These shoes are comfortable and work for me so far. I'm still adjusting to the different feel of these from my old shoes (New Balance)...I like these, I just can't tell yet if I like them as much as my old shoes. Great color, though, couldn't find the purple anywhere else but Zappos.

The wide toe box accommodates my Hobbit-like feet. But I wish the wide version came in a greater variety of colors. Also, the shoe itself tilts down a little too much; the forefoot is down lower than the heel in a way that is sometimes uncomfortable.

Wider in the toe box than the GTS14 which isn't good for me but others may like that. I got them because the color was a bit more mellow than what they have been offering in the GTS.

These are very comfortable and I love the colors. They run a little big though. I'm a 9.5 in Saucony and Asics but should have bought a 9 in these.

I purchased these shoes because I had such a good experience with the Ghost 6. No problems at all. I normally wear a 10 medium and always size up to a 10.5 for this shoe. I love the color, feel, and fit. I only have one complaint and it is cosmetic in nature. The material used in the collar of the shoe wears a hole in it very quickly, i.e, about 2-3 weeks of use. When this happened the first time I had the shoes replaced. Thanks Zappos! The second time it happened I just sewed over the frayed area. I probably should have returned the second pair and moved on but turns out the whole Brooks line seems to use the same material for the collar. I love how this shoe fits so I am willing to work with it. I will be looking into other lines whereas I probably would not had this not happened. Wish I could find another pair of the Ghost 6's.

I'm an 8.5, so I usually go a half size up for running shoes. That said, 9's worked well for Ghost 6, but the 7 seems to run large. I ordered them in an 8.5 and so far they seem right. I just want to know one thing - who comes up with these colors? Sheesh, could you turn down the volume a little Brooks? It would be nice to have at least one choice without all the fake metallic accents. And I don't get the white soles thing either - maybe if I did all of my running on a treadmill, but out on the road white means gray. Otherwise, rock on Ghost 7!

I have been wearing Ghosts since they first came out. My favorite has been the Ghost 6 so far. I had been waiting for the 7 to come out and anxiously purchased. I wore for first run for only 30 minutes and was very disappointed. Toes are narrower, pinched my big toes on the side. Shoe felt very very stiff right out of box. I prefer a shoe that is more flexible to start with. I felt there was not as much cushion compared to the 6. I purchased a 6.5 as I had in the ghost 6 and was slightly larger in the length of the shoe (but nowhere else). I returned them sadly. And more sad that Zappos doesn't carry the 6 anymore.

I was a devotee of the Ariel but the re-design comments and the price hike meant I needed an alternative. The Adrenaline was too narrow and did not feel right at all. I read that the Ghost 7 had a wide toe box, which is what my wide hobbit-feet require for my daily runs of about 4 miles, so I went with it. I will say the cushioning is less than the Ariel, but the Ghost is holding up well so far. I will probably wear these until I try on a pair of Ariels at a local store (just to verify the narrow toe box assertion) and until the price of the Ariels comes back down.

I'm a huge Brooks fan, it's the only running shoes I will buy. I've had the fives, six, and now the sevens. So why the 4 star rating? I can't tell if they're giving me the same shock support. I feel little aches and pains when I run...nothing dramatic but with previous pairs I never experienced any aches at all. I'm only running the treadmill right now too and not outside on the concrete. Hmm...I was too confident and threw all the packaging away so I can't return them otherwise I might have. I guess time will tell. If things don't improve, I will go back, or wait to see what the 8's bring. I still love them. They're not bad, I just had a better experience with the previous two right out of the box.

My favorite about the shoe is the color. The heel area is snug on my narrow heel both top and bottom of the shoe. This is great because it does not slip up and down. The front of the shoe is a wee bit wide but not so much that it is uncomfy. Arch support is good. Overall it's a good shoe but I prefer my Asics Cumulus. I purchased a size 8B with is my typical size in running shoes and it fit perfect.

Thank you for carrying an 11 1/2 size that not only fits but is so comfortable. I have walked a lot since these arrived! One issue is that the tongue on both sneakers is frayed. The stitching not properly done, which for the price, I would expect fine workmanship. That is only thing that stops me from ordering a second pair for work!

