I love an Ugg boot for the winter. They are classy, and so warm. I get to wear winter boots all winter long without having to change shoes when I get to work! That being said, this boot is slightly less warm than others I have had. The wool lining stops for the diameter of the shoe where the zipper sits. That area also ends up feeling a little slouchy. I think this all has to with how it needed to be made to get the zipper in there without the boot getting too bulky. I was surprised that the wool didn't cover the entire inside of the boot, so I just wanted others to know as well.

I am a self-proclaimed bootaholic, and I am not ashamed. Having said that: these are the best boots I have ever owned in my life. They were very easy to get onto my size 10 feet, even without a full-length zipper down the side. They were immediately comfortable without having to be broken in. I was worried about the shaft fitting around my calf because I'm a tiny bit zaftig, aka chunky butted, but it fit perfectly - not too big and not too tight. I ordered them in my true size and they feel like slippers that were knitted by angels out of gossamer. I bought these to go on a whale watching expedition and I wanted to look awesome on a boat that will be pitched around on the open ocean with water gushing in, so naturally needed something waterproof as well as good looking - this fits the bill PERFECTLY. I will also be wearing them in the snow when I go to London, so the tread was important too. The sole looks like it will be up to par, with it's thick rubbery tread. I totally love these boots!

I have been looking for riding boots for years, but could never find anything that "looked like me"...until these! I absolutely love them. They fit like a dream, are warm, comfy and best of all, weatherproof! I was a little unsure of what size to order, as the sizing chart put me in between an 8.5 and 9, but I ended up trying the 8.5 and they're perfect. I am able to wear a thick sock and I still have room. I don't have trouble getting them on, but find it does require a bit of pull to get them off. They are worth the extra effort though. If you are undecided, go for it. They are great looking, classic boots and worth every penny!

I love these boots. They are comfortable and warm. Unlike other reviewers, I have had no problem with the zipper and they are more than roomy in the calf. I wear a size 9 and that is what I ordered. If anything, the calf is loose on me, but still a great boot.

The boots are so comfortable once on that I decided to keep them even though it takes a while to get them on. I use a shoe horn through the zipper to expedite getting the boot on.

I really liked the styling of this boot, but sad that I have to return it. The ankle is too soft to support a clean, unwrinkled look, and digs in with discomfort. The half zipper is also not ideal for a boot such as this. Love Zappos, but disappointed with this particular UGG model.

These are great boots. They seem to run true to size and have a medium width. I have average-small calves and these fit perfectly with a pair of skinny jeans. There is not much extra room so these could be challenging if your calves are on the larger size. They keep my feet and legs nice and warm without sweating. I have also worn thin dress socks every time that I have worn them. I love that they are weather proof but look very stylish.

I have a pair, and a dear friend liked them so much that I splurged and bought her a pair for her birthday! These are great. They fit true to size, order 1/2 size up if you want to wear them with thick socks. They look terrific, but do hold up to rain and water (and puppies who live to jump into the pool...) They are soft inside with shearling on the legs but not by the foot part, they are warm, but not 'sweaty hot". Amazing style, quality and fashion in a useful rain boot. Go ahead, El nino, bring it on!

I have worn these for a year now and they hold up well. Keep my feet dry when sludging through slush and puddles. They are really not very warm, though. I am thinking since they run a little large I will try putting some Ugg replacement sheepskin insoles in and see if they will be a little more cozy. I am also not loving the way the shaft works its way down and slouches around the ankle.

I ordered one style and had to return them (bless you Zappo's)...reordered this boot and it was everything I wanted. I learned through my mistake to look at the circumference of calf size. This book is perfect for any style-casual or dress. It fit easily and did not give me any "new shoe" problems at all. Comfortable, warm and stylish. Perfect.

I absolutely love these boots. I received them as a birthday gift today. I wore them shopping all day and at Silver Dollar City all evening. My feet always ache when I am one my feet all day and today they do not hurt at all! I usually also have problem when tall boots fitting my calves and theses fit perfect. They also fit true to size. These are my favorite Ugg boots so far and I have four other styles.

