I would never want to be without YakTrax. We don't get a lot of snow in North Carolina but when we do, it often falls as ice and going to the mailbox could land you in the hospital. I don't understand people who don't invest $20 to potentially save thousands, plus the pain and inconvenience. However, always go up a size. I have women's size 6.5 feet and in winter boots I can use the Medium YakTrax but prefer to use my husband's Large. If they are too big you just pull them further over the top of the shoe. The rubber is thicker too. I just bought Medium for a friend who has bigger feet than me (not wanting to insult her) but I am returning them and getting large instead.

I wear a women's 9 and bought the Medium. Size is perfect on boots. Very comfortable to walk with in the snow and ice. These work best on hard packed snow or snow covered ice. Be very careful on exposed ice because it is just as slick, if not more so with the metal coils. I still need to watch the pavement and avoid sheets of ice.

I LOVE my YakTrax! They make me feel invincible! I bragged about them on Facebook after seeing friends post about sliding their children and other items across the icy snow, and many were very interested to know more. A really great product that really works!

Walk with more confidence on the ice and snow with the Yaktrax. I live in the hilly countryside and walk daily. Earlier this year, I wiped out 3 times on ice I didn't see under snow. Since I've almost made it to the 70's mark, I started worrying about consequences of falling. A friend told me about Yaktrax, so ordered them. First time I wore them while walking, I again could walk faster and not worry about what is under the snow!

I bought these several years ago following a knee replacement surgery. I was terrified to take the dog in the Minnesota woods due to the ice on the trails. I attached the Yaktrax to my boots, and have never looked back. I have neither slipped nor fallen. I feel extremely secure, and highly recommend this product.

I think these work great. I'm still careful when I walk on ice with them but definitely feel safer. I bought another pair for my granddaughter who is afraid to walk on ice. I think every senior and even kids should have a pair for winter.

I have had mine for 4 yrs or so. I can walk down hill on car driven roads of packed snow. There is no chance you will slip and fall with these on. However you must be very careful walking indoors on commercial floors as you can easily slip. But outside on ice you are the boss. I wouldn't and at 70 shouldn't leave home without them. Worth every penny of their cost especially if you know what its like to slip and fall on ice and snow.

Love these, I live where it snows in the winter, I have a pair in each car, I use these 24/7 in the winter, you can even walk on ice with them.

Yaktrax Walk are easy to put on and they will prevent you falling while walking on ice and snow. They should especially be essential winter gear for all geezers like me.

Omg I never knew these we're a thing. I walk 3 dogs everyday 7 days a week and walking through ice and snow with dogs can be deadly. I can't count how many times I have fallen. A friend told be about them so I ordered a pair. Well one thing where you been all my life. THE BEST THING EVER!!! THANK YOU

I bought a pair of walking yaktrax after my sister told me they help while walking dogs in icy conditions. I've almost lost my footing on ice (but thankfully never went down) when my dog tugs on her leash. The yaktrax keep my footing secure!

Great product. I have a different model of Yaktrax that I purchased on a recommendation from my friend who lives in Wisconsin. They are WONDERFUL!! Kept me firmly upright and secure this icy winter in Pennsylvania. The pair I'm reviewing I bought for my husband's trail shoes along with a different model for his boots for next winter. He hasn't had a chance to use them so this review is based solely on my personal experience with my own Yaktrax.

As a senior who lives in Minnesota and has balance issues, my Yaktrax allow me to remain mobile and independent even in the worst that Mother Nature throws at us! I literally use my Yaktrax daily, for months, and because they are sensibly priced, I don't have to worry about wear and tear - I can stomp through wet and across ice until they are worn to pieces!

While I didn't get them in time for the biggest snowfall in years because I hadn't heard of them, I did get them for the next snowfall. I found them to be awesome. They are easy to attach to the shoe/boot and kept me from slipping and sliding.
