After the first hike, they held up-so far. I ordered a wide size. As I age, my feet are spreading. The length seemed to be okay (size 13). They did not hurt my feet on my first 6 miler and 3 miles was pretty steep. My old Timberland's were really worn out and started causing some discomfort. As with my old Timberland White Ledges, I suspect these will separate at the toe after some abuse. These were a little lighter than my old hiking boots so that's a plus. They were more supple too. That can be good or bad. Good if you like more flexibility and comfort. Bad if they are too soft and don't hold up. These boots offer very moderate arch support. I rarely use the inserts that come with any hiking boot. I buy a quality insert that offers more support. Overall, a good moderate use hiking boot. The reason I did not buy another pair of White Ledges, they seemed to have shrunk in size since I ordered them last (even with a 13 in a wider size).

These are the best foot wear I've ever used. A very comfortable fit, good for my work around the farm as well as my daily walks. This is my second pair actually as I bought the same style about 3-4 years ago and used them till they wore out. i still wear the old boots for things like cleaning out the chicken house digging post holes. Very comfortable for boots. Limits my ability to run, but that was something I fully expected with hiking boots rather than running sneakers. Great stability while hiking and climbing rocks. Looks very nice too!

This is the second pair of these boots I've bought. The first pair lasted me four years were worn daily for 14-16 hrs.
Very comfortable and tough didn't have any leaks the stitching never let go. finally wore through the heals into the foam inner soul

I have worn these boots every day for about three weeks now and they are fantastic! The pair these replaced were Merrell Chemeleans. Those were good boots too, but I felt that they failed prematurely at the hinge point where the fabric and leather joined together, so I wanted to try something different. I am really impressed with these Timberland Maddsen boots! Thank you Timberland!

My wife bought the boots for me and I honestly can say that they are one the best gifts ever, they look amazing and super comfortable, I didn't know that they are waterproof but I noticed that no matter what kind of socks you were, your foots sweat, besides that no complain, I am here looking for another pair of timberlands

OLD FARM BOY FROM MO. THIS IS MY THIRD(3RD) PAIR. WHY? THEY WORK HARDER THAN ME!! NEED TOUGHER/SHORTER LACES. EXCESS SERVES NO PURPOSE ON THE FARM.

I bought this back in 2014, wore them for almost 6 years, did construction, moving, flatbed trucking and just wore on 3 continents. Awesome, loved it.

Perfect fit right out of the box. No insoles needed, I wear these for work and at the end of the day my feet do not hurt. Had a minor waterproof issue but they are taking care of that (or at least hope they are). One of the best work shoes I have ever had.

I use these as my everyday boots. As an insurance adjuster I wear them when inspecting roofs.

I got these hiking boots about eight months ago and felt the need to give them a positive review online. These have comfortably and dryly gotten me through a variety of terrains including: Iceland (hiking through volcanic rock and steep countryside with various water features), desert hikes in the spring including summiting Angel's Landing at Zion and the Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness Study of New Mexico, as well as surviving some pretty brutal winter/blizzard conditions at home in Kansas City. All I asked for for Christmas last year was "a high quality, all weather, waterproof boot" and I definitely got what I wanted.

I love these boots. This is my third pair over the last 5 years or so and they work well with my khakis at work or my blue jeans and shorts on the weekends. The look and feel are top notch.

I'm very happy with these boots. My job requires me to be on my feet for extended hours, and I do a lot of walking throughout the day. The anti fatigue technology is amazing, and makes these boots so comfortable!
