I'm keeping these, versus other pairs of Spring Steps I've tried. They are maybe a little large, a half-size at most -- I need to wear thicker socks with them than I usually wear -- but with thicker socks, they fit well. The leather is very nice quality, and they look elegant. For a tapered heel, they were comfortable and easy to walk in. That said, I wouldn't plan to wear them all day when I'm on my feet a lot -- more for other occasions, as "dress boots" rather than everyday. Re: another reviewer's complaint that they're not fitted at the top: they're not snug, but I thought they looked good; it's not a big, cowboy-boot style gap, they're just not snug. However, I don't wear skirts, so I'll be wearing them with bootcut or fitted, narrow or ankle length pants, which will show off the boot without showing the top, if that makes sense. If you want to wear them with skirts, your view may differ. I'm happy with them and their cool vintage/bohemian style.

These booties are adorable in style, but somewhat lacking in leather quality and therefore overpriced for the construction. I found they are pieced by different textures of leather some smooth, some marked and lighter in color. Luckily I had some clear leather conditioner paste to rub in and they now look much more even. I don't like to have to go to this effort of "fixing" something brand new. I felt they were true to size overall, my size 8 and the size 38 which is Euro, fit comfortably except the heel space is larger than most dress shoes. I had to wear heavier socks with them, but overall given the difficulty I have finding booties that fit comfortably, I'm keeping them.

I always get boots 1/2 size larger for comfort as I have a wide foot. These are no different and fit perfectly. I love the style-very retro and they do not look large on my 9 1/2 feet. The quality of construction is what I expected and did not disappoint. They are more that I usually pay for any shoes, but I splurged a bit for the style-remind me of old fashioned spats. They can be dressed up or down and I plan to take them to Europe on my trip for more dressy venues. They are about 6-8 hour boots by my scale of comfort depending on how much you stand, and I have walked in them for inclement weather without slipping. Not snow boots, but they are not too slick. Well made with beautiful leather, velvet like accent. Would recommend.

These shoes are very cute, comfortable and well constructed. I love them! The toe is not too round, not too pointy...juuuust right. I didn't know about this brand until Zappos but will order more pairs as they are super comfortable...my main consideration. I ordered them at 8pm last night and they were delivered at 2pm the next day. Zappos - how do you do that? I wear a 6 1/2 and ordered a 36 and they fit just right. 37's were way too big.

These boots are so attractive, yet smells so horrible upon opening the box. Also, the maker of this shoe sells them for less. I was disappointed that they smelled so bad and were also more expensive than on the Spring Step site.

Absolutely love these shoes. Have two! Unfortunately, Spring Step is not willing to make repairs on products not purchased from them directly and the sticker covering the heal on my first pair is peeling off. These are fun, comfortable and pretty well made shoes, though!

These are the cutest comfortable shoes. They fit true to size. They are well made. I will be back for the brown.

I have not worn them yet but have around the house to see how comfortable they are. They are quite comfortable and I am looking forward to wearing them.

Very cute boots and I look forward to wearing them. These types of boots generally don't have much arch support in any brand, so these are about average that way. I like the styling details with the color of the heel and the material and details used on the shoe. Very distinctive. I do wish the heels were a smidgen lower (hence 4 stars on comfort), but nevertheless a great shoe.

This is my first pair of L'Artiste boots. Overall I love them. They are as comfortable as I expected and the style is perfect. I got them in black, and the size Zappos recommended for me was perfect.

As soon as I slipped my foot in this boot, I loved them. Perfect size fit. Wore them while standing and loved the support!!!

These are truly my favorite pair of shoes at the moment! They look great with jeans or when I dress up for a nice evening out, and I can actually walk for long periods without discomfort. The detail on the top leather is really beautiful and soft. My only hiccup with them is that when I travel, they set off the airport metal detectors due to the decorative metal flowers.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS! I bought these for their retro look to wear with my Vintage dresses and they are BEAUTIFUL! Will definitely get them in black as well if my size comes back in stock. I have a wide foot and normally only order shoes that come in wide widths and these come in Medium only, but the style was so perfect for what I wanted them for that I just had to try them so I crossed my fingers and ordered them anyway and I am so glad I did. They're GORGEOUS! The leather is a rich beautiful color and they are actually very comfortable for a higher heeled dress boot and look just stunning with my vintage fashions. I think they run a bit small, but that may just be because I normally buy only wide sizes, so I did have to go up a full size on these.

The shoes are very cute but you will need to wear thicker socks and/or an innersole insert. I love the style which is acceptable with dresses, skinny pants or regular pants. Appropriate for the office as well. Get these boots; you will not regret it!

I absolutely LOVE this boot and own server all different styles of Spring Step shoes. I love the quality and styles! This boot fits true to size. I liked the black one so much I just ordered it in the brown as well. COMFORTABLE all day long!

I love these booties! They are super comfortable. I wore them for eight hours on the first wearing and my feet felt supported and stable. Gorgeous details make these stand out as well.
