This shoe is lightweight, attractive, and is comfortable except for the high "tongue;" it rubbed uncomfortably across the front of my ankles. As suggested in reviews, I sized up by half a size and they fit my feet well.

These shoes are great! I wore them all winter! They are a bit loose around the heel, but you get used to it. Kinda like a clog, but with a back. Very comfortable and they kept my feet warm!

I love these shoes. I needed a snow clog and used to have a Merrell one years ago. I like this new pair even more. Very comfortable, easily to slide on - really perfect for me! Highly recommend!!

I love theses shoes! They are super warm and waterproof. Stiff soles, good support, and perfect for walking in cold weather.

I love merrell shoes and was trying to replace a really old pair with a newer pair/look. I came across these and they looked really nice and saw they got good reviews. I ordered them in 2 different sizes my usual size 5.5 and a 6. I kept these for a few days and would try on both sizes and finally decided that the 6 was a good fit. I am always afraid to make quick decisions when buying shoes so I took my time and finally decided that these were the right shoes. Well, they turned out to be my "go to" shoes since they are soooooo comfortable and they have a this sort of fuzzy lining inside - not real thick but just enough to make them cozy. They are warm and love that they are waterproof in the snow. that was important to me since I don't always want to wear boots but yet there is a little snow or rain and need a show that will not get soaked. The color is so nice - it's like a gray-charcoal color and looks great with grey, black and of course regular blue jeans. I love the traction on them since I can walk on gravel or surfaces that aren't completely flat - especially in the winter here in new England and feel like I get a good grip and won't trip or fall. Highly recommend these. I am usually a 5.5 but the 6 fit perfectly. not like some shoes where you are in between sizes so neither size works. Very attractive on the foot and comfortable and well made.

These shoes are awesome. I was looking for warm winter shoes that would keep my feet warm yet not be as bulky as boots. These have great traction and the ease of slip-ons. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I absolutely love them!

Boulder color 9.5 fit perfectly so I give the shoe 5 stars. Great traction walking thru Jan. '15 blowing, drifting snow -- I'd give 5 stars for winter utility! Trim around heel is cute accent. Happy could remove insert to insert my own orthotic. Oddly, black in same size was both too narrow and the top of the shoe between the gores rubbed my ankle, returned. Boulder neutral enough for my purposes, too bad about black.

I was looking for a snow shoe, not a boot. This fit the bill perfectly. I also needed something where I could put a shoe insert inside. This is a great waterproof shoe! A little tight at first but loosened right up!

After reading many reviews on Zappos and Amazon, majority stated the women sizes were smaller and narrower than others. I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear and they are perfect. I usually am a 9.5 or 10 but was able to order 10.5 which is rarely available. It was a toss up with color choice but the gray color is darker in person than picture and I really am excited to break them in (although they really don't need "breaking in"). Another plus is the sturdy sole and the easy slip on. I would for sure recommend this shoe.

These are the best winter shoes I have found. Living in the northwest, it's essential to have shoes that are sturdy, waterproof, warm, and with great traction. I bought these mainly for walking to work in wet, snowy/slushy conditions. They are great for that. I have to change footwear when I get to work, so the slip-on feature is a must. I did try them out on the trail-they were good in packed snow, fair in slush, and I did not get to try them on ice but would assume they would perform as well as or better than regular hiking shoes. I wouldn't use them in the back country because of the lack of ankle support, but they are now my go to everyday winter shoes. Just a great shoe. They run very slightly small. I am between a 7 and a 7.5 and found the 7.5 to be just right.

These are beautiful shoes. But the width was a problem. They seemed to run narrow, and unfortunately Merrell does not offer width choices. If you are not in their definition of "M" you are out of luck.

Third time the charm for this great shoe! I am glad I did not give up on this shoe. I tried each of the three colors and there was a definite difference in each one. I have had a joint replacement in my right foot that has failed. It is very hard to find a shoe that fits without pain. I needed something to replace a pair of Merrells that were pre-jungle mocs and great in the snow and ice. I knew I wanted these shoes because they look so cool and all terrain. Each pair felt different on my foot. Don't let the low back of the heel stop you from trying these out, you will get used to it. Now I can't wait for snow! Bring it on!

I wear a 9 and the size 9 fit great in my thick winter socks, right out of the box. Very comfortable and supportive, although a bit loose in the heel. The high thick sole was heavy and inflexible like a snow boot, so I returned it because I am looking for a shoe I can drive in.

I like these. They are stiff at first, especially the very top edge was rubbing the tops of my feet, but the more I wear them, the more comfortable they are.

I usually wear a wide but I found these shoes in medium comfortable enough even with bilateral morton's neuroma. Yeah! I was looking for a knock around, waterproof shoe and the fact that they grip ice is a big +++!

I needed some around-town shoes that are waterproof for when it rains. I love slip-ons. The opening in these is a little tighter than I would like, but I'm hopeful that it will stretch with time and use. I think they run a little small/narrow. I tried my normal 9 (which I have sandals from Merrell), then tried 10, which was too loose. I ultimately decided 9.5 would be good and so far they have been great for what I wanted. The tread is really good. I chose the boulder color, because I'm not a huge fan of black and wanted less contrast in the colors. So far it's a very easy color to live with.

First of all, these shoes have an incredible grip. That--combined with the light insulation--makes this a fantastic shoe for the Minnesota winter. It's reasonably streamlined-looking and attractive for this type of shoe. The reason I didn't give it 4 stars is the fit -- I had to size up half a size, and even then the fit is a little odd; the toe box is kind of narrow and the heel is kind of wide. The heel loop is unhelpfully located halfway down the back, so it doesn't help with pulling on the squishy top half of the heel back. But given the benefits above, I'm keeping the shoes!

Good quality shoe, but doesn't fit my foot quite right so sadly it's going back.

These are surprisingly good in the snow. These feel wide, unless I am wearing thick hiking socks, I can see these would be uncomfortable. I would not do much walking in them, as the wide heel makes them difficult to keep on my feet. These feel like men's shoes which are being marketed to women. Merrell must be using the men's shoe last, and that is why the heel is so wide.

Sadly I'm returning these. They are comfortable but just too heavy to lug around. Excellent snow shoe but heavy. Zappos rocks!

As most Merrells, these shoes are a bit wide. The heel does slip on the ankle--much like a clog would fit. Overall, these are comfortable, but if your foot is narrow, these might not be the shoes for you.

Very nice shoe for winter slop. Shoe is the regular good Merrell fit, but heel was a little wide for me. However, I sent returned the other five pairs I tried and kept these.

I wear Merrell moccasins all the time, so these were consistently sized and felt great. My only complaint is how quickly they became unattractive and worn on the top. I wore them regularly for a month and the top of the shoe because discolored and quickly not really OK to wear to the office or to a nicer restaurant when it was cold/wet outside. I wish that they stayed newer/nicer longer, like other Merrell shoes. It was a fast decline to ugly. They still fit great and work great, just ugly.

Haven't gotten to wear them in snow yet, but so far they are very supportive especially compared to several other brands I had tried. They are also very warm and very well made. I did order up a half size as I had read these run a bit small and going up a half size was a good choice. So far very pleased with my order.
