I LOVE this shoe! This shoe got me through TONS of walking while I was in Europe, especially with all the uneven walking. As much as I love this shoe, it has its quirks. The comfort and style of the shoes outweigh everything. I thought they were going to discontinue this style but they made some tweaks. The magnet color is more of a medium-dark gray (hard to tell from the picture). Things a person should know: 1) They are still difficult to get on. It will get easier when you break them in. I definitely recommend a shoe horn. The last pair I had before the upgrade, the elastic end up breaking. I'm hoping this version will last longer. 2) I think they tried to improve the tightness of getting them on so they gape a tiny bit on the sides when walking. I don't think it's noticeable and it's not causing me any problems. I ordered a half size up to see if it would help with getting them on easier. It didn't make much of a difference and it made the gaping problem significantly worse. 3)They improved the insole of the shoe so it has better arch support. Keen shoes seemed to be really going downhill the last couple of years with the quality of support. I think they realized they were losing business. People love Keen shoes because they are comfortable and have a unique style. I am really hoping this is a sign that they will be working on improving the rest of their styles.

I have a number of problems related to flat feet (bunions, tendinitis in 2-3rd toe joints, pain in the side of my feet and ankles.) Finding truly comfortable shoes is rare and wonderful, but necessary. I've worn these for about 5-6 years, comfortably. Last year my foot pain escalated, to the point where I could no longer delay surgery, and meanwhile, NO walking without orthotics. Imagine my delight when I discovered that the footbed is removable to accommodate a custom orthotic! It had never occurred to me to try. I have always supplemented with OTC arch supports in addition to the Keen footbed (which is nice, but I need serious engineering just to walk comfortably.) I require a shoe that comes up high on the instep so it will stay on without making my toes grip too much while I walk. This shoe fits perfectly, stays on with no wiggling, and the back of the heel hasn't even broken down from 5 years of slipping them on and off. For an orthopedic-type shoe, these are quite cute and they look good with jeans. They're waterproof and great for all-day everyday wear in my life as a SAHM with frequent dog walks. They don't exaggerate my large (size 10) feet. They don't gap around the ankles, and they don't rub on my incision from previous bunion surgery. The sole is moderately flexible and provides a ton of lateral support. No twisted ankles! I need a firm and thick sole with as little flex as possible, and this shoe is a good compromise. It's light and comfortable, and the soles are thick enough to please my podiatrist and PT. I alternate with clogs or Dansko sandals with a rocker bottom. I searched everywhere for replacements last year but couldn't find them. I am THRILLED to see this style back in stock, and I will buy another pair just as soon as I decide on the color. The soles on mine are still functional, but the tread is almost worn off and I need as much support as I can get. I'm currently recovering from surgery on the right foot, and will do the left in a few months. I will be wearing only one shoe for most of this year, but at least it will balance out the tread wear. Meanwhile, I'm knee-scootering around in my Keens and the non-surgical foot is staying comfortable and stylish enough that I get compliments on them. Keep in mind that I live in Seattle and I'm almost 50, so your results may vary--but among my people, this counts as a "cute" shoe!

Absolutely LOVE these shoes, however they are very tight over the vamp (top of foot closest to leg). Try as I might, I couldn't "break them in" by wearing them in my house. With regret, I am returning them...

My feet are wide and these shoes are perfect for me! Others mentioned swimming in the toe box, which I can understand, but it is the most comfortable toe box my toes have ever been in. They were true to size for me.

I bought these shoes with high hopes -- the looked big and wide for my high arch and wide toe but and I loved the blood red color that looked like liver! Unfortunately when I got these, I could barely squeeze my toes in the shoe and they were pressing on top of my foot and I'm going to have to send them back. This shoe, although it looks big, really isn't and isn't made for anyone with a high arch or wide toe bed. I own 4 pairs of Keens and these shoes are definitely on the small side, despite the bulky look they present in the photographs.

