I've bought other Ryka shoes and I know to order a half size up, so I did on this model. they felt okay on initial try on and walking around bedroom for a couple of minutes. However when I went outside for a walk, the toe box started pressing into my toes, and I am unable to wear these for walking. So, beware that this model may not fit you the way other Ryka models do.

The Ryka Ultimate is very lightweight and provides good cushioning and lateral stability. I have an average width foot and the toe box is a little wide so I rated it a 4 instead of 5. Good looking, comfortable shoe.

Loved the color and the overall feel but this shoe isn't cut low enough for my ankle - the Dash is just cut lower on the sides.

I had never heard of Ryka and was willing to check them out. I have a wide foot and had recently given away a pair of sneakers that claimed to be wide width but in reality were not. I am happy to report that these were indeed cut wider and fit my size 8.5 foot well without any necessary "breaking in."

I bought these shoes in a wide width and they fit great! I would suggest you buy one half size larger than what you normally wear as these are shorter in length than my Asics. The heel of these shoes are wider than a normal shoe also. If you need wide shoes I would recommend these.

I am enjoying this shoe for my aerobic/strength training hour that I do in a class four times a week. I followed the advice given on the comments and ordered a half-size smaller, and it fit great. I did have to get an arch-support insert to put inside the shoes because during my first hour of use, I could tell my arches needed it. But other than that, it has been a very comfortable, light-weight shoe. I have now been wearing Ryka shoes for at least 5 years straight.

These shoes are great for my step class and fit my wide (and flat) feet comfortably. I did add an extra insole for more shock protection with all the jumping and stepping. Wish they came in trendier colors, but I can't be choosy because wide shoes are hard to find. I also have another pair of Rykas that I love.

While I love the fit, the style and the comfort of these sneakers, I'm disappointed by the quality of the insole portion. Every time I take the sneakers off, the upper part of the insole wrinkles up so that I have to reach in and push it back where it belongs. I'm a bit concerned that with this happening every time I wear these sneakers, the insoles won't last long. Otherwise would have given these at least a 4 star rating.

Have worn Ryka for years but having trouble with this model. One shoes feels fine but the left one feels short in the toe box & also bothers the side of my foot. I have my own insoles I wanted to use but its practically impossible to remove the Ryka insoles as the heel is glued in TIGHT. My husband & I both tried & tried & finally,with all our strength,got it out.But then when I put in MY insole that too got stuck from the glue residue in the heel! I even went walking one day with my older Ryka on the left foot & the new,ok feeling one,on the left! Plus the shoes are heavier than I like. Bad choice for me.

Super cute but not very comfortable. My feet slide to the front cramping my toes when walking. Every time I take my foot out of the shoe the padding under my foot slides out. Would not recommend this particular shoe.

I will first say that I LOVE these shoes, so much so I bought the same style after my first pair were worn out. My only complaint is that the memory foam insoles move around after about an hour in these. It's like the glue that should keep them in place heats up and lets them slide around. This was not an issue with my first pair.

After wearing these shoes a couple of times, the memory foam sole felt like it was starting to bunch up. I usually buy a size 11 to allow room for an orthotic. I wore these without orthotics, and they were tight in the toe area and uncomfortable underfoot.

The fit was perfect for what I ordered. The only issue is the insoles were not glued down properly and immediately started to bunch up and shift as I walked. I'm going to try to glue them down myself but this is definately a manufacturing error. You can see the glue they sprayed is only on the heel and just a tiny amount so that's obviously why they came apart.

I first ordered 7M. Could barely get them on, returned and got 7W. Returned because they still felt snug and my big toes were very close to end of shoe. I am waiting for 7 1/2 W to arrive. After that, if not comfy I will give up. I have worn many Ryka shoes, 7M. Something is not right. My other shoes are still 7M. I do love the look of these shoes.

I returned my 7M size for a 7W. I have never worn wide shoes before but I could hardly get the mediums on my foot and they felt horrible. I have tried wearing the 7W twice now and my feet feel a bit scrunched still. Not sure if I will keep them but I love the look of them. May try a 7 1/2 but still not sure. Perhaps in old age my feet have grown wider, but definitely not longer. Someone else wrote that their toe put holes in the top of the shoe, I can see that could happen as my big toes are able to push upwards when walking. I have worn several Ryka shoes, first time having an issue with fit.
