perfect fit. very comfortable looks classy.

I bought these boots last summer looking for a durable, inexpensive replacement for the Italian boots I'd used most of my life and which my repairman told me would not take a third re-sole. These new boots were so light I hardly even knew I was wearing them. I'd taken them on a few soft trails in Yellowstone last summer but last week went into the rocky terrain of the Chisos Mountains at Big Bend. My footing stayed steady on loose sharp rocks and shingle and the grip was firm clambering over boulders near the end of the Lost Mine Trail. At one point, I misjudged a step and kicked a well-planted stone hard enough that I'd have ordinarily expected a sore toe for a couple hours. The rubber toe bumper took the shock like a steel toe and I hardly even felt the kick. I forded a flooded area about four inches deep on a lower trail and feet and socks stayed bone-dry with the factory sealing. My day packs averaged just under twenty pounds so I'm not sure how ankle support would have been with a backpacker's 80-lb load but for my purposes, I couldn't be happier with the value these boots have offered. I'm anxious to see what kind of shape they'll be in after a few years of service. At this price, you can't go wrong!

Comfortable and stylish boot. Good for traveling too...

These shoes are absolutely amazing! They held up very well through a variety of hikes, including ones from a mile to roughly 8 miles. I walked through snow, water and very rocky surfaces and they held up extremely well. I would recommend these to everyone and am very satisfied with this order. Thank you Timberland!

This is the third pair I bought in 4 years. I wore these boots every day. I love them. I have put these boots through hell and back. if you can think of it I've done it with these boots. Can't say enough about these boots.

The Black Maddsen Mid waterproof hiking boot is a comfortable fit around the ankles. I could of used a half size smaller since I went with a wide boot. I like the durability of the boot. I like the fact the bottom is more rubbery than plastic. I like that the Hiker is waterproof. I will be testing that this weekend camping. It is comfortable to ware all day being on the floor walking around. I love the shape and design of the boot. The eyelets make it easy to lace up.

Super comfortable right out of the box! Haven't had them out in inclement weather yet but so far so good!

These are my everyday go to shoes. Soft leather feels good on the foot. Shock absorbing sole feels great on the body. And they look great with anything!