I ordered my regular size of 8.5 B-width. These have a wide toe area and wide heal area, so they slipped around something awful on my feet. I put on a pair of thicker boot socks, and that helped, but they were still sliding around, so I returned them. Fast forward a year and I decided to give them another try, but they were even wider than the original pair. I'm not sure what possessed me, but I sent the second pair back and reordered a third pair in the same size and the third time was the charm. While they are a little on the wide side, with a thicker pair of socks these seem to fit better, which wasn't the case with the other two pair. I have flat arches/PF and these are very comfortable. It's not easy finding shoes that either have the support built into them or if they don't, have removeable foot beds. This shoe has both - a removable foot bed AND lots of arch support. I'm very happy to finally get a pair that works for me. They also look like they'll last a long time - the soles look like I might get 60K out of them, lol, and the leather uppers are substantial. Fortunately the insole is replaceable because I think that will wear out long before the rest of the shoe will!

I’ve been a midwife for almost nine years. These shoes have stories to tell. I had this exact same pair of shoes at my first ever midwife job. They were ruined during an emergency c-section for a prolapsed cord. Nothing really says “welcome to midwifery” like a cord prolapse, during the evening hours at a small community hospital. Needless to say, it was handled, all was well, but my shoes could no longer be worn. I was a little nervous to buy another pair of the same shoe, but after a year of trying others I knew I needed to buy another pair. Nothing I tried was comfortable enough for the long hours of the day and night that one sees when they’re a midwife. So, I bought these. Thankfully no harrowing tales of crash c-sections to be told for this pair. No, this pair was like a steady workhorse. Worn day in and day out for quite possibly six years now.... they’ve seen the peak of joy, and the bottom of sorrow. They’ve seen new life breathe. They’ve seen blood spill. But they finally reached their max. They could hold out no longer, and the other day I literally wore a hole in the bottom of one shoe while working tirelessly. So, they’ve been retired. Somehow I can’t throw them away. Do people still bronze shoes? At least another pair is coming my way,

I wear Keens a lot and love how they accommodate wider feet. These, however, I had to try three sizes before I found the right one. They were half a size too big, so the 9.5 worked, even though I measure an exact 10 W. Goldilocks finally found her shoe!

I've had my Kaci's for a few years now and in the winter I love them. They are really convenient slip on shoes that work well with jeans. I don't know if they are specifically rated as waterproof, but they've kept my feet warm and dry through 2 New England winters. They're fantastic for casual wear, running around town, especially if there is snow and ice on the ground but you don't want to haul out the big heavy snow boots. I find that they fit true to size, with a big toe box, which pairs great with thick socks. They have decent arch support too.

Fit true to size with nice wide footbed and toe box. I wear 8.5 to 9..ordered 9..fit perfect. I have wide forefoot and narrow heel. Heel of shoe does not slip off which is nice. Like the leather look. Own several pairs...they have stood up to much travel, mild hiking, hundreds of miles walking... and thousands of standing hours. I did switch out insole for one with higher arch ...i have plantar fasciitis.... room in shoe for the insert without issue. These are now the only shoes i wear.

Crossed my fingers that this would be a good choice, and it was. As other reviewers have noted, it takes some work to get the shoe on. But once it’s on, it feels great. The toe box is plenty wide for me, and I prefer W in shoe sizing. Yes, the band over the top feels tighter than the rest of the shoe, but this isn’t problematic. I have found in the last few years that previously reliable and consistent keen sizing had become unpredictable. This shoe delivered what I had come to expect in terms of both size and quality. Very comfortable. The color “magnet” is medium gray.

I love them! Purchased these as s work shoe because I have bunions and plantar fasciitis. First I ordered 8.5 which is my usual size but my feet skipped in and out too easily. Size 8 fit perfectly. No need to break them in they were perfect from the beginning.

I saw these shoes on someone and wanted them. She told me they were so comfortable and she was on her feet a lot. I have a varied lifestyle...I live in the country, raise chickens, out in the vineyard, and I have client meetings in the city which I usually stop at the feed store on the way home. These shoes provide me an all around shoe for the winter. They went through a flood with me last year and tons of rain without developing that old look so quickly. I have to order another pair for this winter because I want another color...otherwise last years are just great. They can be a little difficult to get on with heavy socks, but I haven't broken any nails in the process. Love these shoes just as much as the women I saw wearing them.

