Pros: These shoes fit me perfectly and are extremely comfortable. They look great and sharp. Cons: The top/front leather of one shoe has discolored in several spots only after 4-5 times of usage. Not sure if that is to be expected.

I really like these shoes, and I really wanted to keep them because the style is great and they are very comfortable. Unfortunately, in the Cognac leather color, the color seemed to chip off the toes very easily. I am not hard on shoes, as I have a pair of black leather dress shoes that I wear 3+ days/week for 4+ years and they still look great. These 2+ months into ownership are becoming embarrassing so I elected to return.

Clean, sharp look. Some coworkers commented in it being very "European" style. Bottom sole probably is not as durable as others I've worn, but these are great and comfortable for office wear. Because of the taper, I personally added a half size larger and it worked great for me, but your mileage may vary.

I have been wearing these shoes for a week waiting and looking for any flaw or weakness to appear! Being not really familiar with this brand other than the cheap gaudy patent pleather gators my uncles wore back in the 1990's Zoot Suit resurgence era (just Google "Stacy Adams shoes" and you will get an eye full) I was not expecting positives from the Kordell beyond the low price. Out of the box these shoes smell like factory chemicals. It is really potent and intense but after a few days of wear the smell goes away (or maybe I have gotten used to it and my olfactory receptors just ignore it). In the store I noticed the Kordell Cognac Color has that handmade "finger print" effect where every shoe looks slightly different in terms of the color and hue. For me this is good because it lends a genuine and rich look to the leather. Although you will not smell any hint of leather underneath the chemical odors. So I went through a couple of pairs before I found the right hue that matched my belt. So after a week of wearing these shoes I did not encounter any meaningful negatives or reasons not to buy these shoes. In fact I really, really like them. For the price these are great looking, comfortable and durable business shoes. I took one star off because of the factory chemical smell that diminishes after a week or so wearing them. Here is my take: POSITIVES: - Durable leather uppers. Held up well to rain water, minor scuffs and flexing. probably one of the best quality leather shoes I have worn in this price range. - Good out soles. I initially thought they were black but under direct sunlight they are a dark brown - which I prefer. - Comfortable foot bed. Great for walking. I usually insert my own insoles for comfort but below that the soles are a nice flexible shock absorbent rubber. Which may not look as good as leather or wood but is very comfortable. - I love the closed-tongue oxford style lacing. Most shoes in this budget tend to go cheap on the lacing but here the laces and lacing system is quality. -Stylish. I have been getting many compliments on these. Compared to Cole Haans and Kenneth Cole and Aston Grey the quality of the design surpasses those brands. In the end you get a clean cut oxford dress shoe nothing more and nothing less. This is a great thing. -Price - The retail price is awesome! You will get better comfort and just as good, if not better, quality than pricier brands like Kenneth Cole, Aldo, Aston Grey, etc... NEGATIVES: - These shoes smell like factory chemicals. I am not sure if is the glue or leather curing but it is potent smell that remains strong on your nostrils days to weeks after you start wearing these shoes. The first couple of days it was overbearing to be in an enclosed, un-vented space, while wearing these shoes. During the first six months of owning these shoes you may want to stay clear of babies, elevators, public buses, airplanes and drive with your car windows down . - The upper leather is not a flexible as other shoes. While the soles are comfortable and flexible the upper leather is stiff and unyielding. After a week I still have not broken them in. Oxford style shoes by design (close tongue lacing) are not meant for comfort so I would have wanted the leather to be a little bit more soft and pliant. - These Kordell shoes are not very breathable. Again oxfords by design (closed tongue lacing) are not the most breathable shoes so I did not expect Crocs-level of breath-ability here but the stiff rigid leather on these Kordell shoes do not help. -Because the Kordell's heel and outsole are rubber the heels get dusty easier that wood or leather bottom shoes. After a day or two of dry weather commute into work I find that I have to wipe them off with a damp paper towel to restore the gloss.

Great shoes for the price. High quality and sophisticated style. I wanted shinier than usual black shoes to go with my tux without having that patent leather look that sometimes seems more like plastic than leather. These give me the elegant look I want and are comfortable. I wore them all day and danced until midnight at my daughter's wedding. I highly recommend these shoes.

Great shoe at a good price point. Looks sharp and more expensive than it actually is.

Usually take a 12 but in this shoe the 12 was too small to get my foot in. No half sizes so I tried the 13 which fit very well. Tough to get your feet in the first couple of times, but that's typical. Pretty comfortable and the rubber soles make you more stealthy then the leather bottoms.

Good looking shoe!

Right out of the box I did 12 hours at work in the shoes and felt great. I normally wear a size 9 but according to the reviews I’ve read a half a size smaller was a good choice. Received lots of compliments on the shoes great buy for the price The shoes are definitely worth more than $60.

Classic, comfortable shoe. Works for all occasions from boardroom meetings to nights out for a few drinks. Has an understated elegance that is hard to come by in alot of clothing.

Second time purchasing same shoe from Zappos. Stacy Adams -- well-made, uniquely-styled shoes. If it matters to you, people do notice and appreciate the quality. Fast service from Zappos is terrific, too.

I needed shoes to go with my black suit and these were perfect. Simple design, shiny, comfortable and the fit was perfect. They are a bit pricey but this was exactly what I was looking for. They were worth the little extra money. I highly recommend them.
