Decent boot for cold weather but the bottom of the boot didn't feel stable enough for me. Also, I needed a full size bigger than I thought. Stylish Boot though.

I have a high arch. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual. I could not get this boot on my foot.

I ordered these for my husband who usually wears a 10.5. We tried the 11 to accommodate for the thicker socks that he would be wearing on our ski trip to CO. The 11 was too small, so we exchanged for the 11.5. He was ultimately happy with the size, warmth, and comfort.

I bought these I think in November, by early March they were toast. The seams are falling apart and the tread is worn down to almost nothing. I was really excited about these boots because they have a lot of great features that I look for when buying a winter boot. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because they are by far the warmest winter boot I've used I've ever used.

Wish I could recommend this boot because it looks and feels really well designed.... except in the toe box. I went through three different sizes, including 1 1/2 sizes higher than my normal size, and the toe area was STILL pressing down across the top of my foot. Meanwhile, now it was too long overall. Just really poorly shaped.

I'm typically a 12 in most shoes/boots. Sometimes, I need to order a 13, depending on brand. I ordered these in 12, 13, and 14...looked like a quality boot, so I kept trying to get it in my size. Believe it or not, even 14 was too small. Definitely runs small. A lot.

SIZES RUN VERY SMALL! I wear a size 13 in every single brand of shoe or boot I've ever tried. My wife bought me a air of these in a size 13 for Christmas and I could barely get my foot in the boot. I swapped for a pair of size 14s and they were still WAY too small. Seems like it would be a good boot for someone with narrow feet if you order it 2 sizes too big!

Got all the features I was looking for, even the metal eyelet lace holes (not those stupid fabric ones that wear out quick). Ordered off line, when they arrived, first fitting seemed small (got the 14's, my foot measures 11"). Lots of insulation in them, hoping that wearing them around the house will help. At this time, there is no chance of getting a thick socked foot in there, just your basic white sock. Hate to return them and buy from another brand. My previous TNF winter boots were size 14, so hoping it's the great insulation that makes them tight.

I bought three pairs of these boots, for myself and my two sons. All three cracked at the rubber and pulled away from the leather. Unbelievable. We own many North Face products and usually very good. Never buy their footwear.

These boots look great, but the material's are defective. The rubber on the toe gets brittle in a short time and cracks. Check the internet. There are hundreds of reviews like this. I just called Northface and was told that the warranty is only 1 year.

These boots are comfortable but they're horrible quality. I live in the South (where we don't get much snow), and yet wearing these boots a few times a year caused the rubber to crack in half. The tread on the bottom still looks brand new, but the boots are ruined and unwearable. You'll see the "Lifetime Guarantee" in large letters on the description of the boots, but that is a lie- if you read the fine print, North Face only guarantees their footwear for one year, so you're completely out of luck when your like-new boots rip in half a few years down the road. Don't be deceived by TNF's deceitful advertising practices.

Wore these shoes to Tahoe twice. The rubber by the toes cracked and ripped off from the leather. Does not seem to live up to Northface standards

I've had a lot of boots in my life but I have never come across a pair of boots that were so wrong in fit. I normally wear 11.5 but in this case, I picked the 12.5s. Wow, I can not get my feet into them without significant discomfort. It's as if they made the shoe for the target size and THEN added the insulation, they are that far off. So far off. So disappointed. Based on the 12.5 being so small, I'm guessing that I need the size 14.

unsatisfied and frustrated...size 10 in store with heavy socks was only slightly tight so I figured 10.5, maybe 11 at most would be perfect. NOT! I could barely cramp my bare foot into this brick-hard 10.5. I'll buy a different boot from a store so that I can be assured of fit. Thanks anyway, Zappos.

Totally mis-sized. Based on other reviews I ordered an 11 1/2 instead of my normal size 10 and they were still too small. It's a shame, because these have been top rated by a review site I rely on, and they look as warm and sturdy as I'd hoped, but I can't wear them, and don't want to go through the process of buying and returning successively-larger pairs, like Goldilocks. Back they go, no replacement requested. Definitely not a boot to order online unless North Face figures out how to size its products.

At first, I was soooo happy with these comfy, tough looking boots! I felt like I was ready to take on winter :) Sadly, after only 2 months of wear the rubber bottom part cracked open on top of the toe! Not along a seam or anything (as I one might suspect can occur with stress), it literally just flopped open one day as I was walking into my office. I know TWO other people that experienced the same thing. With this number of incidents, it can't be just by chance, thus, I believe it reflects poor quality. So disappointing.

I purchased a pair of men's Chilkat 400 boots after reading the reviews. I ordered a pair that was one full size larger than I wear; upshot; Cost: fair, Shipping: free, Delivery: fast, 'I Can't get my feet in them': priceless. Living in the Colorado Rockies, I needed a new pair of winter boots. I don't design shoes or boots for a living, but in my case, this appears to be more than a size issue. I returned them and bought a pair of comparable Sorrels. There is no selection / discussion on width, and it isn't addressed in the specifications. I would recommend them to a friend, but with a 'size / width' caution.

These are horrible. I have size 10½ and ordered 12 just in case they will not fit. With these boots to fit I would probably need size 15! Stay away. Shame on you North Face, shame!

I'm currently on my 3rd return for this item. I usually wear a size 10.5 and originally ordered an 11 to allow for thick socks etc. I could barely even get them on they were so small so I sent them back. The 12s I could at least fit on my feet but they were so tight that I needed help getting out of them. I'm currently waiting on my 13.5s to arrive and hoping they will fit. If you order these I would order 3 sizes too big, yes 3 sizes. This almost seems like some sort of manufacturer screw up to me given similar reviews on this site for the same boots.

Very surprised when I ordered this boot a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and the fit was not even close, I can't even guess at how much these boots are undersized on both width and length. I sent back and am trying a different brand. Support at Zappos has been terrific, or I would just altogether punt and go to a big box store.

Be extremely careful. The sizing is absolutely incorrect - running one to two sizes small. I ordered one size larger than normal and the boot was very tight. I have had my feet a long time and know the proper size - I could not even stand in the size 14.
