the shoes are comfortable, but cause my feet to get very warm. ive never had that happen before.

The best thing about the shoes is that they are true to size. I wear 11 wide and they fit perfectly. They could be a little softer and have a little more arch support (I have a high instep.) I put in a shoe insert and both of those problems were solved. As far as stylishness, they aren’t as clunky looking as my last shoes. I’m not expecting them to be stylish because you can’t have comfort and style at the same time. I would buy them again.

I have been wearing New Balance 608s for years...but changes in my feet now have me in extra wide width. I ordered my old 608 size, hoping that it would work, but alas it pinches my toes more than the neuromas can tolerate. The shoes felt good otherwise and I would happily wear them if I could. The arch support is not stellar but it is adequate. Unfortunately, they do not come in an extra wide width, so...back they go and I'm now looking for a new 'go to' walking shoe.

This is a terrific shoe. It's very comfortable and well-made. I really tried to find a way to make it fit but unfortunately I ended up returning it. I ordered a half size larger based on the reviews I read. The fit was good in the heel - I wear a 2N -- but there was not room in the boxy end of my foot. My big toes and little toes both rubbed the sides. That hasn't happened before. I use half-orthotics so I tried different combinations in the toe end to see if I could make it fit comfortable, but it did not. Also, must have been a packing error, but the insole that came with the shoe was at least one whole size larger than the bottom of the shoe! I remove it anyhow so it didn't matter to me. I suggest Zappos check these before they go out.

I was looking for a good pair of cross trainers. These were extremely cushy on the inside, like I like them. The only issue was the back came up too far and hurt the back of my ankle.

I really liked the looks of this shoe. The brown is suede. But it is a heavy shoe, weighing almost 3/4 lb each. And it was a little large for my thin foot. It would support an orthotic. I was sorry to return it. Thank you, Zappos, for your generous free delivery and return policy. Barbara

I ordered 8 M which is my usual sneaker size. On the outside, it looks like all the sneakers I wore since elementary school, even the same solid leather. As usual, I took out the New Balance cushioned insert, and placed in my orthodics for my low arches. The whole shoe felt very cushy and nice, except for 2 things. #1) 9 out of 10 sneakers are too roomy for me usually, and I have toes that angle downward toward the floor, said the salesmen at Nordstrom shoe department. However, there is so much padding and cushioning in all directions in this shoe, that it was TOO MUCH for my toes - not enough room to wiggle my toes around as I walk or rest. #2) Perhaps it's real or perhaps it's perceived, that the solid leather seemed slightly stiff to try to pull the toe area tighter across the top. I have been wearing light weight, more meshy-style sneakers for about 10 years and am able to easily pull the light weight fabric tighter so the fabric is closer around my toes. Difficult to do that with this pair. I will be sending them back.

I wish New Balance would be more consistent in sizing. I wear 10 1/2 but was advised to order the 11. The 11 fits but comes very close to being too short. These will work but I would sure like to be able to order the same size and say it is perfect.

I must hold the Zappos record for trying shoes and returning them! I have arthritic knees and need a supportive shoe built for overpronators. Have tried all the expensive running and walking shoes from Saucony, Brooks, Asics, and New Balance. They either don’t have enough support, are very stiff or they don’t lace up high enough and my heel slips. As almost a last resort I order 4 pair of these New Balance wx608v4 in the only four colors left. They are about half the price and lace up tightly. My knees do not hurt when I wear them. Have not returned them....wearing them daily for 3 days and they seem very comfortable. They do feel a bit wide, but not a big issue.

These shoes are comfortable with good support. They look a little boxy on my feet, but I can live with that.

I had been wearing running shoes (also by New Balance) and my ankle would swell during and after walking. When I put these on they were noticeably more comfortable and I didn't need any inserts. However my second toe is longer than my big toe and it was getting pushed up against the top the shoe. After wearing them for awhile it is definitely less noticeable but still there. They are overall very comfortable but for my foot I need about a 1/4 more room for my long toes.

Unfortunately had to return shoes . i really liked the style. But like the other people said was smaller then marked.

these shoes arrived today, and the left heel twists. Both shoes arch support does not work well, and the middle of the shoe boggs down when i am walking.

These were ok nothing special compared to other new balance that I own. Returned because they were too small

I have a very small heel 4A. I usually wear New Balance Narrow (2A) in tennis shoes. I order a half size larger and wear thicker socks. It works for me. However, the last of these shoes runs a half size small.

In the past I have ordered this same shoe a half size larger for comfort because I stand all day. They didn't have this time so I ordered the 10. The toe area is wider and my added insoles don't fit. Where they fit just right in the bigger shoe I previously ordered. I have to adjust my insoles when I wear the shoes.

Comfortable but VERY wide for a B. Need to replace laces as they are so long from pulling sides in, they hang to the ground.

Overall I'm happy with these sneaks. I had to go back and forth a few times, as the first pair or two (a different brand and style) weren't good for me. I have a wide foot, and these are extremely roomy and comfy for my toes. The style is what it is! I'm fine with the way they look, and I needed a leather upper because the mesh type, although also comfy, don't provide enough support for my feet, which tend to shift out after some wear. Two things about these, though. One is they're a bit high on the ankle bone. And the other is the shoelaces are really long, and they're kind of "slippery" for lack of a better word. I prefer laces that are more rope-like. But neither of these is a deal-breaker. I'm happy with my choice. And if you did need to fit an orthotic, as I noticed some others have commented, I believe there's enough room. Good walking shoe.

Runs small. Other than that it is a nice shoe.

I had been wearing the 600's for several years and when I went to reorder I mistakenly ordered these because I was too lazy to check the style number on my shoes. Anyway, these fit true to size for me and were not too tight in the toe box. They feel much lighter than my previous New Balance shoes and they're comfortable. I'm not sure I care for the look of the stitching on the toes of the shoes but hey, I did catch them on sale.

This is really a good shoe. I had to get a half size than I normally purchase but I love how it fits. The comfort and width is just right. I am a nurse and I wear this shoe for many hours. Love the style.

Design rubbed my bunion immediately. Extended sole at the heel changed my gait. Cushy insole and good arch support.