So, I ordered these boots 2 days a go and they were just delivered. They should've been delivered yesterday since it was next day delivery but no worries! Shipping was free so it's not a big deal. I'm really happy with the boots--Great quality and they feel very comfortable on my feet (though I haven't worn them outside yet). I wear an 8.5 but I ordered a 9 because other reviewers said that they had problems getting them on because of the short side zipper and I am glad I listened to them! The 9 fits perfectly so I am sure the 8.5 would've been a problem. Overall, I am very satisfied for now and I am happy I purchased them.

I love the warmth and fit of these boots. I wore them to a cold fall football game and my feet were comfortable! In terms of fit, I do have thin ankles and calves so I had no problem with fit, however I do understand the reviews that say you may have difficulty getting your foot into the boot with a wider ankle (small side zipper).

I have had these boots for a year now, and when I put them on this week I still loved them. I like a classic look, and I am happy with the style of this boot versus the chunkier boot that teens are wearing. Since I live in the south, I did not want a fully-lined boot that would make my feet sweat. These boots are just enough; if I need more warmth, I add a thicker sock. Our winters are also very rainy, so I love that they are waterproof. That was a huge selling point for me. My daughter does not wear her Uggs when it rains despite our weatherproofing of them; she is afraid that she will ruin them. I do not have that problem! I bought these boots to keep my feet warm at football games, but I have found myself wearing them a lot more than I anticipated, and I really wish that I also had them in black.

I LOVE these boots! After moving from the Southern US to the Northern US, I was looking for a stylish yet warm and weather-resistant pair of boots. I already have some great snow boots and rainboots, but I needed some day-to-day fashion boots. These boots keep my feet warm -- in fact, if it's 50 degrees out, my feet are TOO warm (this is a great problem to have, in my opinion!). They are very cute, comfortable for a day on my feet at the mall, and flattering on my large feet. I highly recommend these boots.

Absolutely LOVE these; true to size, more stylish look, not the bulkier Ugg look, which I don't care for. Very comfortable. Considering getting them in brown as well.

I wanted a winter boot with style! These were really perfect and still warm and protected me from the elements. Actually, I wore them out on a day it was in the 40s and they were too warm! Love them!

These boots are seriously awesome. They look great and feel great. They are stylish enough to wear with skinny jeans and comfortable enough to wear all day. The lining is very warm but didn't make my legs sweat. This was my first Ugg purchase and I am very happy with these boots.

I have worn these boots almost every day since I received them. They are warm and look great with jeans and skirts! They have kept my feet toasty and dry in slushy rain and snow.

I am very happy with the Ugg Thomsen boots! Typically, I wear a size 9 in heels and everyday shoes, but I usually size up a half in my boots, so I was excited to see that Ugg offered this in a size 9 1/2! I am 5' 7" and my calf size is 14" around, so these boots fit great with a little extra room to wear boot socks and boot cuffs (although the boot cuffs make my calves look too plump in these because of the lining and calf size). No breaking in required! Extremely comfortable for work and play! True to color. Have had mine for about a month and a half and quality/craftsmanship is beautiful! Will last for many years, good blend of casual and dressy. Enjoy!

This is a great boot! Everything I would expect from UGG. However, they weren't as tall on me as I wanted, so will send them back. Had no trouble with the half zip like other reviewers did. Zappos shipping can't be beat!

I love these boots! They are warm, stylish and fit true to size. They are a bit difficult to get on because the zipper doesn't run the whole way up the boot, but besides that I love them. I have narrow feet and small calves so I think that makes the fit better.

I love the Thomsen boot! Winters in Chicago can be brutal, but I don't like to compromise style because of it. These boots are a perfect juxtaposition of warmth, comfort, and style. I was worried that the calf area might be too small after reading other reviews. I have muscular legs, but the boots fit great with my skinny jean wardrobe with a bit of wiggle room to spare. They aren't extremely warm like the classic Uggs, but it helps that they are entirely lined with wool. I would agree that the half zipper makes it a bit tricky when putting them on and off, but it's not terrible. I am overall very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend! Great boot!

These boots are very warm, and they'll keep my feet warm during the winter time. In the picture they looked stiff, but they are not. With the use they'll bend with that natural movement of the leg and foot. The leather at the bottom part is matte, the only the shine is on the tip of the boot, that is darker (almost back) than the rest of the leather.
