Like the others who have commented, I ordered one and a half sizes larger than usual, but one boot is still too small. Returning and ordering an even bigger size. I will not be defeated!

Decent boot, too warm for 40-50 degree weather. It is a tall boot, a little stiff in the ankle, may require some breaking in. They feel like they will be good in the snow.

These are pretty good boots. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that say it is a half size too small. However after I have worn them for a while now, they don't seem too bad. It seems that after you 'break them in' they fit better.

Good boot, hard to fit over most jeans. The padding /insulation is very slick. your heel will have a tendency to slide up. The insulating is so thick in the boot your toes may have a hard time moving. I recommend medium weight socks.

These boots are well made. My feet stay warm but they do not sweat. They have a supportive ankle, are easy on/off, work well with snow shoes, and are comfortable to wear. The shoe laces are not as long as you would except them to be (almost too short), I bought a size 10½, the left boot fit perfectly and the right did not. I then purchased an 11½; the left foot now has extra room for thick socks. The right boot felt okay, so I put my hand into both of them. I believe the problem is the insulation at the toe; the seam is short, I felt space between the insulation and the end of the boot therefore causing a snug feel. After wearing them for a day the right boot loosened up and now feels great. Go for at least one size larger!

This boot fits like a ski boot. It hugs tightly from all sides and it takes a lot of effort to squeeze into. I had to get something two full sizes larger than normal, and two sizes larger than North Face recommended before it did not feel too short. When I got something just one size larger than normal it was still so tight that my feet started to feel like they might even become a bit numb from the pressure. The boot itself looks good, looks well made. But it is unusual in terms of fit.

After reading all the comments about the sizing being off, I decided to order a full size larger than my usual size. Well... that wasn't enough, so I returned them and ordered 2 full sizes larger than my normal size. I am an 11D exactly on the brannock device, but needed a 13 in these boots. Now that I have a pair that fits, it is clear that they are really well made, and really sharp looking. I would give them 5 stars, but being off by 2 full sizes is a little irritating. Zappos is awesome as always!

I have a wide foot for a woman so frequently order mens boots. I typically wear a 8.5 in womens so ordered a 7.5 in the mens, a half size larger than usual. This show was at least a full size too small! I'd recommend ordering a full size larger if not a size and a half. It was a great boot and I like the styling...too bad it didn't fit. Not even close.

I ordered these boots in my size for about every other shoe in the world. A size 12. Got the boots and they were too small. Tried to reorder larger size 13 of 14 but we're sold out everywhere. I'm bummed because I was really excited to get them but ended up with nothing but a credit minus shipping back.

Boots kept me super warm and stylish at the same time. Size is an issue like other reviews. Make sure to get a size up.

The sizes run very small. Normally I would take a size 9.5 or 10. Ended up with 11.5 as my final pair. Ordered all pairs online and had no issues returning to the store. Excellent customer service.

My only complaint is that it runs small. I have a 10.5 I wear a 10. The 11 is too big I thought the 10.5 would be just right but it's the same fit as the 10. Overall it is a great purchase.

Awesome boots ! I did have to go up 2 sizes to get the right fit. They run small everywhere but once I got the right fit they were awesome. I had to walk to work last night because right now here in Montana every thing is frozen up ! Except me and with the other North Face products I use here in the frozen north. I stayed nice and warm, feet nice and toasty. I have been using The North Face products since the early 80's and will continue using them and I tell all my friends to do the same. Thank guys for helping an old man stay warm !!

Have been breaking the boot in for about 2 weeks now, very comfortable and packed full of insulation for the upcoming cold winter days. Not a boot designed for long day hikes as there are better options available from NF, but for low to mid level activities like ice fishing, winter camping, snowshoeing etc., or just getting around town this boot will excel. Doesn't get 5 stars as the sizing does run small, I'm an 11.5 shoe and wear the 12.5 boot due to large quantity of insulation and room for a decent sock. Do yourself a favour and try it on in store if you can. If you dont have the chance, go at minimum a full size up maybe 1.5 sizes if you live in a particularily cold area of the country to allow for thick socks. I believe the insulation is good to about - 40C. Cheers.

Loved how it fit, very warm. BUT my god it had NO traction at all. If you walk on concrete or asphalt all day, buy it. Anything else you will find extremely slick.

Once these boots got wet on the inside I cannot keep them dry. Must be because it holds in the heat which causes feet to get really hot and sweat I can't take these boots off in public now because it will stink up the room. These are the only footwear I have ever had this problem with Other than the smell these boots are great but will stink up the place...

I want to love these boots but I can't. Went through 3 sizes because reviewers (correctly) said it ran small... I ordered a size and a half larger than my usual size and, while the toe is plenty long, the toe box is short and compact. Just super uncomfortable. Shame, they feel warm and solid.

Firstly, let me say I really wanted to love this boot. I need a pair of boots that will keep my feet warm in very cold environments. This is not that boot. I wear a size 8.5 shoe, D width. Based on reviews, I ordered a full size larger (9.5). Sadly, they are way too tight, even with a light weight dress sock! There's no way any other sock will fit. After cramming my feet into these boots, they instantly hurt. They are squeezed tight on the sides, and feel a bit short as well. Wearing them for less than 30 minutes, in my warm house, my feet were cold (because of the pressure) and in pain. As far as the physical appearance, they are a good looking boot. But I was expecting them to be very large in order to accommodate the amount of insulation. That is not the case. I think the designers of this boot made the outside to size, then filled the inside with insulation, reducing the available space for your foot, thus the tight fit. I'm not paying $150 for an uncomfortable boot, no matter how good they look. I am not going to try a size 10, I'm just returning them.
