These aren't the cutest shoes I've ever owned, but they are practical. Comfortable, with lots of room for the toes. I'm not sure about the support. I may get an extra insole. So why do I rate these so high? Because, like workhorses, they do what I want -- walking long distances comfortable -- and I can use thicker socks in them when the weather gets cold. That said, they really are cute too.

These are quite comfortable. The leather is lovely and soft, with a slightly brushed or micro-suede texture. The sole is not stiff, but very bendable, so the shoe is not at all clunky. A more cushioned insole would probably help if you plan to be on your feet all day. Also, I found them a little tight over the instep, but I think the leather will stretch out enough as I wear them more. Good toe-room. The buckle is functional, not just decorative and fixed.

Great fit, very light and comfortable. Could wear a long time right away. Recommend.

I look for a shoe that is good for work (hospital) and can be worn also with jeans. These shoes are perfect for both. Incredibly comfortable. Works great with my scrubs and works great with my boot jeans. Highly recommend.

This shoe is amazingly comfortable. I needed a good black shoe for catering, long shifts in my feet. They feel like I'm wearing slippers but with more support. I don't know how stylish I think they are and they're not truly black, more off black. I'm thinking about taking some black polish to them. I've never been a fan of the ballet flat. I think this is a great altenative to that style.

LOVE these shoes! There is no "break in" period. Comfortable the first time I put them on. Plenty of room in the toes, pretty light, stylish. Great shoes for pants.

Very cute and comfortable shoe. I am not sure how much of a walking shoe they would be however they will make great airplane shoes/camp shoes for travel.

Perfect slip on. I was looking for just this type of shoe - a slip on with adjust-ability. I have a low arch which makes it difficult for wearing slip on shoes. These work and look good too.

First I have to say, I love Merrell's. That being said I really love these shoes. Comfortable, light weight, great support, and I can wear them all day without foot fatigue. What could be better?! I wear a 6 and these are a true 6. Perfect in every way!

Good shoe! Being from the snowy Midwest, I am always looking for shoes with some tread on the bottom because I dislike the hassle of wearing boots just for the purpose of running across the parking lot at work. Not only are these shoes cute, but they can actually get you across slippery pavement with ease. They almost feel like they are gripping the pavement. Yet they are terrific on carpet & tile as well. And comfortable. Yep, I love these. Wish Merrell would make a wide width as I could use a tad more room. As for Zappos service, I don't get shoes anywhere else. Zappos rocks!

These are the most comfortable shoes that I own! I wear them as a casual shoe and are also perfect with twill or corduroy pants for work. I teach and these allow me to be on my feet all day with no problem at all. I have a bunion and plantar fasciitis so it is rare to find shoes that work for me. This is that pair of shoes! I bought a 1/2 size larger and can add a small arch support when I want.

Love these shoes! Size was a true 9 for me. Fit perfectly. So cute for just kicking around town and they look great with jeans. Merrell is a quality brand. They are a little pricey, but worth the money. They last for years.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and am always looking for shoes that I can wear in a business casual office. These fit the bill nicely.

Cute shoes. Thought I'd try them instead of my usual Keen Kaci but I'm returning them because the inside liner doesn't let you slip them on easily with socks. Also no arch support but good toe box & snug enough at the heal. Giving 5 star because a new insert might be slippery enough & add more support to make me keep them.

I was worried at first because these shoes were stiff and not comfortable. After a week of wear they have softened up and are great for long walks and for walking on slippery surfaces here in Minnesota during winter.

I usually order 1/2 size down in Merrell, but in this shoe I needed my regular size. Very cute on, and stays on with no heel lift. Not much support, but overall a good fall/winter shoe.

You know that proverbial phrase "Fits like a glove?" Well that describes these babies to a T! Ergonomic design mimics Crocs, but made out of lightweight, supple leather. Plenty of room in toe box, while back comfortably hugs your ankle. I usually wear a size 8.5 wide, but always wear a 9M in Merrell shoes. PS - I wear these with light socks.

So lightweight and comfortable - I am on my feet 10 hours a day and from day one these are infinitely wearable. Love them. Just the right size for medium (or larger) width. These would be too wide for a narrow foot. Cute two-tone!

Love these shoes! They are very comfortable - lots of room for toes. Easy to slip on, but still feel very solid when on. Line across the top makes them look smaller, too. They are waterproof from what I've seen before (have worn in rain and heavy dew). Would have rated 5 stars on comfort, but arch support is minimal. That hasn't bothered me so far, but worth noting.

This shoes are comfortable, flexible, have good support and traction, and do not require any break-in time. Their sneaker-like comfort allows a person to wear these all day without any problems! These are high quality shoes!

Well, I took a big chance and took these on vacation the day after receiving them to be used as my main walking shoes. I can report they were super comfortable and very lightweight. I bought them to replace a pair of Merrell Jungle Mocs that I had literally worn out. My Jungle Mocs were a size 8 and I got a 7.5 in these. They were a perfect fit. I wish they had some arch support but they have none. Still, I am very pleased. They are much sharper and dressier than the Jungle Mocs.

I love my Dassie mary janes. I wore them out! So, as fall approaches and I need to wear a shoe with socks, I thought these would be perfect. Sadly, they are just a little too tight on my wide feet. The mary jane does not bother me at all, but these, with their expanse of leather across the top of the foot, do not have as much give. I'm on my feet all day at work, so they need to have lots of room. Cuter-than-expected in real life.

style, overall construction all appear to be good with one big exception: the hard rubber band added at toe area -- uncomfortable if any toes are sensitive to pressure

I bought these hoping for comfortable shoes to walk to work in. They are very comfortable with plenty of toe space. The color is a rich dark brown. The style is not super attractive to me compared to the picture but the comfort wins the day.
