These have ended the winter boot search for me! After years of tall, clunky duck boots that loose waterproof durability over time, went for these as my tall Hunter wellies have always stayed waterproof. These are perfect for winter bike riding as well, I wear them with a thick boot socks for insulation. They are the perfect balance of fashionable/practical and get many compliments. Do order up, these run small and are basically air tight once you wrestle them on thanks to that handy loop. Totally satisfied with these!

I'm really happy with these. I have been searching for the perfect rubber boots to get me through the winter bike commute. They are a little tight to pull on but I like the slim profile. They don't rub at all. I am a size 7.5 and bought an 8. Tried the 7's on and they were too snug. My feet do sweat in them but that might just be a rubber boot situation in general.

Really like these boots; I wear an 8 in shoes/boots usually and 8.5 in sneakers. I tried an 8 and a 9 and opted to go with the 9. The 8's were wearable but my toe was touching the end - an 8.5 in this boot would be perfect. The 9's are fine though. I pull back on the loop tab to get my heel in so don't really have a problem getting on. In the tall Hunters I wear a US 7 so I guess the size down for tall and size up for ankle applied to me.

I just received my Hunter Chelsea boots and I love them! I purchased the red pair and they are gorgeous! The color is just right. Not too bright and not too dark! I also have the Hunter original tall in peacock blue! Love! And Zappos customer service is off the charts! Awesome service. I had a problem with my hunter tall boots so I called in and it was taken care of immediately. Thank you Allison in customer service, she was just awesome! I ordered my Hunter original tall in a 10, which is a little big but when I add thick socks it's just right. I originally wear a 9 1/2 and should've gone down to a 9. My Chelsea I ordered in a 10 as well and it fits really good and lots of toe room. So my advice is if you're in between sizes like me order a size down in the Hunter tall. And if you're a whole size still order down for a more snug fit. They run big. And in the Chelsea order a size up. Thanks Zappos!

Very cute boots that I look forward to wearing this winter. I'm confused by the advice to size down, though. I wear a 7.5N and read everywhere that the boots run large and you've got to size way, way down, but for me the 7 was too short (even in thin socks) and I had to return for an 8. I had no trouble getting the boots on, I suppose because my feet are narrow.

I got these boots last fall, right before the rainiest winter in Seattle's history. I really, really love them, they aren't as heavy and hot as full-size wellies and they look cute enough to get away with wearing them all day. I would warn that I can't wear them without socks that come up above the top of the boot. I have fairly chunky calves and the top of the boot will rub and chafe anywhere it touches so you may be disappointed if your intention was to wear them with bare legs. Otherwise, they are just perfect.

These boots are great for rainy days, and much easier to travel with than the tall hunter boots. They do run large, so order a size down, unless you plan on using insoles.

I really like these boots, with 2 exceptions. Very narrow in the ankle, and I have Minnie Mouse feet. I had to stretch them before I could wear them without getting raw marks on my inside ankles. Also hard to get on and off, should have come with a shoe horn. Other than that, hey! Just what I was looking for.

This is the perfect shoe for my ocean-beach- walking needs. Regular water-proof hiking boots were quickly getting stiff and ruined but these seem perfect. Yes, no question that you must have thin ankles to get them on. But for me, the struggle is worth it. And I wear orthotics otherwise I would not be happy with the inside sole that does not provide much support. Also, if it wasn't for the orthotics, the right size would be too big. But I much prefer the look of these compared to the taller Hunters.

I got the red and they're super cute! Been getting a lot of compliments on these. It's true that the rubber is a bit tight around the ankle, so I would recommend wearing them with tights or socks that go above the top of the boots while you break them in. I haven't tried wearing them against bare legs yet, but with socks or tights they feel fine. The footbed is pretty flat; there's not much support. But for me that's OK since I will only be wearing them occasionally (on cold, rainy days).

Best boots ever. Good grip and keep my feet nice and dry. They rubbed a little bit on the ankle the first couple of days, and were a little hard to put on, but they loosened up and now fit like a glove.

Love these shoes. I'm so happy I purchased them. They are very comfortable and easy to walk in. Some of the other reviewers said they were difficult to get on with the tiny foot opening. The first 2/3 times it was a little challenging, but I do not have an issue anymore.

I purchased these for my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves them. They were a little tight on her ankle but after a few days of wearing them they became comfortable. She raves about these boots!

I ordered this for my 84-year-old Mom. She loved them, but it was too difficult for her to take them off. The elastic holds really snug. Not a problem for a younger woman, but sadly, didn't work for my mom.

Excellent addition to my Hunter collection! Looks great with pants or dresses! I want to get another color! Highly recommend!

I bought these boots to wear in the warmer months, spring and summer, to the dog park in the mornings. I love Hunter brand boots and this Chelsea style was perfect! I wore them once with low socks, and by the time I crossed the street, the rubber was cutting into my legs. Stupidly I walked all the way to the park and hobbled around in pain. Once I returned home, I saw that these boots had completely dug off 20 layers of skin. While cute, these are not meant to wear without socks, and I would recommend thick socks. Zappos was wonderful! They allowed me to keep the boots and are giving me a full refund. Who does that? Sadly, what I thought to be summer rain boots have become Spring/Fall rain boots.

Great looking boots. I wanted a pair for the summer/spring as oppose to tall ones that I use in the falls/winter. My only recommendation would be to wear socks that are equal to the length of the boot. If wearing an ankle sock, the boot rubs on the skin and it hurts.

So cute, but really hurt my ankle bone. I hate to return them, but I must. I have prominent ankle bones, so maybe more normal-ankle-boned people will love these (count your lucky stars).

I had to order these short boots a full size larger than my tall hunter boots, partly because it's difficult to slip my foot into the opening. Once on, the boot is very comfortable. I'm so glad that Zappos makes ordering another size so easy!

Stylish rain boot. The opening for your foot is very small but can stretch. It gets easier to get your foot in the more you wear them. Definitely requires a good sock, but who wears rain boots without socks?

These are great looking boots that are very warm, but the opening to get them on is quite small. It was very hard to get my foot in. I would not order these boots if you have thicker ankles and/or calves.

Okay but really irritating on the ankles. Hardish to put on. Okay otherwise!

I really wanted to like these boots. I was hoping these could end the search for good rain boots but unfortunately they didn't work out. I am in between sizes (7, 7.5 and 8) and tried both the 7 and 8. 7 was too small and 8 was too big. Unfortunately Hunter doesn't make this pair in half sizes but it would have been perfect if they did!

These shoes looked great! However, the top edges of the boot dug into the side of my legs. I do have to admit that I have large calves so this may have been the issue.
