Great styling and fit with these boots. If you want additional arch support, you'll have to buy some inserts. The quality feels top-notch and you baby go wrong in a pair of Timbs!

I walk quite a bit and these are very comfortable shoes that offer great support. I do have one complaint, however. There is raised stitching in the back of heel area and it completely rubbed the skin off of my feet. I developed blisters on both heels.

It fits really well and the leather feels soft. Hoping it's durable. I got the black shoes, and the brown trim gives an accent which makes it look a little less formal.

I am a musician and needed a pair of black shoes that I can throw on from my car at a moment's notice to play a gig. These shoes fit that bill perfectly. The backs of the shoes are a bit sharp against the backs of my ankles, but I don't wear them for more than a few hours at a time. Maybe that would be more troublesome if I wore them longer, or maybe that will go away the more I break them in.

nice shoe, and comfortable. but they are very long and narrow. i ordered 1/2 size smaller than normal and it's still a little long, and i had to order the widest size i could find. i have worn timberland shoes for 15 years and have always had a 9.5 (US size). the 9.5 in this shoe looked like an elf shoe with a long, pointy toe and i couldn't really fit into the standard width. so order carefully.

I finally pulled the trigger on the tan color of these chukkas. These have changed the way I dress entirely. I wear these with colored chinos mostly and they are great. Get tons of compliments on them. Very classy. Not as comfortable as my Boot Company Wodehouse Chukkas (which are the best shoes I own) but these will be in my regular rotation for years and for the money they are a great value. Almost bought the blue as well.

These look good and go with just about anything casual. I get lots of compliments in them. I ordered my normal size but they are a little big. You could probably go a half size smaller and be ok.

I am pleased with the "rough leather" look. I will be able to wear these shoes every day to work.

This shoe is EASILY 1/2 size too big on me, But I ordered a half size down and it is very comfortable. I was looking for an all leather, dark brown chukka for less than $200 that looked like more than $200, and that was somewhere on the line between dress and casual--something to dress up a pair of jeans and dress down a coat and tie. This was the only pair I found that did all of it. Excellent.

Maybe it's that I haven't been used to wearing boots during a cold season, but I really love these Chukkas. I like then the laces tie up and make that satisfying sound when they snap against the leather. The leather itself has already started to break in and I can only hope that it will develop a nice patina from months of solid use. They look great with chinos and jeans. I love being able to dress them down or up. Four stars because this shoe met all of my criteria except for one. I wish it didn't have the pull tab on the back by the heel. Guess we can't win them all. Still I've received two compliments on them in the past two days and I'm really happy about it because I hardly get compliments on what I'm wearing.

I think the Timberland City Lite Chukka is a better pair, if not as "formal" looking as these are. Overall I think they are a decent boot, I had a pair for 4-5 months of use, nothing real rugged, just walking around a 20 story building in downtown Seattle, as I work security. I think they could have been a little more comfortable, I'm not talking about the insole, I've never had a pair of shoes that was super comfortable in that fashion, but as far as how the fit felt on my ankle and heel by the end of the week my right foot hurt a little, more on the job than the boot possibly, but still for the sake of conversation I think I've had better pairs. Anyways 2-3 days ago I found that because of the width issue, I think they run a little more narrow than other Timberland's I've had, that the side of my foot had pushed the outside wall of the shoe over a stiff lip built around the upper base of the sole. With enough time the rubbing managed to tear through the leather, so now I have a 3 inch tear in the leather of the boot, not just stitching going but the actually leather which surprised me as I hadn't noticed anything until the deed was done. I'm going back to a normal Timberland Classic 6' boot as that pair lasted me the better part of 2 years of everyday use. Overall good while they lasted, and for someone who doesn't have fat feet I would recommend these, great looking, good comfort overall, and better construction that other Timberland. I think my issue with the boots comes down to wearing something that was a little too narrow, and I paid the price abusing the give, they stretched just enough that they were comfortable.
I'd also recommend:
Clarks, Rockport, Danner

These are good looking boots. They look good with khakis or jeans. The leather looks top quality. They run a bit narrow but I suspect they will stretch out a bit since it is real leather.

Style wise I love these and they are very comfortable. The red/brown looks great and is very versatile. As other reviews have noted the size seems to be hit or miss. I wear a 9.5-10 depending on the brand and ordered these in a 10 but ended up having to exchange them for 9.5. Its still on the large end but I like this style a bit looser on my feet.

These chukkas fill in the middle ground between a dressy suit shoe and moc toe loafers in a very stylish manner. The leather quality is exceptional, very supple, with a deep dyed color that does not go lighter in the creases over time. These feel to be boot lasted, so expect them to mold to your feet over the first half dozen uses. It's best to wear them on a sedentary day at first to allow the most stressed points to adjust without hurting your feet. The stitching on the uppers is very fine and precise, the hallmark of a quality build. The stitched-on soles look great, and the welt (the strip that fills the gap between the upper and the sole)should add to the durability of the shoe.
Structurally, the shank is very stiff, providing solid arch support. While the heel looks very low, that's only a design flourish. The shoe is built up on the inside at the heel to a conventional heel to toe pitch. These have a medium arch. You can easily change out the insole if you need more. The forefoot area is very flexible, which eliminates the 1 to 2 week break in period of serious walking/hiking shoes. The tradeoff is that there is fairly light midsole protection against stones and and rough terrain. The tread is not deep, but provides high traction, both wet and dry. These are not for off trail use - you will beat up the ball of your foot. Stick to sidewalks and smooth paths. You wouldn't want to nick up the fine grain leather anyway. These are urban shoe-boots.
At this early point in my ownership, I can't say much about the durability prospects, other than to note that a fabric liner is more likely to wear through than a leather liner. The fabric does appear to be pretty tough, though, and there is a leather patch lining the heel cup. Unfortunately, those grippy soles make these shoes no good for dancing. It's a small point, but the laces on these actually stay tied. It's not easy to find decent laces! I note that the heel tab on mine is not nearly as tall as pictured, which is fine by me.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this puchase - I may get a second pair in black!

I also ordered another pair of chukka's from another manufacturer that were twice the price of these; I ended up keeping the Timberlands... much better fit and a much better look with jeans and khakis.. really happy with this purchase.. and Zappos great customer service and return policy.

Bought these boots a few years ago and they're not bad, although I don't think i'd buy them again for a few reasons... The laces are terrible. I've gone through 2 pairs of laces already. Most shoes I'll hardly ever go through 1 pair. The boot is a bit tight on my foot, it feels like it should be wider (i bought standard width like I always do). They're a good fall boot, but in the winter your feet get cold in them.
