A great shoe -- though pricey. Very comfortable. Recommended by my podiatrist as I have plantar fasciitis. Has a lot of support and structure. Don't usually need it but bought a double wide. So may run a bit narrow but they have multiple widths to choose from.

I love these shoes! Not only are they comfortable for walking, which is what I use them for, I love the color and the shoestrings, which are a little spongy so they stay tied. I also wear them to work where a friend complemented me on them and I told her how comfortable they are right out of the box. I usually wear a size 9, but I buy the Brooks shoes in a 9 1/2 Wide and they fit perfectly. I don't have a high arch, but this show gives me the arch support I need. I bought the Addiction walkers to wear in the winter though. The Ariel is made for running so they are made of mesh which will let the cool air in to your feet even in the winter. By buying the Addiction Walker which is leather, I should have no problem with cold feet. I am buying 2 pairs after I loved the last pair I just bought in this color. I always stock up when I find a shoe I really like so these 2 pairs will go in my closet to replace the older ones and they start showing wear.

This Brooks Ariel 14 works great for me, this was my second pair. Very comfortable and helps with a bad ankle. Gives excellent arch support too.

I bought two pr in Navy/silver/white... Best shoe ever. Very comfortable. Wear them daily and have had them about six months. The look new! I have flat feet, weak ankles, bunions etc. I hope the navy color returns. I don't care for the pink/smoke....the navy blends nicely with different pants and shirts that I wear.

I walk all the time, and am constantly looking for a good sneaker. These are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I've had in a long time: they feel like comfy extensions of my feet. Highly recommended for those with an active lifestyle or who need strong joint cushioning.

I have purchased both colors, of this shoe, for my Precious Mama. She has had major problems with her feet, relative to arthritis and a long-ago injury. These shoes give her the support, which is necessary, for her to have a normal, productive day!

Really like these shoes. I am an extreme over pronator and I like the way my feet feel in these shoes. Hope Brooks doesn't change anything about these shoes.

Great sneakers! I have been relying on the Brooks Ariel sneakers for over five years now. I have foot, knee, and back issues, and these shoes make a major difference in my orthopedic health. Some reviewers have said that they find the Ariel 14 to not be as good as the previous Ariel models, but I have had no problems with them. I also love that they're an attractive sneaker that doesn't look like a "senior citizen shoe". Also, no break-in period required, at least, not for me. Because of my foot problems, and the fact that I wear these everywhere, I do replace them every six months or so. They are not worn out, but I put a lot of stress on them due to overpronating. They still look new.

I have to make a correction about my last comment. I haven't try Ariel 14 so the one I really like is Ariel 12. I have a lot of problems with my feet and this is the only one who fills my needs. Please don't change it! I will use it for the rest of my life! Thanks Brooks!

I have a disease called tooth marie, and I can't wear any kind of shoes but since I found Ariel 14 made by Brooks, it has become my favorite shoe. I am very happy with the product because it's wide and very comfortable for my feet and help me to walk for longer hours. Thanks so much Brooks for creating this model. It will be my shoes forever!

I am a size a 11 and originally ordered the 11.5 Ariel. This size didn't allow me the recommended thumbs width of distance between the tip of my longest toe and the end of the shoe (to allow for movement when running). I then ordered a 12 which fit well with my thick, padded Thor-Lo socks . So definitely order a full size up from your regular running shoe size as the Brooks Ariels run small. The arch support is great, as is the stability. The cushioning is superb and I find that my ball of foot pain from a poorly healed broken metatarsal doesn't require an extra bandage for extra cushioning because the shoe's cushion is wonderful!

I really like these shoes! I wish the price were a little lower, but everything else is great. The shoes fit just snugly enough to give great support all around. I have flat feet so strong arch support is extremely important to me and these shoes have that! I actually like wearing them because my feet feel great while in the shoes. The colors (grey and berry), along with the shape and style of the shoe, make attractive, feminine, athletic shoes.

This is the best support shoe I have found and I have worn them all believe me! But...does run narrow. I wear 6.5 in street shoes but always wear 7.5 in an athletic shoe (most Drs will tell you to go a size larger in athletic shoes)and since I read that it ran narrow I went from B width up to D width. Sooo got a size bigger and size wider and feel as if my feet are in heaven. The comfort and cushioning is wonderful and the arch is...well lets just say at the moment I don't need my orthotics.Am walking my 10,000 steps a day and my hips and knees are happy! All styles and brands run differently so get the size that fits your foot...you may take a 7 in one style and a 7.5 or 8 in another! Am going to buy another pair in the purple this time. The midnight blue is refreshing...so tired of black OR blue & white. The navy blue goes great with jeans! Would definitely purchase again and am going to!

This shoe is wonderful! I wear a 6.5 but in athletic shoes you usually go up a size so I ordered a 7.5 and up a width after reading reviews.The shoe does run narrow so order up in width. I wear inserts but not in this shoe...fantastic arch! These shoes feel like cloud walking with no pressure on knees or hips.I will be saving for another blue midnight pair...looks great with denim. This shoe is great if you order the right size.

This is my go to shoe-I buy a pair every year. I have high arches and this is the only shoe I've found that gives me the support I need. I really like the colors this year!

Love these shoes, I have always had a horrible time finding shoes that fit my feet well. They are comfortable, have good support and are helping with a severe case of plantar fasciitis. Thanks to another person that posted it was helping with her plantar faciitis. I may buy another pair just because it is hard to find something that works well. I personally did have to go up a 1/2 size for comfort but with the free exchange it was no problem and it was fast delivery.

These shoes are wonderful. I was not sure what size I would need as I have always got new balance. I love shopping with Zappos. Anyone would be a fool to go to a store when I can place my order return what doesn't fit. Thank you very much! debi

I love, love, love these shoes. They are so comfortable and cushiony. I have flat feet so it was nice to finally be able to buy a pair of pretty shoes in my favorite color. I was tired of boring white and basic blue and silver.

Awesome tennis shoes, was so happy to find that particular brooks Ariel 14 last year's Brooks model in my size. I have the newer one that are dark gray with a little purple on them. I wanted the same model in a different color to switch between the two with my exercise program. Very fast service got them five days before they were to arrive. Awesome, love them; changed the laces from white to navy blue. That's Brooks issue not Zappos. Quick service will encourage me to shop more with Zappos.

My first pair of Brooks and I love them. A torn meniscus sent me to physical therapy. A more stable shoe was recommended; so I looked into the Brooks Ariel. I usually wear a 6-61/2 B. I needed a 7 Wide in the Ariel. They're perfect. I wish the color was more fun, but they'll do. I'm looking forward to walking and doing stairs with a normal sure gait. These will definitely help.

I too have worn the Ariel for years and love them. This year's model is definitely made narrower. I had to send back the first pair and order a Wide, like some of the other reviewers!

Great shoes! I've had Ariel's for several years and these are just as great as the others have been. Help make walking more tolerable...I have bad knees. Also love the colors.

I have worn Spenco insoles in all of my shoes for 20 years for adequate arch support and heel cushion. The Ariel '14 provides this without the Spenco. I also own the Ariel '12. The '14 is narrower. Neither the '12 nor the '14 offer the stability of my leather walking shoes.
