Fun, slightly funky and very well made comfortable shoe. I spent a long time trying to figure out what sort of professional lace up shoe I wanted (wavered between loafers, canvas, leather, etc) and ultimately settled on these. I like the amount of detailing in the leather, it makes them fun yet the leather is 'professional enough' (what ever that means) to wear around the office with other shiny black leather loafers (I'm an engineer in a male-heavy office so leather dress shoes come pretty standard, mixed in with the occasional sneaker). I also swing dance and could definitely dance in these, good traction, low heal and they are light enough to move in easily.

These shoes are outstanding. They fit right out of the box. I ordered the shoes in Cognac and the color is spot on. They are worth every penny. Stylish and comfortable. I order a 6.5 medium and the fit was exact. If you are looking for the Oxford style, then I suggest you start with this shoe. I do not usually review anything online anymore, but I made an exception for these shoes. Also, I needed more of a lug-type sole for Colorado winters, and these shoes have it without turning them into hiking shoes.

LOVE. I was hesitant to order these at first, because the last several pairs of Born shoes I ordered were either terribly uncomfortable, or stretched so much with wearing that they became unwearable. However, I really wanted a pair of Oxfords, so I took a chance on these and I dont regret it! They are super comfortable -- I do a lot of city walking, and these have never let me down. The inside is a little bit cushy, actually has some arch support, and the sole is sturdy enough without being too big. These have stretched a little bit, but because they lace up they still fit great. They are classic with a little bit of a funky edge to them. I wear them all the time with ankle length or skinny jeans, with socks or without, or with skirts and tights. Totally love them and recommend them.

These are just want I wanted: cute, flattering on the foot, and comfortable. Very comfortable. They look great with ankle pants.

Great shoe so far. I bought these to wear as all-year all-purpose shoes that could be worn with dresses or with pants and still be comfortable enough to wear (and walk in) all day. So far they've been perfect. I did end up ordering one size larger than I normally do (size 11 instead of 10), since I like a larger toe box so that my toes don't feel squeezed and so I can wear thicker socks with the shoes in the winter. However, I may have been able to order my normal size if they would have come in wides. Overall, I'm very satisfied with these shoes.

Great shoe for pants or skirts. Wish it had a little better arch support and a little thicker sole. Expected better construction and materials for the price but overall a nice shoe.

Unlike other reviewers, I found the 8.5 I ordered to feel rather long. I'm usually an 8.5-9. I probably could have kept them, but on my medium width feet I could tell that once the leather stretched a little I wouldn't be able to lace them tight enough to keep them on. I decided to return and am reordering in a size 8.

These shoes are beautiful and very similar to an older style they use to carry but they definitely run narrow for a medium width so I will have to return them.

This is my second pair of Born Bristol oxfords. They are terrific. They look good, provide great support, and have adequate traction. I am a safety specialist and I move between an office, a car, industrial plants, and some construction sites. These look good with jeans or dress pants and are a great choice anywhere I do not need my work boots.

These are now my favorite shoes! I was pondering between the Skin/Rose/Latte and Crystal/Latte/Powder color, and chose the latter due to the colder colors I tend to wear. They were true to my 9.5 size, and good to wear right out of the box, great sole cushioning and no need to "break into them." I've always wanted sleek Oxfords that are light as a feather, and not bulky looking. I can't count the compliments I've received! Now the price tag was not exactly to my liking, but I cannot deny it was well worth it for its quality. The only con is for Born, not Zappos - I wish the black or brown came in color combinations too, like the light ones. It's a visual interest that enhances the beauty and quality of this shoe.

Comfortable out of the box, and a low profile. I tried other brands and models, but this looked the most feminine on me because the shoe doesn't look heavy. Really cute with black tights and those short shirt dresses and circle skirt dresses currently out there. I did have to go down half a size - got a 7 instead of my usual 7 1/2.

I LOVE THESE!! I ordered the tan color, to wear with cropped pants/jeans in summer, but with my light skin, they looked ridiculous. The blue combo was out of stock so I ordered the pink and tan to hold me over, and those still looked bad with how I wanted to wear them. I finally was able to order the blue and tan combo and I'm wearing them now to work with jeans. They are SO CUTE and comfy. I have foot issues, and I cannot wear heels at all, and flat flats usually hurt my feet and I can't wear them two days in a row. So these are really a help, and they are stylish and comfy and LEATHER. I really hope Zappos gets the brown and black back in stock. I am on the "notify me" list for these, but I still check on the website. These shoes are sold out in those colors on even the Born website, so I hope there will be more. I'm thinking about buying the tan and pink combo again just to have another pair, but I would only be able to wear them with long pants.

These are stylish, versatile and comfortable. Look good with skinny pants, slacks, and skirts. Wore to job interview in winter and they were great on icy sidewalks (I even got the job). Little to no break-in period for me. I have average width feet, size 10, and these fit true to size.

I need dress shoes that go with pants. I absolutely require comfort. This shoe fit the bill. I wear 9.5 and it fitted perfectly with a light sock.

I love these shoes. My first time purchasing Born. They are a great neutral and go well with many, different outfits. Excellent comfort. The cushioning is superb. I am already to wear them for all day walking. Great shoes.

Very comfortable and stylish shoe. I needed good walking shoes for a trip to Barcelona and they were perfect. I may have to order them in a darker color for fall.

These are the most comfortable shoes right out of the box. They feel like dancing shoes! They are truly cute. Highly recommended!

These are super comfy and look so fancy. I get lots of compliments on them. Great for work wear in between cold weather and warm. I wear them with or without socks, no blisters either way.

I love this shoe! Provides so much more support and comfort than a flat. I am a 6 1/2 and it fit true to size right out the box. I wear these barefoot with no issues at all. Perfect with professional dress or casual.

Comfortable but a little fancy. I bought to be my work go-to shoe for casual Fridays, and when I'm tired and my feet need a break. Good support, nice fit.

Shoes were beautiful. Have a hard time finding this style to fit my foot because I have a high arch but these fit comfortable and do not run narrow like other shoes in this style.

These are AMAZING shoes, I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They are comfortable right out of the box and SO SO SO comfortable. I have a wide forefoot and these totally accommodate it. I usually wear a 9 to accommodate my wide toes, but these have such a nice fit I'm able to wear an 8.5. I also live in Los Angeles and don't really need to wear thick socks, so I'm just wearing them with a very thin sock liner. I bought them in the rose/tan combo and may by the other powder combo I love them so much! I found the solid colors to be a little "geriatric looking" for my tastes and large foot. Perhaps on someone with a cute little foot they'd look adorable.

Really happy with this shoe. It's a great shoe for looking professional at work. Very comfortable sole, looks sharp, looks great with work dress pants/slacks. Beautiful craftmanship. You will not be disappointed. My only criticism is the toe of the leather is already looking a little worn after ~1 mo of wear, (but that's also with occasional snow/salt exposure in a North East Winter), and a simple shoe polishing should fix this.

I have the cognac ones in 10M and they fit like a glove...a super comfortable and stylish glove. They are more comfortable than some sneakers I've owned and definitely class up more casual outfits. Granted, I typically wear them without socks, so size up if you wear anything but thin socks...but yes, the leather lining and padding on the inside make it easy to go sockless. I'm now thinking about getting the black version.
