This is a great pair of shoes one of the best pair I have ever had

Love these shoes, very comfortable and durable - my second pair. I'd like to see them come with a better insert, with more padding, but that's my only small gripe. Mine are 12 1/2 6E and very true to size for my really wide clown feet. Stability is good, and they look great as welll. Came with both black and grey laces.

These shoes are great for those who wear out shoes on the outside of their soul. The first pair I ordered was a wide 2E and they were a little snug. The next pair I ordered was for a and they're a little large. I intend to put a pad in the 4E shoe and think everything will be great.

From it's description, i thought this shoe would suit my wide, thick feet and orthotics well. What i instantly recognized when i first stood in them that these shoes support the correct positioning of my feet so well that my posture is the most correct --without trying to stand straighter-- it's been in decades! Tho pricey for me, the relief i've had from knee & hip discomfort and strained posture is very much worth the investment. I walk a lot any given day -- i'm sure i could not stay on my feet & on the go all day without these shoes.

Great shoes for my son. His food dr. said it was an excellent shoe for flat feet.

They have a large category of sneakers and shoes nice looking and good quality they last a longtime.

Was diagnosed with overpronation about a year ago and was fitted with a brace on my left foot. Didn't like the brace because it changed my gait because it was only on one foot and was hard to get a shoe over it. Plus I didn't like the way it looked when I wore shorts. Always wondered why the brace company didn't just make a complete shoe because the brace is 80% of a shoe. I received my 15 40's and immediately fell in love with them. Haven't wore brace for a couple of weeks since I received them. Can't say enough good about them.

Hi, This is my second pair of the 1540v2 and this pair I like more than the light grey. This one is Navy and Grey they fit perfect and seem to be made sturdy. I walk a lot in these and for 6E they are very nice and new balance even has them look very nice now. I recommend them as well as ordering from newbalance.com my shoes arrived quickly and were in new and unused condition A+. Kevin

I've been a fan of NB for a long time and these shoes did not disappoint.

I've been searching for shoes for over five years and was unable to find something comfortable. I have severe arthritis in my feet and lack cushioning. They're also very wide. I wear orthotics. The toe box is usually too narrow and too low. It was suggested that I try men's shoes. I really couldn't believe how comfortable these shoes were when I wore them for the first time. I now have six pairs in all colors. I recommend them, especially for people with problem feet.

I have bad feet and need a good running shoe that will work with my orthotics. This shoe is well made, has more than adequate pronation correction and is made in the USA.

Third par of the same style NB shoe, I love the fit and walking experience.

Used to buy 587's, the 1540 seems to be a good replacement. Love the new black!

I love these shoes. They are great looking and the fit was perfect. I wear them everywhere because they are so comfortable.

Wore my New Balance NV 2 almost everyday for 3-4 years and they still felt great. Retired that pair and got another in the new Blue.

I have long enjoyed the 990 series, but 2 years ago wondered if New Balance had developed anything better and the answer was YES, the 1540v2. I have now owned three pairs (one pair/year) and highly recommend this shoe to anyone.

I have a neurological condition called CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) which has left me with moderate to sometimes severe numbness and tingling in both legs knees to toe tips. The days of me wearing narrow Nikes are long gone. I went to the closest New Balance store walking with my rollator and tried on 8 or so separate models. I did not care about price. My only considerations were safety in balance and stability and the colorway of the shoe couldn't be too bad. I was professionally sized by a NB staff member and he brought out box after box of shoes. After more than an hour of deliberations, try-ons, walks in-store I chose this pair in navy with grey. These shoes are tanks, so if you want something light then these are not for you. If you require maximum stability you can't go wrong with these. I did have sticker shock when I found out that these were the most expensive shoes of all that the NB salesman brought out. Sometimes you have to pay a great deal for something that works. These shoes were very stiff in the entire sole at first with very little flexibility. After wearing / exercising with them for two weeks they have become more flexible without losing any stability.

Hi: My 1540's are my favorite shoes. I'm not a runner, but I am a New Balance fan. I have a pair of 990V4 in the same same and wear them almost as much as the 1540's. The 1540 pair is solid. They are well made and very supportive. They are big enough for wiggle room; which my toes really enjoy. They are so comfortable that they are the last thing I pay any attention to during the day. At the end of the day, my feet feel great. If I can find someone my size to leave them to; they'll probably be passed on to a new generation when I pass.

Just what I expected: great fit/feel. NB athletic footwear is all I will ever purchase.

Web site was confusing when I went to replace my NB with the same model. Customer Support showed me how to click on size (4E) and model. Still my favorite jogging shoe. My street width is 3E, but with running socks this 4E is perfect fit.

I was born with club feet. Can't walk in any other running shoe. Need support and 6E width.

I wear size 12 6E. At 260 pounds this shoe holds up. Been running 2 miles with them and they feel great. Will order more.
