I really wanted to love these sneakers as I have worn the past 3 glycerine models and have been very comfortable in them. I have problem feet, have had 3 surgeries on them and need a cushioned shoe. I also wear orthotics. Well, I tried these shoes out for a couple of days by wearing them around the house and found my feet hurting. It feel like these shoes make you carry your weight more on the balls of your feet than the other models. So... Back they go and back to the drawing board I go. I wish companies would stop changing their models so much!

These were an expensive disappointment. They are on sale now but I purchased them a month ago for full price thinking "you get what you pay for." Not true in this case. These shoes have no arch support and no cushion for the ball of foot. I do have Plantar Fasciitis so I am more sensitive than most people to lack of support. They are a really pretty shoe though. I will keep them because I've worn them but they were a letdown. Zappos, however, is the best!

Heel pain! I am a Ghost wearer but decided to try these. After a few short runs they seemed fine. During a long run I developed heel pain and could not wear them again. Went back to my old Ghost and pain went away. However, Brooks with their awesome customer service exchanged them for me. Even though they've been worn for a couple weeks. Not sure why, but if you compare to Ghost, heel is narrower. Also not very much padding, kind of hard feeling. My suggestion is, if you're a Ghost wearer, don't switch. If unsure, go to Brooks web site they have a shoe finder quiz that is very helpful.

These shoes do not curve in much at all in the mid foot; too straight. felt narrow in the toe box. (everyone's shoes are running narrow though). I always use an insert because of my mid/high arch.

This was my 1st pair of Brooks. I usually wear Asics. A great looking shoe, and given the high price I assumed they would be great quality. They are a little lower in the heel than I like but I got used to them. I teach fitness classes 5 days a week so I need a good shoe with support and cushioning. My Asics usually last 6-7 months minimum. These already feel worn out and there is a hole in one. I got them end of October and it's now early March. Disappointed that for the high price (more than Asics) they don't seem to be as high quality as the Asics.

As an underpronator (very high arches) the shoe is too rigid and not enough cushioning. it's a gorgeous shoe but not for an underpronator.

I've made my way completely through the Glycerine series which has served me superbly and was hoping that some of the reviews I'd read about the Glycerine 12 weren't correct. After wearing the 12's for about 10 days I gave up on "breaking them in" or "acclimating to them." Something has changed - this isn't a neutral shoe. Sore knees and an aching back were a result of the shoes. I finally found 3 pairs of the AA size I require in Glycerine 11's on eBay and ordered all 3 pair. Maybe the incarnation following Glycerine 12 will revert to the shoe I've loved to wear.

This shoe is not as comfortable as the Glycerin 11. I am disappointed! Brooks tried to make the show more like the shoes that the barefoot runners enjoy. I started buying Glycerins because of the great padding that protected me from the impact of the road. I can feel every painful stride with these shoes! I will be looking for another brand! I am also disappointed in their choice to not offer wides anymore.

I love many things about this shoe. The cushioning is fantastic! The fit is great, and the flexibility and support are perfect for me. I do not have aches and pains after using this shoe; I used them in a half marathon will no bad after effects. However, this shoe almost completely encases the foot in plastic. It s almost as plastic as a plastic/rubber rain boot. Healthy feet need some ventilation, especially feet that are running and generating a good bit of heat. These shoes are hot (temperature wise). The Glycerin is also pricey, and for the price I would expect something better than all this plastic. What was Brooks thinking?

I ordered these shoes because I love my Glycerin 11's for both style and comfort. The style was great but, like other reviews have stated, the 12 does not give the same arch support or broad base. I went back to the Brooks Ghost. That shoe still meets my needs in comfort, though it is not as nice of a style.

I used to love Brooks, but they've changed. The shoes no longer offer the cushioning they used to. I love that they make a wide shoe, but my knees and my feet hurt after I run just a few miles in them. It's really disappointing.

Really disappointing redesign. I have been wearing each successive model Brooks Glycerin for many years. If I don't wear athletic shoes, my heel starts bothering me so I am in them literally all day. The fit and feel of the Glycerins had been consistent from one model to the next over the years. The Glycerin 12 is a huge disappointment. It is too narrow in the heel, which has never been a problem before. Worse, it is much less cushioned than prior models. I had to take them off even before I got to the treadmill. Sadly, I will have to return them today. No idea where I go from here because this I had chosen this model after trying almost every other athletic shoe on the market.

I've worn nothing but Glycerins for years. Over this time Brooks made small improvements which added to the comfort. With the Glycerin 12, though, Brooks has gone too far. The shoe is tight and makes me feel unbalanced. This is a huge disappointment.

One of the worst made products I've ever received from Zappos. There was frayed seams, poorly glued bottom, you could see glue spotted all over the bottom. The foot bed was almost non-existent. I was so disappointed, I couldn't believe someone packed it up and sent it to me. I have many athletic shoes, and I've been a believer in Brooks, not as much as Asics or Saucony, but I've had a good all around Brooks for many years. This product is substandard and they should be ashamed. Someone should fly to the manufacturing place and check out the process, because this is ridiculous!

LOVE these running shoes. I think they're the most comfortable running shoes I've ever had. I mostly walk, and find them great! Because they're black, they also look somewhat dressy, so I can wear them to different things and not feel underdressed.
Hard to rate on arch support, because I wear orthotics with the shoes, but I'm getting excellent arch support.

Well, this is a "pretty" shoe for sure. Surprised that they were very wide; my feet were swimming in them. There was also nothing in this shoe to help "lock down" my feet. No lateral or arch support at all. Sadly, back they go. Brooks missed the mark on this one.

I loved my glycerin 10's and waited 6 months for the 12's. After foot surgery I was very excited about receiving my 12's. Wow what a disappointment. brooks really messed this one up. These felt very flat to the ground, not ground contact, just flat. The arch is definitely not what it was in the 10. Too bad. I was really hopeful but so disappointed.
