True to size fit. Warm coat. Looks nice. Growth feature will allow coat to last longer. Had coats with this feature before and it's amazing!

Nice coat, but the hood is extremely small (disproportionately small) for the size of the coat. I purchased a large which fit nicely for my 12 yr old, but the hood seem to be for an extra small. Columbia has some nice coats, buy they definitely need to fix the sizing issues.

Some people stated this coat runs small but I ordered my daughter her size and and it fits her well with room for a sweater. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have enough pockets, just the two that are pictured & none in the inside. Also the pockets are not in a slant but sewn up and down so your hands lay weird in the pockets so gloves or mittens are a must.

Bought for my daughter who has a very small frame. Bought one size larger And it was a perfect fit. Wish there was more room for sweaters and hoodies. Just not roomy enough.

We loved the long length of this coat - it came nearly to mid-thigh on my daughter and would be great for cold days when she doesn't want to wear her snowpants to school. But we thought the fabric was a little frumpy looking, not as cool and sporty as the typical Columbia choices, and decided to go with a different Columbia coat.

The jacket is light weight and very warm.

My 8yr old LOVES this jacket. I love that is long enough to keep her warm, but not so long that it will slow her down while playing. My only concern with this jacket is that my daughter has a little difficulty zipping this one up. The zipper is on the small side. I think if I add a pull tag this should eliminate the problem. If the zipper were easier, this would be 5 starts!

Purchased this coat for my 10yr old who's normally a size 16. The XL fits well, but I especially like the option of lengthening the sleeves. She should get 2 full winters out of this coat.

Jacket is beautiful & fits great (I ordered a size bigger) except for the hood , which runs very small, but my daughter loves the jacket; she can always use a hat & scarf to cover her head instead of using the hood.

I got the "groovy pink" color of this coat for my first-grader. While I'm not a fan of the color, she thought it was wonderful. I wish there were other color options or even patterns instead of just black or pink. We haven't yet reached winter coat season so I can't attest yet to how it protects her from the wind and cold, but the length is wonderful for keeping her backside and legs warmer, especially since she likes wearing dresses and skirts. She also thinks the fur trim is fashionable and more like a grown-up's coat. My daughter is currently a sz 6-7 and she's got plenty of room in the S to maybe get two seasons out of it.

I like everything about this jacket, except one thing, no chin guard, even my daughter said that it feels scratchy by her chin when she tried it on.

Came late for two days and the back is not properly sewn. One side is longer than the other.

I bought this coat for my granddaughter and the Zipper broke within a couple of months!! I now need to bring it to the taylors and see if they can replace zipper!!!

The zipper split twice in the first week, I expect more from a Columbia product. I finally just took it to a local repair shop and had the zipper replaced with a better quality one, and it hasn't split since then.

This jacket is beautiful, my six year old absolutely loved even if it fit a little long on her. Unfortunately we had to exchange this jacket because the zipper got jammed every single time my daughter wore it.

Purchased this coat about 2 months ago from a retailer. We chose the coat because I have Columbia jackets and have always liked their features and they keep warm in MN winter. After just a few days of wearing this, my daughter stopped zipping her jacket because the zipper kept splitting and she would get stuck in the jacket at school. I thought it was user error, but it happens almost daily. Since the goal is to keep her warm, having an unzipped jacket just won't do. I'm not even sure I'll bother with sending in for warranty as this appears to be a common issue (per other reviews) and I don't want to replace with the same problem. This also seems to be a weird fit because she had to get an XL in order for the chest to fit, but the sleeves are long. Regardless, she needs a new jacket now and I can't wait for the warranty process. Will try a different Columbia jacket and hope for better results.

inner cotton comes out of The seams fake fur bad!!!

It is 23 degrees and snowing this morning, and I'm sending my daughter to school in a fleece jacket with a raincoat over it because the SECOND coat that we have purchased is being sent back to Columbia today. Same issue, a zipper that broke within a week of wearing it both times. Two nordic strider coats, two broken zippers, one kid ill equipped for winter weather until round three of winter coat ordering is complete. Not happy. We loved this coat, but we hate it even more.

My daughter loved this coat until she had to wear the hood. She is slim and it fits her in the body really well, but the hood is way too short. It picks up the whole jacket when she tries to put it on and it's always a struggle to put it on. It needs at least another 3" in height. She now hates wearing the jacket when she needs to wear the hood, which is necessary during the winter. I'm so disappointed and my only option is to go and buy another coat for her. It turned out to be a waste of money.

Bought this jacket for my 10 year old daughter and the zipper broke about 3 weeks after she got it and had only worn it about 5 times. I am sending it back but it will take 4-6 weeks to process it and send a replacement which doesn't really do me much good in winter. My only choice is to go buy her another new winter coat. Sorry Columbia, but this is about the 5th coat I have had from you guys that the zipper has broken on. Purchasing coats from you is not worth it anymore. Switching to another brand.
