At first I felt the price was pretty steep, but I prefer these to the original converse! The insoles are comfortable and these last quite a while, even with regular wear. I am usually a size 8 in athletic shoes, but these fit great in 7.5.

If you've been wearing Converse for years, DO NOT size up - buy your regular Converse size!! My normal size was out of stock so I followed the trend here of half size up and they're definitely a half size bigger... Wider too! The suede material is really nice and construction much sturdier than standard Chucks. There is still 0 arch support (duh) but the insole does provides nice padding - I'm on my feet all day at work and have no pain with these over the standards. There is one extra eyelet versus normal but without even using it my feet stayed in fine (just the laces are too long!) Overall still stoked as usual for a new pair of Chucks!

My 8th-grade daughter loves these; they are her go-to shoe and she insisted on getting a second pair for this school year. She likes the fact that they are all black and so a little dressier than the average sneaker.

Classic appearance, upgraded durable materials and comfort

I've been wearing monochrome lowtop Converse for many years. I recently wore a hole through the soles on my most recent pair before this one so I needed a new pair. I saw that these have a removeable insole and a thicker sole so I thought I'd give these a try.These are very squishy and comfortable to walk in. My normal size in Converse is either 8.5 or 9 in women's and 9 in athletic sneakers like New Balance. I ordered these in a 9 because the 8.5s were out of stock, but I'm glad I did! The 9s fit just about perfect and I think the 8.5s would have been a bit tight. I do prefer to have a bit of wiggle room in my shoes, so if you like to wear your shoes on the tighter side you might want to size down half a size, but if you like them a little looser you will probably want to order your normal size. These seem to be well made like other Converse and should last for a while.

Love these. As someone else said, I've been wearing Chucks for decades. And with those decades came getting older. And with getting older mean things hurt that didn't used to. You kids will find out eventually! But I couldn't let go of my Chucks. So I am SO glad I found these. The Lunar soles give great padding and DECENT arch support. Not great - and I'm not THAT old - but far better than your standard Chucks. Padding around the ankle is nice, too. I DID go up half a size as several said but I personally don't think it was necessary. They're fine but I'm pretty sure I'd be ok with my normal size so next time I'll go with that. Overall though, if you're an aging punk rocker that absolutely has to have Chucks but don't like the sore feet and back pain ... check these out.

The sizing on these is way off. I had to go down a whole size for these to fit. I'm usually a 7.5 in Converse but had to go down to the 6.5 in these. But once I found my size they are great. The insert makes all the difference.

Cute, but the run big so order at least a 1/2 size down.

My regular size is 11m, but in this converse style I ordered a size 10 1/2, and it fits perfectly, width is fine,and length is fine,arch support is acceptable.Very stylish,and brings me back to my younger years,and ZAPPOS is great to deal with.

Wore these to Coachella and they offered great support for the walk there, around the festival, and back. They offer much more support than the regular converse and were worth the extra amount. I would only suggest wearing socks that are a little higher because I got terrible blisters on my heels. I got my normal shoe size and they fit. No need to size down like normal ones.

Comfortable when I put on but the heel would slip when walking around the house so am returning.

I had a pair of the Dainty Ox that finally wore out that it was time to replace. Aesthetically I like the low profile of the Dainty a bit more, but I'm getting older and arch support won out. Quite happy with these and so are my feet and lower back.

Love these shoes! The added arch support is perfect. Wore them all day walking around Universal Studios while on vacation and they were so comfortable. I normally wear a size 5.5 in sneakers and boots. Bought the women's size 5 and they fit great.

These are the ideal Chucks if you want some cushiony action in the footbed with moderate arch support. They took a few days to break in, and for some reason during that time they made my feet were sweating like stuck pigs. They run large like Chucks, but not the full size like standard ones. Order a 1/2 size up.

Awesome! If you like the 'standard' Cons, you will love these! The new cushioned sole is perfect, vastly improving comfort of the shoe. Like all Cons they run a bit big...every other shoe on the planet I wear a 10...ordered a 9 and they fit perfect. And buying shoes through Zappos is super quick and easy and always free shipping. These shoes are awesome. Strong canvas for skating, fit perfect, and super comfortable. Make sure to buy a half size down from your normal size. I wear size 8.5 normally and buy size 8 in these.
