I wear bilateral Exosym carbon fiber leg devices that literally eat shoes from the inside out. I've had these Dunham boots for a full year (worn for 2 falls and 1 winter so far) and they have withheld the carbon fiber beautifully. There is not one spot on the inside that is worn, which is unheard of in all of my other shoes (including New Balance shoes, which is the same company). They are extremely comfortable and easy to put on, with a big toe box that I really need with my devices. I can't say enough good things about this boot!! I was in the wide shoe store recently while a man was trying them on and he said they were so comfortable he didn't want to take them off and wore them out of the store. I've worn mine a lot and the tread is holding up just as well as the inside of the boot. Please Dunham, do not stop making this boot!! I can't feel the bottom of my foot since I have a footplate, so I can't comment on the negative review that the sole is thin enough to feel things underneath it. It works beautifully for me.

Bought these guys in Fall of 2016 to hike the Mighty 5 and both Grand Canyon rims. Superb performance. Just finished 6 countries in 12 days in Europe. Lots of cubed-granite and cobble stone sidewalks. All good ways to twist up your feet! Again, great experience! No arch problems, no feet sweating, great stability....and no need to take them off during the day.

As much about Zappos as the shoes. Being a much bigger than average size, and a wide foot, I was hesitant to order online. I went by the reviews and picked the Dunham's. They honestly were not as comfortable "out of the box" as I was expecting, but not uncomfortable. I've only work them a couple of days but they've gotten better. I suspect they will continue to improve. The service, a whole 'nother level. Keeping up with tracking, saw they were out for delivery. Had someone waiting, not knowing if they might need to be signed for. They were marked delivered, but never showed at my house. I didn't blame Zappos as they are not the actual carrier. They did however put a replacement pair in the mail immediately and shipped them overnight. The second pair arrived next day as promised, and they gave me a 35.00 coupon for my next purchase. Not many around with service like that

Have usually selected Lowa's but these from Dunham as just as good, room to allow my braces to fit and are comfortable too boot ( pun intended ).

Excellent fit for the wide foot. I ordered a size 12 4E to fit my true 11 4E-sized footprint. The top edge of the heel has a nice flex to it, which prevents rubbing and binding. The boot is very light while sturdy. I want to feel the ground under me when I walk and the sole is perfect for that.The lacing system has just the right combo of fixed and speed lacers. I put this boot right on and have worn it every day with no issues.

My 4th pair of size 11 4E Dunham Cloud's. They fit perfect and truly live up to their name.

I wear braces on both legs and have been looking for a shoe/boot with an opening so I can slide my foot with brace into the shoe. This shoe/boot fits the bill. I have usually worn Dunham oxfords for that reason. Always pleased with the quality and durability of Dunhams and cheaper than Lowa's. Very pleased.

One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased.

I purchased this model after success with my last pair of Dunham boots. After 5 years of scouting, they finally gave up. Upon receipt of these boots, which I might add came in the very next day, I was pleased with the fit and overall workmanship. Hopefully I get another 5 years use from these.

First pair of waterproof hiking shoes I've ever owned and I love them. Roomy but snug in all the right places. I've actually gone out of my way to step in puddles and my feet stay dry. Great quality shoe plus Zappos great service makes the experience wholly satisfying.

These boots were extremely comfortable from the moment I put them on. I have had them for almost one year now and they show no sign of deterioration in any of the aspects of the boot. I wear a 10 B (mens) and these fit like a glove. That almost never happens. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and Zappos in general. I will continue to utilize this site.

I wear Exosym IDEO leg braces, and it always a big challenge to find shoes that will fit them. These boots have been amazingly comfortable for my very wide foot and the braces fit in snugly and comfortably. They are deep enough that my heel doesn't slip out. I'm so pleased to have found them, especially in a 4E width. The toe box is very roomy, and if you have a wider foot these are definitely worth trying! I was sloshing around in very deep puddles and they are indeed waterproof, at least up to the area where the tongue is no longer stitched at the side to the boot itself. There are open areas at the very top on both sides where the tongue does not protect the foot from moisture, but other than that, they are wonderful. Just don't go too deep into water in them. If they stitched all the way up the sides of the tongue I probably couldn't have gotten my braces in them, so I'll take them as they are. This will likely be my go to winter boot for as long as they make them.
