I enjoy wearing these shoes because they are comfortable and festive. I do not wear heels frequently but these are pleasant to wear. My only problem is that like some of the other styles of Bernie Mev, they slightly slip off my heel but not enough to be a serious issue

I wish these cam in 1/2 sizes as I am in between 5 and 6. The 6 fits okay with inserts, but my foot does slide a little. The 5 fit without inserts, but my I could tell my toes would rub through the elastic fairly quickly. They are very comfortable and I get lots of compliments on them. I don't expect the stretch elastic to last as long as other materials, but for the price a season or two is okay.

My mom loved these shoes. They were the only shoes she wore to walk for her 10 day tour to Israel. Light and comfy.

Love these shoes! Very comfortable. I have gotten so many compliments and people asking what brand they are! I usually have trouble with the heels slipping but these are perfect!

These shoes are very cute and comfortable, but they are stretchy so the fit is a little odd. You should probably order a half a size down in order to avoid them feeling like they are falling off.

I wear a women’s size 12. The size 42 is maybe a size 11. Definitely not a 12. Which breaks my heart, because these shoes are beautiful

I ordered these shoes in the jeans color but they arrived in jeans shimmer. Not the look I was going for, unfortunately. Also, they fit smaller than the two other pair of Bernie Mevs I own. Those are 37, but these were too snug in the 37.

For a 38, these shoes feel like a 7 and my toes are right on the edge. I am a 7.5 or 8. I will try going up to a 39.

I bought this in my regular 8 and it was too tight. Then I got the 9 and it was oddly still too narrow at the toe yet I was losing the shoe at the heel when I would walk. I haven't had this problem with other Bernie mevs but this just didn't work out. Plus I'm not 100% sure how I really felt about the strap at the top. It's a bit of a young look. My others that I bought in a different style, I absolutely love love love.

I have had these same shoes in a multicolored pattern for two years. This pair, same size was too loose in the heel and because of the elastic nature of the upper, the shoe slapped like a flip flop. Super bummed. My other pair ran short. These ran long.

I wanted these to work. I worried that they would look clunky, but they were more flattering than I expected. Unfortunately, the heel was too wide for me--my foot slipped with each step. I think that that will get worse as the elastic stretches, so I'll be returning these.

These run short. Others in my family wish they had another size larger than what Bernie Mev makes. Hope they wear and last superior to other brands that are not so expensive.

I usually wear an 8-1/2 or 9 M, and have a pair of these shoes in 40 M (referred to as US 9.5) that I purchased a couple years ago. Ordered the same size (40, now referred as US 10) this year. They are too short, though the older pair still fit perfectly. So 40 (9.5 equivalent) fits. 40 (10 equivalent) is a hair too short. And in most shoes I wear an 8.5 or 9. I'll be trying a larger size and keeping my fingers crossed, as I really like the casual look and overall feel.

I have worn this brand of shoes for years and love them but this time the shoes really seemed small and I had to order a full size larger. Not sure why but now they fit fine.

Shoes run half size small. I wear US size 6 and those feel like 5.5.

too small - I usually wear a 7. My toes were against the front. Color was much brighter than they appeared in the picture

I love, love love this style and comfort. After wearing them for awhile they've gotten too loose that I can't wear them safely.

love the shoes but had to return them; got the smallest size and they are WAY too big. No way is this a 4.5.

super comfy but they allowed my foot to slide forward which hurt my toes.

I origninally got these in a size 40 (my normal size). Then ordered the 41 to compare bc the 40 felt like my toes would stretch the toe box fairly quickly. But, as I feared, the 41s were way too loose. I considered keeping the 40s to see what would happen, but decided that I'd keep looking for a comfortable wedge with height.

Love these shoes. First ordered half a size larger, but slipped in the heel area. If you are a half size I recommend going smaller. Great look, style and comfort. Have in another color and they are great. Received many compliments on these shoes. Will definitely order other colors in the future.

These are lovely shoes and look great with jeans or perhaps a jumper, skirt or casual dress. A few caveats. (1) I normally wear a size 39 in Dansko (rarely a 40) but I had to trade two pairs up to a 41! They are seriously SMALL and have a fairly narrow toe. I've been stretching it inside; it is easy to do. (2) The arch support is poor/missing and yet somehow these don't feel bad. Still, not wanting to court trouble, I've added an arch support the full length, which soaks up the slack in the strap as well, which is too large and not adjustable. (I notice other reviewers mention the large, and unadjustable, strap.) (3) Also, the heel slips markedly. (I have an average heel, not narrow, and yet this was an instant problem. However, a rubber heel (4) Lastly, I turned my ankle twice while wearing these over 2 hours but managed not to get a full sprain. Great care should be taken! I think it is because the heel is loose and stretchy, and the foot easily shifts, rather than staying upright. Although I love these, I do feel that some modifications by the manufacturer could make these better and safer for our feet. Zappos, for their part, did an excellent job with the exchange of the small pair for the larger one. What a great company!

These are great shoes for people who need closed-toe sandal-type shoes for summer. I usually wear a 9, so I ordered the 8 1/2 size, and they felt okay, but I did slip off them going down stairs. Not safe. So I exchanged them for the next size down. They feel tight but not painful, and they are definitely cute.

I ordered these up one size based on the reviews, but they were too large, even when I put orthotic inserts in them. So my heel kept slipping out when I walked. Otherwise they are pretty cute. They do not push down on my bunion which is key, and the material is stretchy. The heel is a bit too squishy, like you would probably bounce if you jumped in these. I wonder how they do after getting wet.

Love the shoes.Hard to decide what size to get. I wear a 6 1/2 to 7 shoe. So I was between a 37 and 38. I decided on a 38. With an insert they fit okay. Without an insert they would have been too large. But I think the 37 would have been too small. I wouldn't wear them for hours at a time, but they are great for short periods of time. They are very stretchy. Zappos has a wonderful return policy, so if they don't fit, they will easily exchange them. I went on different web sites, and they all are different US sizes for the Size 37 and 38, so it is mostly a guessing game when it comes to what size will fit. But I think it is worth it, because they are so unique.
