Chuck Taylor styling with a running shoe insole? Yes, please. Like many, I've been wearing Chucks forever. But, as I got older, I found myself forced to make a choice between looking cool and hobbling around with crampy feet and drum-tight hamstrings. Some of you may be thinking "How can you put a price on coolness?" Well, I did. Less than the cost of buying Chucks plus a decent orthotic insert. Which is what these are. I wouldn't go so far as to suggest using them for a triathlon, or even playing basketball in them, but the simple fact is that the new insole is bouncy enough to keep them all-day comfortable. Thank you, Converse. I'm cool again.

They added more cushion in the bottom of the shoe, but your foot sits too high and the back of the shoe is now too low. It feels like the shoe is going to fall off of my foot, but it is the right size.

I usually wear the regular low-top converse in a women's 8, and I ordered the same size in these shoes. Other reviews suggested ordering a size up; however, I would have found the shoe to be way too big if I had done that, and I'm glad that I ordered my usual size. The Nike insole is very comfortable and has good arch support. These shoes look a little wider than the regular converse, but are still stylish. Definitely would recommend these shoes to anyone who likes the classic converse look but is looking for some more comfort.

VERY COMFORTABLE! Consider buying 1/2 size larger than normal Chuck's. I can wear size 9; but I bought another pair at a local retailer, and decided 9's were too tight! For Me anyway. Bought 9 1/2 instead. I wont go back to the regular Chucks after trying these!

Comfort plus the classic look! Do recommend getting a half size larger than your standard chucks, that worked perfect for me. Thanks to other reviewers I bought these and love them!

I wear an 11 in every other shoe but Converse I always have to get a whole size smaller, so I ordered a 10.5 thinking It would work... and I should've gone with my gut. They run really big so order a size down.

If you’re familiar with converse shoes these have the same fit. I’m hoping that because they’re a skater shoe they will be more durable then previous converse shoes that my daughter has owned.

These feel a tiny bit smaller to me than the regular Chuck Taylors. They keep 90% of the classic look (I'd go the 70s oxford if you really want that vibe) but you get a the nice removable footbed. I'd buy half size up if I bought these again.

So much more comfortable than the classic chucks, I wish I switched over sooner!

I've been wearing Chucks forever and with age, they would start to kill my lower back. BUT with these added arch support inserts, I can wear these without worrying about my back. Definitely better than the older ones. Great shoes!!

When it comes to chucks CTS and CTAS are all I wear now. The upgraded rubber outsole, lunarlon insole and updated canvas for the upper have made all the difference for me. I can't give any insight as to their skating performance but for everyday casual wear the CTAS and CTS lines slaughter the OG brown bottoms hands down. I wouldn't really recommend the CT II line, I don't wear mine anymore because the fit is too narrow. If you're looking for a pair of chucks that retain that classic look with cushion, support and don't soak up water like a sponge these are the way to go. Even for casual wear the extra $15-$25 bones is well worth it.

Love the lunar insole! Classic chucks typically hurt my feet but the added comfort of the lunarlon sole allowed me to rock shoes that typically I don't wear due to discomfort. I got the whites which are hard to keep clean but I really love them.

I've always been a fan of Chucks - they're a classic. These are the best version yet. The construction is solid, fabric is more durable that the non-CTAS version, and the new Lunar insoles make them much more comfortable.

Described as true to size, but in fact run at least a half size large.

This is a nice little update to the classic Chuck's. I've only had them a couple weeks but the extra padding in the sole has been worth the extra cost so far.

These are not a advertised or described. Claims to have a lunarlon insole, but it has a very thin Nike Zoom Air in the heel and a little foam in the forefoot. Completely worthless. No arch support, little cushion, only slightly better than the originals. I'm very disappointed as I was expecting a pair like my last pair with the lunarlon insole (like described). These will be going back unfortunately. Love the old school style, but not the old school lack of comfort. If you have pairs with different insoles, you should separate which ones are which. Still love Zappos, but really disappointed with these. Shipping as always, was great.

The classic all-black converse are versatile for casual or slightly-dress shoes which make them great travel shoes. The new Ctas Pro Ox are more comfortable than the original All Stars for a long day of walking. Unfortunately, after about 8 months, the rubber sole split around the edges of the left toes which make them pretty useless. The rubber on the sides where the toes bend always cracks on Converse shoes for me as well. They were great while they lasted.

They look and feel great! They are a little narrow, similar to janoskis, but I expected that getting them. If you have super wide feet you might now like these. But overall they look awesome and are made of full suede so should hold up pretty decent but I haven't skated them yet. I feel like they would probly be better skating transitions like bowls and such because its not like super thick suede so high ollie's and flip tricks might wear em out faster than youd like.

Fit was nice, released some of the string tension in the toe box.

I really like the insole and overall look of the shoe. I believe they run about a size larger than listed. I have a pair of classic Van's lace up low tops in a men's US 12 and side-by-side, they are about 1/2 size smaller than these 11.5s. If I had order 12s, I would have had to exchange them.

As seen in other reviews, these typically run a half to a full size big. I have pretty wide feet, but I still go a full size down in these. I wear a 9.5, but have 3 pairs of these CTAS chucks in 8.5 and they all fit well. I do the same with regular chucks, but these are far more comfortable with the better insole. They’re also lined unlike the regular chucks, which adds a little more comfort and rubs on your feet less.

Felt so comfortable, but unfortunately runs full size too large. My Converse size is out of stock, so went with the leather chucks instead.

Great price and great quality!

These are my favorite Converse because they look just like regular Converse, but they have a removable insole so you can add your own custom insole! Combined with my Superfeet, they're the most cool / comfortable / flattering sneaker I own. If they came in more colors, I would buy them all.