I've switched around from Brooks sneakers to other brands, but I'm back to Brooks. I've been running about 15 miles a week in these for a month and I haven't had any trouble spots! Not super padded on the bottom, but they provide enough support. This is a good sneaker for people who run low to medium mileage. Great sneaker.

These shoes are great looking. The arch support is very good. The insole is not very cushy and hard on my feet overall. I need a little more height in the heel also. For me this shoe didn't work.

I love Brook shoes and wanted to love these but there was a problem with the inner lining on the upper part of the shoe, very rough and caused blisters.

I like the shoe but never should have bought them without trying them on. I have a difficult foot, 10 1/2 narrow along with bad knees. So it's not Zappos mistake but mine.

I am a huge fan of the Brooks Ghost 6, have had multiple pairs in different colors, it was a perfect running shoe for me. So disappointed in the fit of the Ghost 7. Had to return.

Well, I have been a fan of the Ghost series up to now. Ghost 7 has a changed footbed, with a bump right at the ball of the foot. While this might, and I say might, provide extra support for a runner, I found the new design to be annoying. Also, the arch was just a bit further forward than in the previous Ghost shoes. So, between the bump and newly placed arch, I had to return them. I have been a fan of Brooks shoes ever sense I started running, back in 2001, so I will look for another style in the Brooks line. I did like the cushion in the heel, and the look of the shoe is fantastic. So, if it works for your foot, good on you!

Great fit for a wide foot (bunion) but narrower heel. Unfortunately not very cushioned. Had to return. Looking for a replacement for the Nike Air Pegasus since they remodeled it and it doesn't have the great cushioning anymore. New Balance Fresh Foam Boracay seems like the best option.

I have worn Brooks Ghost for years since the 4 came out. Up until now have loved them. Very disappointed in the 7's. They are more narrow and for the first time in years I am getting blisters. Not happy. Will probably be the last pair of Brooks I buy. Quit changing the shoes!

I wrote a previous review about the 7's being pretty good but now I moved it down to 3 stars and felt I should update. After only a month or two I'm back to wearing my Ghost 6. With the 7's I have been experiencing mild to moderate aches in my joints - my right foot and ankle feel the worst. They seem a little too wide and maybe I'm not getting the right support for this reason. The 5 and 6 were perfect (ordered all 3 pairs the same size and width) even after wearing them way past 3-6 months I had zero aches with the two predecessors and gave them both 5 stars. For the price I'm gutted. I'm very disappointed this time around.

I was looking for a shoe with good arch support and to help correct supination when running. This shoe is comfortable except for a plastic/rubberish line that runs from the top of the laces to the edges of the shoe. That line makes the shoe really pinch on the outside edge for me, right over the tarsometatarsal joint. I'm not sure if it's because my foot naturally rolls out, but these shoes were recommended for those who under pronate. Going back.

I have been using Brooks Ghost for running for the past 3 years. I love them and they have always held up. Unfortunately, these began to fray on the top after 2 weeks.

I was worried about trying Brooks because everyone said they may be too narrow for me, but I was fit for a size 9 in the Ghost 7s. I was shocked that the size I was fit for is my normal size for running shoes. When I first tried them on, they felt nice and comfy...plenty of room in the toe box. At first, they felt decent...not best ever, but not bad either. After a few runs/walks, I started to have issues. I was getting cramping in the sides of my feet, which only seems to happen if I'm in a shoe that doesn't have enough support and cushioning. I've also been experiencing some arch pain from them. The good news with these...there's enough cushioning that I have little to no leg or hip pain like I was having with my previous New Balance. I also noticed my feet starting to slide around a bit. i.e. my fear over them being too narrow turned in to them actually being a bit too wide. Here's where it gets strange. Both shoes have developed a series of holes right near the side of my pinky toes. I've heard of this happening when shoes are too narrow, but I've never had this happen before with a running shoe. Plus, the holes seem to be starting in the exterior material. i.e. the interior material can hand it, but the external mesh is too flimsy to take the wear. As far as style, these shoes are gorgeous. I get compliments on them left and right, but I expected more in the comfort department.

This is my second pair of Ghosts, and my sixth pair of Brooks. I'm horribly disappointed by the fact that the pink edge around the foot opening has already started to wear, and in fact has worn off in some spots, after only a few weeks. The shoe fits great but now it looks like it's ten years old. Such a shame.