I am a loyal Dansko shoe fanatic and its very hard for me to find comfortable slip on's but this shoe fit the bill. I can wear these all day with no problem. There is plenty of room in the toe area and its great to travel when walking through the airport. The size and width were spot on. Love this shoe when not wearing Dansko's.

Supportive, stable, nice design and details. This shoe wears like a clog with less bend in the sole and a looser heel that slides when I walk. High quality workmanship like all Keen. These shoes would work well for standing all day at work but not as well for long walks because of the heel slipping. They were almost but not quite wide enough for me. Sadly, I am returning them.

My "go to" everyday shoe. I was so happy to see they are available again as my first pair are over 6 years old and the soles have finally worn down. I do replace the lining with "arch molds" for great arch support.

These shoes are clunky and more roomy than my other Keen's. I thought I could wear them for indoor slippers but they are really heavy and not easy to slip on. So I ordered a pair of Keen Howser slippers instead. these would be good for walking, perhaps, but I already have three pairs of Keen hikers and walking shoes. So...these are going back. I normally wear a 38 or an 8 and that's what I ordered in these. I would need really thick socks for them to fit correctly.

Well, this has to be a mixed review. The shoe is a little long, so I marked it half size larger. It is very tight across the instep, so I marked it narrower, though the toe box is somewhat roomier than usual. Arch support seems okay, but I also use built up orthotics, so I can't tell about the shoe. The left shoe is tighter than the right, which is odd because my left foot is smaller than the right. But in this case this is a good thing because the shoe fits that foot better than most. The big issues are, as others have noted, that the opening is small and makes it hard to get the foot in the shoe and it is really very tight across the instep, making it quite uncomfortable, at first. As others have said, thin socks and a shoehorn help a lot. I read reviews that say it stretches. It does, and quickly. It does need a break in period, but it softens and molds to the foot within a few days of wearing. I still have one very tight area, in an unusual part of the instep on the left foot, and I may get that stretched. Altogether, once broken in, this shoe is quite comfortable. The sole is firm yet flexible, and the tight fit through the instep and around the top of the foot make my foot as stable as in a lace up. The leather, I bought black, is beautiful and the shoe is nicer looking than sneaks, so I can wear it more places. I'm not wild about the styling. I think the strap across the top of the shoe is unnecessary and reminds me of shoes I wore in the '70s. I can't exactly say that I love them, but I'm keeping them because they are comfortable enough, nice looking enough, and Keen quality, so I believe they will last for a long time. I should also say that I have an extremely hard time finding shoes because of my narrow heel and wide ball, and the fact that I use built up orthotics. Keen is the best brand for my feet, especially if they run a little wide. I ordered my usual size, 7.5 and it fits, with a little extra toe room at the tip. And considering that I tried on about six other shoes before this one, I am very grateful to Zappos for their fast service in shipping and returning (I have a VIP account), and to their customer service department for helping me handle the exchanges. For someone like me with difficult feet, Zappos has been an absolute godsend.

love Keen Sandals, Mary Janes and the lace up shoes but this shoe I could not even get my foot in to walk around. They are super cute but found it impossible to put on. Once on they felt really tight and stiff.

Oh, these shoes are so cute and I wanted to love them. Unfortunately, the opening to put my foot in is WAY too small and tight. I finally got my foot in—after a painful struggle—and the top across my foot is just way too tight. I can’t bear to wear them. And I wouldn’t even want to struggle to get them on every day anyway. They hurt! I have a slightly high arch, but this is ridiculous. I must return. Too bad, because they are a cute, cute shoe.

Love these shoes! Great room in the toe box, I can wiggle my toes. I had to use a shoe horn to slip them on, but after they are broken in I believe I'll be able to slip them on easily. I have a very high arch and the support in these shoes are perfect. If I need more support in the future the insoles come out and I can and an arch support. The insoles are very cushy as they are, and I have to have comfort. I found it in these Keens!
