I bought a pair for my husband and myself. My husband thought that I was being overly cautious and was not interested in them. We live on a hill and our driveway is slanted so when we got freezing rain he was salting the drive and taking very cautious steps and sliding, I suggested he just try the yaktrax -he did and now he's completely sold! He salted the entire drive and was able to walk all around with 0 slipping. He is now recommending them to friends. I also bought myself a pair and had the same experience on a driveway that was covered in ice - 0 slipping.

For several years we've owned pairs for all members of the family and have been happy with their performance. My son, the distance runner uses his runner trax in the winter whenever he trains/exercises.

The best gift ever. Used them after I was slipping while shoveling. I put them on and voila!! Got good traction & shoveled more. Just only wear them outside. Will damage floors. Love that they use recycled materials to make them.

I bought mine 5 years ago and they are still going strong! I break them out every winter and I do feel much safer getting around when I need to be outside. The only downside like someone else mentioned is that wearing them on tile is NOT advised it is VERY slippery when that happens so take them off before you step in.

I have worked for the US Postal Service for over 28 years in the Midwest ,and these are by far the best winter traction devices I have ever used. You still need to use common sense when using them, but they really do work, and are durable. I just now bought my second pair, the first lasted me for years. I suggested to one of our new hires to try these, and he did, and now loves them. Great product, I highly recommend them.

I bought myself a pair of Yaktrax several years ago. I keep them in my car all the time. Also I have a pair I keep in the house. Live in the Midwest get a lot of freezing rain and snow. They are GREAT!!! Finally got my husband a pair, finally he used them and can't believe how easy he can get around on ice. We are both in our 70's they prevent falls, which we don't need. Great product!!!!

My company provides these to its drivers, free of charge, to help prevent slips and falls during the winter months. I used them for the first time today in Maine walking in packed snow for about 1/8 of a mile and didn't slip once, while other people were slipping every few feet. They are easy to get on and off and I was able to walk like I normally would on dry pavement. For short distances (walking from a parking spot to a business) I would highly recommend these. As to the durability of this product, I can not comment as I have only used them once. However, if used for their intended purpose, (walking on snow or ice) I would think they would hold up well. The "walk" model of the Yaktrax are not designed to be worn all day while working outdoors. This model is for people walking short distances on snow and ice. For someone who works outside all day, or wants to use them for hiking, I would probably suggest looking at one of the other models. One last comment. Do not wear these indoors, especially on tile surfaces. Wet metal on tile = instant slip.

I bought these for my elderly mom last Christmas and they work SO WELL that I am getting some for both my Dad and Stepmom this year! My mom loves them and wears them every time it even looks icey outside. Since she lives alone this is great peace of mind!

My son bought these for me last year. I attached them to my purse, and put them on anytime there was a possibility of ice.I live in Michigan, so that is most of the winter. They are great for parking lots, walking down the driveway-- anytime I'm out of the house. The ads are all for outdoor types because they are young and cute. I'm 60, I've slipped and hit my head a few times on pavement in the past. You do not need to be a hiker to need these. Yaktrax are wonderful! I'm not afraid to walk from my car into the office any more. I'm buying them for all my friends for Christmas this year.

I bought these for my daughter because the steps into her third floor apartment are old, steep, and totally exposed to the elements (on the outside of the building). She reports that Yaktrax work great on her stairs and make her fell much safer in inclement weather conditions. She likes them so much that she made sure to pack them for her month long European trip, even though she had a very small weight limit since everything she took with her had to fit in the backpack she carried everywhere. She used the Trax in Iceland and on a mountaintop above Innsbruck, Austria. She says she will, without hesitation, buy herself a another pair when she finally wears these out.

A Christmas present for my wife. We live in NH and she works 3-11 and must trek across snowy, icy driveways to her car at night. She was astonished at how well they work and how safe she feels with them on. I couldn't ask for a better present and am going to get a pair for myself. Easy to pack and carry with you everywhere!

I purchased these for my husband. I really keeps him from slipping on the driveway when he is clearing the driveway of snow. After falling on the ice and breaking his shoulder 2 years ago, he won't go out and snow blow without them!

This is my second pair. I have a dog, and it I feel so much safer walking him when there is ice on the ground. Also, I love to walk for exercise, so I can keep on walking even when there is snow and ice on the ground.

Easy to put on and to remove. Walk on icy sidewalks as if the pavement is dry like summery.

I work outside in all kinds of weather and my job requires a lot of walking. My Yaktrax give me the confidence to go where my job takes me. And without worrying over every step. I also used them on some trail runs and they worked as advertised.
