Love them. However, they felt like they may have been worn a bit already, and the box was damaged. probably a return from someone who tried them for an extended period of time (sole was clean though, but the inside shearling had been “molded” with toes...)

Compared to birkenstock sandals, these run smaller because of the fur lining.

The review is more about Zappos and their oversight. The box the shows came in was broken. And shoes were lightly wrapped in tissue. And one of the shoes was already scuffed. If I had more time to exchange them for a holiday gift, I would have. Feels like they sent a pair that had already been returned. Maybe more than once?

I love these shoes for the winter and I have several pairs in different colors. This particular pair had black dyed shearling on the inside and the black dye comes off on my feet, which stained my white rug. I find this incredibly disappointing. The other problem with this particular pair is that the seam on the inside of the left one is sharp and irritates my foot. This particular pair was definitely not up to Birkenstock’s standards.

Boston's are not necessarily the most stylish shoes, but I love wearing them. The shearling version is so cozy and crazy comfortable. The blue color of these is a true deep navy. I like them more than the traditional Birkenstock brown suede. I have skinny feet and have trouble with various shoes rubbing. I discovered the Birkenstock shearling models when I came across them in our local Birkenstock store last fall. I bought pink Arizonas with pink fleece and wore them comfortably on a lengthy resort vacation. Got many compliments and questions also. Came home and bought another pair in turquoise. Can't wait for summer shoes to be back to get more colors. Love all my shearling shoes!!

The fit was fine--I ordered up a size to allow for shearling lining. But the shoe overall was not comfortable.

Smaller than expected

I really wanted these shoes with the shearling, but my regular size (40) was too small and the next size up was too wide and just didn’t look right. I’m going to try the narrow in the 41 to see how that fits. I have not tried the ones with out the shearling so not sure how the fit is on those.

So I ordered the size 39 and they fit perfect without socks but since I’ll be wearing them in the winter I wanted to wear them with socks so I bought the next size up. They are very comfy and cozy!

The shoes are so cute and in style. But, they are not comfortable. Very stiff and flat feeling.

Slightly larger than needed, but very comfortable around the house, especially looking forward to winter with soft shearling inside. I have a very high arch so I had to add a Dr Scholls insert. Suede looks very nice.

This is a very well made and cozy slipper. It has a nice sturdy sole, so you can easily wear it outside. The fit made my narrow foot feel secure, and my heel didn't slip out like some other backless shoes and slippers.

I have a medium width foot and was hoping that I could make do with the narrow that was available but it was to narrow. Sadly, I am returning the shoe and hoping that medium width are back in stock soon.

Fit was ok. It seemed a little tight, but I am sure that was due to the shearling and would have improved over time like my UUGs. Mainly I just didn't like the color as much as i thought I would. I got the navy because the chocolate color was out. Maybe I will reorder when that one is back in stock.

I saw this on a friend in black and was convinced to buy it because it looked chic and perfect for running errands/walking the dog when the weather is cooler. The first pair of midnight narrows was slightly defective with one shoe rubbing me weird, so I ordered the same thing again and another pair in REGULAR just to compare the fit and comfort. The second narrow pair felt fine with no more rubbing, but there was so hard glue inside the shoe which scratches against your skin. This should really sound like a 3 star shoe, but I love birks and now that I finally have the proper pair with no defects, I am very glad to have them. It's hard to make a furry clog look chic and feel supportive, and they have done that. Thank Goodness for Zappos' customer service and easeful returns or exchanges or I would have given up. NOTE: I can flow between narrow and regular width birks, and I prefer the narrow birks in this style because it looks more chic. The regular width birk has a bigger more obvious toe box.

I am very excited about this pair of Birks because they're so warm and cozy with the shearling. I am giving this pair of shoes 4 stars because for years, I typically wear a 6-6.5/37 Birkenstock sandal/shoe. In fact, I have to make another hole in the straps to turn the normal size into a more narrow one to safely secure them to my feet. So, when I ordered these Boston Shearling Birks, I ordered my typical size in a narrow, and was shocked to find them very short, where my heel hung over the back of the shoe. So, I am exchanging them for a 7-7.5/38 Birk instead. Customer Service was most helpful in orchestrating the exchange for me.

I’m an older Birk wearer. For 50+ years. I’m struggling with these a bit. They are very stiff, but I know the more I wear them, them they’ll “adapt.” I’m moving to a colder state, from Southern California, so these will be my “go to” shoes.

I bought these to use as indoor slippers as I have plantar faciitis. My feet get kind of sweaty in them but they're awesome w/ a pair of socks when it's cold out.

I hope the leather will stretch out a little or the shearling to flatten down. I've always worn size 39 and these feel at least a half size smaller due to the shearling.
