I was looking for a true winter boot with good traction on icy spots after having my old boots lose traction so often and so dangerously that I fell several times in one winter. I am 31, in good shape, and not running or horsing around... but merely walking to take the dog out or seriously just get to my car behind work and I still fell and sustained pretty terrible bruises that went down to the bone! I was terrified to be outside last winter. I hated thinking that this could be happening to an older person or a young child... they don't necessarily bounce back like a person of my age and health does... and I didn't bounce back!! So, I bought these immediately after our first storm of the season and couldn't be happier. My old boots were great in many ways (they were my bean boots that I really did love too, but wore the traction down in a year and didn't want to deal with resoling each year. I wear my boots hard... like everyday in the winter all day... so beans were worn in one season). The difference with these Sorel boots is the stability I feel on conditions that would have had me avoiding areas and shortening walks for my dog (which is not fair!) or accepting and submitting to the injury that was inevitable. I walked like a penguin and slipped. I swear I'm not like a huge klutz either. It was so bad!! Now, I am still cautious but finally I am gripping the ground with my feet confidently and easily, rather than adding a new bruise to the collection after slipping. I don't shorten walks for my dogs or feel panic and fear with each step. The Sorel boots are ridiculously warm- with even just the thinnest of socks. These boots are high enough to trudge through some serious snow, but also low enough to wear comfortably through the day if desired. I did purchase another boot from sorel - the Joan of arc I think it's called..for my everyday wear in the winter... it's less of a snow boot and more of a warm daily winter boot with a rubber sneaker-like bottom. This one isn't as effective on ice but isn't as bad as I've had! Good for sunny winter days after storms are cleaned up, but 100% amazed and happy with the combination of boots I bought for their desired use. They both rock but specific to the snow boot ratings , this one is pretty phenomenal. Tivoli 2 looks like a pretty neat taller boot if you want a little more coverage! Thanks sorel! Def want to say that both companies- sorel and bean (you know the one... just leaving it at that bc my point isn't to discredit or bash them, but to provide relatable and real comparison since this was specific to an issue trying to be resolved here!) and boots are awesome, but I think they are different worlds in terms of what they are providing. They don't compare when it comes to certain needs or wants... ice traction is the one I'm throwing out there as my pick! Each have their place in the market. Def recommending sorel for this need and problem with ice. This boot is very fairly priced for all that it provides, especially compared to other brands on the market. Funniest part to finish...realizing that my husband and I now have matching snow boots, not on purpose, but bc I apparently have the same (great!!) taste in boots... mine are just a whole lot smaller than the men's monstrous version. Our first winter as a married couple is complete now. Matching snow boots... completely by accident... so super corny and awesome

Sorel came through on getting to me the cutest red snow boots ever. The fabric of the red was absolutely stunning, the rubber around the toe shell felt sturdy and the insulation was soft and warm. Wearing them on the plane so I am removing the inner shell; which is an amazing feature. I am a true 7.5 but even with my wool socks they felt slightly large. I bought these on line so I didn't have the luxury of experimenting with other sizes. But these more than satisfy my needs for this snow trip. Thank you Sorel for this awesome boot!

I typically wear a size 8 shoe but in boots for some reason I typically have to get a 8.5-9. I originally ordered a 9 in this boot & it was a little too big. I exchanged them for an 8.5 and they are perfect! Ive never owned any Sorels before so I'd say order true to your normal shoe or boot size. And they are super comfy and warm, I don't want to take them off!

Moving from Southern California to Colorado has been a total change of climate. I knew I was not prepared for the winter, but once fall hit I realized just how unprepared I really was. I needed snow shoes and fast. I wanted cute and stylish, but functional. I am 5'3 so I didn't want something heavy either. These boots are perfect!!! I LOVE the duck boot look and the cozy feel- not just on the outside. They keep my toes toasty warm and comfy! So thankful I got these boots. Coming from a girl who is always cold- trust me when I say these are an investment you won't regret!!

True to size, great quality, super cute. Nice to have a synthetic option for those of us who don't want leather. Hope Sorel continues to provide more synthetic options in the fashion styles too.

I so far really enjoy these boots. I went up half a size and they are actually a little large on my feet when I wear normal socks. I definitely recommend these!

Great boots but too big. Am exchanging for smaller size. Im looking forward to giving the boots as a gift.

They run large as I suspected they would just by the nature of this type of boot (a snow boot) but they are cute and I'm so glad they finally made a more wearable, smaller and in my opinion less clunky boot then then Caribou. While the Caribou has it's uses it's just too much snow boot for me. The Carnival is just right in every way.

These boots are great! Very comfy and they keep your feet super warm!

I love these boots! The felt liner makes these boots so warm. They are also lightweight for easy walking. Love how the waterproof fabric upper laces up and hugs your ankle while the fleece collar on the liner keeps out the snow!!! Found myself out in the snow with the dogs and realized I had put them on barefoot - still warm and comfy!

I ordered these in hopes they'd get me through the snowy Chicago winters. Turned out I needed them earlier than I thought, go figure, and they lived up to the hype! I sized up a half size and it did the trick. I like the height of the boot and fur lining, couldn't ask for a better snow boot!

These were bought as a gift for my wife for the upcoming winter. She has given me nothing but rave reviews for them. She expressed that the fit was very good and that they were very warm. We attend many outdoor winter sporting events and that was their main purpose. She has given me the major thumbs up for warmth, comfort, style and the color as Red is the primary color of our sports team. Thank you Sorel for a great product.

I was happy to discover these boots! Warm, waterproof and stylish. I live in buffalo, NY and sometimes with the large amount of snow we get these were the perfect fit. Glad I purchased these!!

Perfect for me. Snug fit with thick socks but not too tight. Stays in place while walking so I'm better able to break them in. Good and sturdy well made.

I'm obsessed with these. The color is eye catching (lots of compliments) and they are super warm. The only warning that I have is to wear higher socks. I wore them with my low gym sock and it wasn't a great idea. I highly recommend these, if your looking for comfort, warmth and to standout.

These are my first sorel's and I can't believe I had been throwing money away on lesser cost winter boots because i wanted to save a few dollars. These will last far longer than the one winter and done I had been wearing. These are so comfy, so warm, and so cute. I love that they are durable and fashionable. They are cozy but leave room for a bulkier winter sock and other cheaper boots were quick to crack on the rubber toe part but sorel"s are made solid. No snow slush leaking onto my feet. I love them!

I think this product was worth it! It keeps my feet warm with the fur like material and I like the height of the boot! I would highly recommend this boot! Perfect for a Chicago winter!

This boot is perfect for Wisconsin winters. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a practical and fashionable winter boot. I've had Sorel boots over the years and these were equal in quality. This is one of the brands that seems to maintain their product quality year after year and these boots are no exception.

These boots are as cute in person as they are on the website. I wore them this past weekend while snow shoeing and while tromping around in deep snow. My feet stayed toasty warm and dry. They are also quite comfortable. I agree with the other people who posted that these boots are true to size. No need to size up.

This is my first pair of Sorels and I love them. Keeps my feet warm and dry. Grips well on snow and ice. I'm very happy I invested in these boots, waiting to buy another pair. The look from the outside at first made me a little nervous that it wouldn't fit, but looks are deceiving, it fit me very well with room to move my toes.

If you are looking for a snow boot that looks great and can handle serious snow, these are for you. I wear a size 9 and found the size 9 in these boots to have enough room for thick socks, but any socks would be comfortable. Excellent quality!
