Manduka mats are the best. 4mm is cushy enough while still remaining a light mat. It's heavier than a foam mat, but will last absolutely forever. Mine had a pretty persistent rubber smell, but after a few days it was virtually unnoticeable. It's reliable, durable and very very grippy! It blows my previous mats (Jade and Gaiam foam) out of the water!

I bought this mat about 1 month ago and I am loving it! It has great cushioning and I don't slip.

I've used this mat for a few weeks now and I really love how sticky the top is. I use it in non-heated flow classes and it's great. The colors are beautiful. The only thing I don't like is that the bottom is not very sticky, so the mat can move around a bit.

Super sticky which is what I was looking for. No need to worry about my hands slipping in my downward dog and me doing a face plant. The mat is a little narrow. And it's not as vibrant in color a you see on the web, but that's not a negative.

This is my favorite mat from Manduka. I gave it a lower rating because the color wasn't what I wanted when I purchased it. It's more purple than red and blue. Makes sense, but just disappointed that I wasn't getting what I thought I was getting. Opened it up to see if it was consistently purple, then couldn't return for a different color. Other than the color, it's a great mat! It's sticky/grippy, feels great, and the thickness is perfect. I have tried the Pro mats from Manduka and prefer this mat specifically because of the sticky/grippy nature and my sweaty palms.

Great yoga mat. Hefty, no sliding even with wet hands or very dry hands. Highly recommended. It came with very strong smell. Took a while to dissipate. Also, it is heavy, which is not a problem with me. But it is heavier than other mats.

I've had this mat for a few weeks and the smell of rubber is so strong I haven't wanted to use it I don't even want to be near it, and neither does my partner. It's beautifully made and I purchased it because it is biodegradable and Manduka's May Recycling program. I'm really bummed that it didn't work for me, but it's going back.

I like the feel of it but It is too small for me. My other Manduka is wider and longer. do you have this rubber version in a larger size?

I bought this about 6 months ago, as my first upgrade from the entry-level Target mat. I did lots of research and decided on this one b/c of great reviews. The smell went away after about 2 months, but the horribly bitter taste that is left on my hands (even after washing multiple times) stays for hours after I practice. Also, my Target mat was less slippery than this one, and I am not particularly sweaty. Nice length, though -- I am 5'8" and it's always long enough, love that. If I were rich, I would try another mat, but I'm not so I'm stuck with bitter hands after my asana.

I bought this mat a few months back and the rubber smell still is coming off of the mat. The smell interferes my yoga practice in certain poses when my face is on or close to the mat. It is made well but if I knew the smell would continue after months I would have purchesed their other mat not made of rubber.

This was such a disappointment. I had a Jade which I LOVED because it was so sticky but decided to move on because I was tired of the open cell rubber and wanted something with a smooth surface. I was a little on the fence about the eKO Lite because of the reviews, but I figured I would give it a shot. The quality of the mat is great. The top feels like butter when you're on it. It's so smooth and squishy. However it's also butter in the sense that you will slide everywhere. I just took it to my first class and was slipping everywhere. I couldn't hold a down dog to save my life. It wasn't an overly sweaty class, so this definitely shouldn't have been happening. I think this would be a good mat for someone doing less vigorous classes like a restorative or yin.

I can't get over the smell. I had no idea this was natural rubber when I bought; I'm sure that's my fault for not reading closer. But holy bananas does it REEK. I've washed it twice with dish soap, showered with out, wiped it down with water & vinegar, spray it with essential oils, and aired it out outside, and it smells like a tire. Consequently, any skin that touches it also smells (and tastes) like rubber. I unfortunately cannot handle the smell, and cannot practice with this mat. Really disappointing, as it's beautiful, grips the ground well, and non-slip. A little thin for supine poses, and my head could feel the ground, but the rest of me was fine.

I read a lot of reviews about this mat before purchasing and loved the colour, the eco factor and its non-slip features. I read that there was a rubber smell at first but that it would go away with airing out. I have had the mat for several months and the smell will not go away. I have aired it outside for hours, wiped it down with water and vinegar and nothing works. I have just been away for two weeks and came home to open the door of my yoga room only to be overwhelmed by the strong rubber smell. It is all I can smell in my yoga classes as well. I am very disappointed by this.

I love how this mat originally felt in terms of support! Feels great for how thin it is. Dissapointed by how much I slip though. I'm constantly having to readjust in class and sometimes I just bring my old mat instead. Would return but my puppy chewed a little corner of it off the day I got it lol

I am Very disappointed with this mat. This mat is supposed to be great for hot classes but unfortunately I was slipping all over the place. I even did a class that was not hot but my mat kept scrunching together and would not stay flat. I would definitely go with a different model or brand.

This is my first Manduka mat that I've purchased and I'm honestly a little disappointed since I've heard nothing but great things about Manduka as a company. I'm a little disappointed because the color of the mat is more of a blue rather than green and I've used the mat multiple times now and my hands are constantly slipping. I'm not sure if maybe I need to wash the mat off or what to do? It's not like I'm practicing in heat it's just regular yoga ...
