I was looking for a bootie to wear for work, but that I would also be comfortable in if I needed to walk to work in them. I wear a 9 and have a wide foot, so in a sneaker, I order a 2E. I always have issues finding comfortable, supportive and stylish work shoes. I ordered a 9WW (E) in the black/croco leather. I did also see the little white paint on the heel, but it can easily be scraped off. The heel of the boot didn't seem to be as well made as other brands, but I did find them comfortable. I would have considered trying an 8.5 WW or 8.5W since my foot felt a little like it was swimming in the shoe (which is an unusual feeling for me!). I decided on the Naturalizer Zarie (similar style) instead since it fit my foot a bit better. I have found that the WW in Softwalk is sometimes too big for me. If I had more time, I would have tried other sizes since it seemed very comfortable, but for now I sent this one back. In the future I may try one of the tan/brown booties for a more casual look!

I am so sad to have to send these back. They looked so cool, I was worried they would look too "country/ cowboy" but they are super chic! My problem was that although they are WW /EE they fit too snug for my feet. The shaft was rubbing on my ankles as well.
Thank you Zappos for letting me try these on , I need wider booties I guess.

I got the cognac color and in person, they are a beautiful dark honey color with a muted "wrinkle" effect. (No paint on mine, just soft leather and a beautiful wood-look heel.) The 6 wide was true to size on me. They didn't require any break-in time with ankle-length jeans and a no-show sock though I could see the front top irritating a bare leg or thicker ankle. I received many compliments and nobody could believe they were a wide-width comfort shoe when I told them. Very trendy right now but they also have a timeless look. I agree with another reviewer who said the rubber on the bottom sole immediately wears down a bit. I hope this does not continue because I love the look and comfort so much and for the price, I expect a quality shoe.

I purchased this shoe from a different seller based upon the reviews that it was plenty wide. For me, it wasn't wide enough. I disagree that the W = D width. It's more like a C. If you truly have a D width or a high instep, this shoe is probably not going to work for you. Its unfortunate too, because the color nude is a perfect neutral.

Since I have short, wide feet with a high instep, it's very rare for shoes to feel comfortable right out of the box, but I wore these for several hours with no discomfort the very first day, and had no break-in period since. They are cute; I liked the Sam Edelman Petty too but these were more comfortable. I wish the toe were not quite so rounded and the soles were not a different color.

My fussy feet liked this comfortable bootie. I didn't keep the shoes because I wanted booties to wear with a skirt or dress. I think these booties are best with pants. Also I have slim ankles and the ankle opening of these is waaaaay too wide for me.

So soft and so comfortable, the uppers are really lovely, both soft and thick, the insoles are well padded, the soles are flexible, and the heel is a perfect height. I feel like I could walk for miles in these things! Unfortunately the rounded toe makes what would otherwise be a 10/10 boot a little dowdy and unstylish. The leather is also a little crinkly and cheap looking.

These are super cute but they did not fit. The wide was not wide enough with thicker socks and with thin socks they were too loose around the heels and ankles (I have big ankles, too). The animal print has a real look to it and the black leather was nice. Try it - If it fits, it is a winner. I am bummed.

I like the design overall, including the sole, but I dislike the pebbled leather look. They are very comfortable, the fit felt true to size and they were wide enough, but I chose to return them because the boot was tight at the front of my ankle, while there was a lot of room at the back of my ankle. So when walking around my apartment, I could tell that any prolonged walking would ultimately hurt the front of my ankle. Definitely not something that I have encountered before! If it were not for that, I would have had harder time choosing between this and another pair.

Very comfortable! The leather is soft and stretches with your foot. I have very wide feet and the W width works great for me. The toe box is a little narrow (I have a small bunion) but isn't too uncomfortable for me. The top of the bootie was rubbing the front of my ankle, so I added some Dr. Scholl's rub relief strips and they feel great now. They do have a bit of an odor out of the box, but it goes away if you let them air out a bit.

Ouch! Attacks ankles in front - very rough edge to the boot, not soft at all. Otherwise these are wonderful! I am so bummed - love the looks of them and would've kept the black and the brown if not for that really painful front top part. It is too sharp/rough to ever be comfortable enough to me.

I ordered these in Graphite Cow Suede. The color was a bit darker in person. I did not have the "white substance" complaint of other reviewers. The padding and light arch support was nice, and much better than the average shoe, but still the toe zone felt pressured. These are true to width - I ordered a wide and they allowed room in the toe without leaving my heel swimming. These are true to size. I wear a true 8.5 and ordered these in 9 - it was a half size too big (they didn't have my size in stock). These look much more like a shoe than a boot. The picture is misleading in that way. I think it must be of a very small size because the shoe in a larger size seems so low cut. Cute, but since they were too big anyways and not quite the bootie I was going for, they are going back.

I bought these shoes on another site but they don't give reviews so I thought I'd leave on here. I bought them on sale for 75 which seem like the right price for these boots. I ordered a size 8.5 wide. I'm a true 8.5 but they seem just a little big but not worth sending back for a smaller size more like you just need to wear thicker socks if that makes sense. the width is perfect! I true wide fit if thats the width you're needing. They are very well made and cute. I didn't even need to break them in! The leather is so nice and soft they just wear right out of the box. Lots of support in sole as well. Perfect for walking around all day but you still want to look cute.
For the width, the only thing I didn't like was that the wide width came from the top of the shoe. It's still 3.5 inches at the widest point on the bottom which would be the same as a M (medium) size. So although very comfortable and still pretty cute it does sort of look like your foot spills over the sides on the boot (over the sole) Still worth it but you don't want to look like your feet are wide you know? The sole should really go up to 4 inches for the wide width sizes.
All in All I really do love these boots.

With the name Rocklin' the designers must've been going for a distressed rocker lock with the paint but it's not done well and there's way too much overspray spillage off of the sole and onto the suede. That said, the grey Rocklin's are more forgiving with this look than the brown and I'm keeping mine. I normally wear a size 9 and am comfortably wearing these in 8.5 and with the nice padded footbed there's no need to buy insoles (which I typically do with other size 9 boots). The heel is not rubber but, more importantly, the sole is. The suede has lots of give which also helps with the comfort. Plus, the low ankle height and does not get caught up in my jeans like some of my other ankle boots. Overall win-wins and these will get lots of use.

Not sure about the people below me complaining about the white powdery substance. clearly they didnt look at the photos because the photos show that substance being part of the boot on all angles. its some sort of pre-distressed look.... not a sketchy white mystery substance.

I first ordered these in my usual size, 8 M but they were too big, so I exchanged them for the 8M, never thinking I would need a narrow width. I ended up keeping them even though my feet slip around a little. The narrow would have probably fit more snugly, but overall, the boots are nice looking and comfortable.
