Following reviews, I ordered up a half size. I can see now how that gives me options - thin or thick socks. High enough that ankle socks won't show. I was looking for a go to daily shoe - for those days when Style does not dictate I wear my cowboy boots (I always wear cowboy boots unless it's snowing). I'm very pleased as this shoe will fit the bill. Low enough heel that I'm not restricted to inside only. Cute enough to wear with skirts and dresses. Very pleased.

The style of this boot was exactly what I was looking for, and the sole felt comfortable. Unfortunately the top part of the shaft dug into the front of my calf when I walked, and I knew it would drive me nuts, especially on long walks. If you're looking for a comparable alternative, I ended up choosing the Sam Edelman Petty boot. They're almost exactly the same in style, but the SEs have a bit of a shorter shaft so there was no annoying digging in my leg. These Luckys do run small. I'm almost always a size 6 but the 6.5 was a better fit for me.

I really loved these boots but they didn't hold their form too well. They look more beatup than it should be and I don't wear theme everyday. I would have purchased more but just can't justify it

I followed other reviewers' lead and bought a 1/2 size up. I am between a 7.5 and 8 but the 8 was perfect. It is a little like a cow boot, but since the leather seemed good quality I decided to go for it. Its been comfy to wear though I might add some gel insoles to make it feel really comfortable since padding is minimal. While the leather itself is holding up the rim edge around the front of the boot has been easily scuffed. So while I can wear this for both work and weekend I would say it's not the book for the more polished look. If you want something for relaxed wear then this works well.

I ordered half size larger based on the reviews. It feels a tad too big - my heel slide up a bit, but comfortable otherwise. I ordered smaller size to compare and... it was way too tight and narrow. Back to the bigger one and after walking in the house for couple of hours I decided to keep it. The shoes are comfortable and look good, the leather will get more wrinkles as it ages (better) and I can wear a thin sock. Looks good with skinny pants!

This is a cute, sturdy boot. It seems well-made, of nice quality leather. I ordered a half-size up because I thought they might fit too narrow. Heel slides out a little and they hit my ankle bone, which I think could cause problems. This is a pair you just need to try on.

This is a great quality and stylish bootie. My one gripe is the turn up at the toe where I would prefer it lie flat.

Very cute but feels narrow in the forefoot. I kept them hoping that I could break them in. After one wear they feel more comfortable already.

This is a really cute boot but narrow. I ordered my normal size of an 8.5 and don't know if ordering a half size up as some have suggested would have helped or not. I almost returned them due to the narrowness. I am glad I didn't as they have stretched enough to make them comfortable. I would recommend them.

I really wanted to like these! Love the zippers but the side hit my ankles in an uncomfortable place so I had to return them. :(

The leather is beautifully soft and they're super comfy. The heel is a bit wide, but that's easily remedied. A great buy in the ~$100 range.

Love this boot! Runs a little large; however, fit was good with thick socks and ok with "regular" socks. Did not have to break in, comfy right out of box. Will definitely buy more lucky brand.

These are my go to boots. They were a bit snug when I first got them, but they have formed to my feet nicely. I can walk around for hours in these and my feet remain comfortable.

Nice color and soft material. I was expecting a little more distress finish, not quite so polished, but it may take time to get the more warn-in look. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase, although I've not yet had a chance to wear these booths for extended periods of time. I'm a size 39, or 8.5 and ordered 8.5 and the fit is just right with thin socks.

Love the look of these boots. I wear a size 8, but the 8 I ordered was too tight all over. Ordered an 81/2 and it's now tight in the foot area and too loose in the heel area; slips when I walk. Much as I hate to, I must return them!

This is a very nice looking boot. It did not fit me very well. I ordered an 8.5 which is normal for me (although sometimes I do fit into an 8). The heal slipped a lot. Loved the looks but it didn't work for me. I did not try an 8 which may have been fine.

Mixed reviews on this bootie because it is inconsistently manufactured. I originally ordered the green color and while it fit well and was very comfortable with enough room in the toe box, I didn't love the color enough to keep it. I exchanged them for the same size but in the cognac color instead so they would go with more of my wardrobe. The cognac color felt smaller in size and width and I had to send them back. I'm very disappointed because these are so cute and the insole is actually cushioned and they appear to be great quality.

Bought this boot along with the Blondo waterproof booties. The Blondo booties are more comfortable, wider on the toe. I also found these slightly uncomfortable because the toe was turned up. And the grey color was less versatile than a more taupe one

Great color, great heel height, easy to slip on with the cute side zippers. These are a little more rigid than I expected but are slowly softening with wear. As with all Lucky boots, the sole absolutely makes the boot - it has a padded rubber bottom which absorbs shock from concrete, making them super comfortable to walk in. I have another pair of Lucky booties and could literally walk in them all day. Once the leather on these Basel booties soften up, I think they'll be the same way. Definitely worth the purchase!

Initially, I bought these in a size 5.5, based on other reviewers posts. But they seemed too big. I ordered the size 5 (I know, baby feet), and I couldn't even get them on. I returned them. The size 5.5s feel slightly too big, but they're very comfortable and I fell in love with them. I want to wear them every day. But I don't. You're welcome :)

I'm typically a 9.5 but decided to size up 1/2 size after reading the reviews. I'm glad I did. The 10 fits perfectly, but does feel a little narrow. I have a feeling the narrowness will go away after I wear the boots a few times and the leather molds to my foot. Love the style. Looks great with tights or jeans.

Runs narrow and a half size small. I am always between a 9.5 and a 10, and these in a 10 are still a little on the small side. The style is exactly what I want, so I have been wearing them around the house for a while to see if the leather will loosen slightly in the toe box area. I love the double zipper detail and the perfect low height of the heel. I just wish they carried wide sizes.
