my endurance. I can't sing enough praises of this shoe!

I love these shoes! This is my fourth pair. I first bough WP2 a while back and loved their feel- so comfortable for long runs. I've run for years in many brands but these have been absolutely the best! I run 28-32 miles a week, to keep healthy. I weigh 125lb and I wear orthotics for flat arches. Developed plantar fasciitis two years ago. Have Lupus, and so during flare-ups feel ever muscle and bone in my feet, while running. These are cloud-like for running, and I have no foot aches at all. These Mizuno Wave Prophesy 4's are even better. They are so comfortable thankfully-sometimes the shoes don't change for the better. The spring is still there and even the stretchy laces are fabulous, has just enough give every step to make shoe feel pressureless. These are perfect for me, just ordered my second pair!

I love these shoes! They are true to size and fit me perfectly! The colors are gorgeous! They truly feel like I am walking on a cloud! I will definitely purchase this brand again!

These are by far the most comfortable running shoes I have ever had, and I have owned several. I bought a size 7 and a half, and they feel as though they were custom made for me. I feel like I am running on a cloud. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone. I will stick with Mizuno. I also have the Tailwind. I love those also.

Great shoe! Either my foot has grown or if using as a running shoe, I'd get a 1/2 size larger than you normally order for a running shoe. I wish that I had 9. I wear 7 1/2 and always run in 8 1/2.

A fine looking shoe but very pricey for a footbed insert that has virtually no arch support or cushion. What might appear to be springy heel action is actually quite stiff. Sadly I had to wear these to test run them. Save your money. 90-4-12NV; running for people with disabilities.

These shoes fit my feet perfectly. As a lifetime devotee to Asics, I was very skeptical, even nervous. But the Wave Prophecy IV has made me a Mizuno convert. The shoes are true to my size (8½M). They are noticeably more stable as I moderately underpronate. The wider than toe box is exactly what I needed. I do not experience heel slippage. The opportunity area that I would like to see improved, is a bit more arch support. Considering all that, they also look great, I have received compliments when I wear them in the gym. I would not suggest these for anyone who wants to use them to cross-train due to the cost and the fact that varied use might compromise the performance (in my opinion). I would recommend these to any running friend.

These are the best running shoes that I have ever owned, and I have been running over 30 years. These are expensive but worth the price. I have a tendonitis problem and these shoes provide excellent support and comfort. My feet tend to be a bit wider than average (but not as big as a true wide width) and these are very comfortable in the toe box. I have had them for about four months now and love wearing them because my feet feel so great when I am running. Bonus: I have gotten multiple comments on how great they look!

Order a full size up! These shoes run very small! I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 but I have to send mine back because they are way to tight and my toes are tight and rubbing at the end of the shoe. I have never in my life had to wear an 8 but will have too if I choose to reorder them.

This is my fourth pair of Mizuno wave shoes. They are comfortable and durable. As long as they make this shoe I'll buy it!

I purchased these after reading the reviews because I needed something with excellent support and cushioning. I recently suffered tendon damage, a bone bruise, and a stress fracture in one leg (fun summer). As I returned to my regular HiiT, cross training, aerobics, and walking, I wanted to know I was going to support my leg yet still have the flexibility and control I needed for all I do. This shoe provided exactly what I needed and I LOVE them so much I am getting a second pair. The only issue I had is these are narrow, now I have always fit comfortably in med. width shoes (having been told my feet run toward narrow even) but with the Thorlo socks (which I will never stop wearing as they are the best and completely worth their price) these Mizuno's were a bit tight. Took a few weeks and daily readjustment of the laces to get them comfortable until now they have finally begun to fit better. Yet, even that issue will not keep me from highly recommending them nor from buying them again. Great shoe - only wish it was USA made.

These shoes are comfy and have a ton of support. I have never spent this much on running shoes before. But they are totally worth it.

This is roughly my tenth pair of Wave Prophecy shoes. I love the stability, cushioning, and support. The toe box has plenty of space. I wear a 7½ but size up to 8.

Great shoes, super comfy, and a good bit of support. I really like the how they are stretch material, but still have stability.

I love this shoe I love it so much I bought two! Despite the high price, to keep one to use in the next 2 years. It provides great support, is light and I LOVE the colors.

Love them! They're so comfortable because of the space age technology. I didn't even have to break them in and was able to run 10 miles the first wear! Excellent, excellent shoes. I would recommend them highly.

These are the best sneakers that I have ever purchase! Very comfortable and look great. One reviewer said they are a bit expensive but after all we walk, run, and exercise on our feet we need to take care of them! That comment made me purchase and I totally agree.

This shoe is roomier than the Prophecy 1, 2, & 3. I wear a 7.5 in the above, but 7.5 was a half size too big. Thankfully, the 4 does feel more like the 1. I was not a huge fan of the 2 or 3.

The last Prophecy I wore was 1 and they were super but I think the 4 is even better. I have wide feet and the toe box is larger and they are larger all over. For me, they are terrific since I have a fused ankle. They are the only ones I can wear.

Amazingly light with loads of cushioning. I get loads of compliments on this shoe whether I'm on a group run or running through the grocery store. Great shoe Mizuno!

For the cost, I didn't think this shoe was THAT fantastic. I am not a runner and decided I could do all right to try a less expensive style. It fit me true to size. I did not need to wear 1/2 size larger.
