I live in Chicago and this coat will not keep you warm when you need it most. I had to wear several layers under the coat and my arms were still cold. I also notice that feathers were pouring out of this coat after less than 30 days. I thought North Face was a reputable brand. I realize now that North Face is overrated. This coat was an investment for me and I had hoped to wear it at least three winters. It was a waste of money. I do not recommend this item.

Absolutely loved this coat! It doesn't have the cinching on the inside but it is flattering the way it is.

This parka keeps me warm even when temperatures are in the 20's and with layering underneath I believe it would keep you warm at even colder temperatures. I like how the hood fits around my face, keeping the wind out. The longer length is great too. I vary between a size 14 and 16 in most clothing items so I chose XL and it fit perfect, leaving room for a sweater underneath. Love the navy blue color also.

I’m taking a trip to Norway in March & I didn’t have anything warm enough to take with me! My husband helped me pick out this one. I believe it will fit the bill perfectly. I think the sizing is on the small side & returned it for the next size up! If you plan on wearing a sweater under it consider going up 1 size! The color is beautiful & It’s very well sewn! I’m very pleased with this parka!!

The North Face Gotham Parker fits my daughter perfectly! The North Face is a very high quality brand and I love the way Zappos delivers quickly and to your door and the customer service answers all questions and solves all problems immediately either by phone or by chat I love the access that Zappos have to customers and vice versa and their products are always top-notch. But as for the North Face brand, I've never been disappointed with the warmth and coziness the jackets provide.

I ordered this in the blackberry wine and the color is gorgeous! I'm a curvy woman and wear a size 18 so i ordered a XXL that fit perfectly with a little extra room. I'm very happy with this coat and looking forward to wearing this in the winter.

I am 5'2.5" about 140 # wear 34d bra, ordered the small in navy. Love the color and style, not too puffy looking. Fit through shoulders and arms good but a little snug through the middle when zipped up; think a medium would be too large otherwise, would not wear but a single layer with maybe light sweater underneath and would be plenty warm. Great looking coat, perfect length to cover thighs.

This is my favorite coat I've ever owned. I usually wear a small and ordered a medium. The medium fits just right. For reference im 125 lbs and 5 ft 2 inches. Its very warm and I dont think I would want it any warmer or I'd sweat to death! Very lightweight and comfortable.

Love this coat! I am 5'2" 116lbs and the small fit perfect...The length is just right, the sleeves have an elastic band around the wrist for a warm snug detail..Love this coat, well worth the price! I want to buy it in another color!!

Great everyday coat that I wear to the office and out for a casual night out. Sharp coat that keeps you warm and covers the body like a parka should.

I absolutely love this coat. The fit is stylish and very flattering. The color is so pretty. On line the New taupe color looks a little brown but it is more on the green color. This is the best jacket I have ever bought.

I wear this jacket every day in cold weather. I love the length because it keeps me warm and cozy. I was concerned at first when I washed the jacket and it seemed as though the feathers clumped in one area leaving other areas with no insulation. I was ready to contact North Face with my concerns when after a day or two I realized that the feather clumps had spread out back to normal. I would highly recommend this jacket.

As expected

This was given to me as a gift by my awesome bff, and it has instantly become my favourite winter jacket. It's super comfortable, very durable, warm and looks great (on me). The couple of negative reviews on this jacket are frankly quite ridiculous. People rated the coat 1 star or 2 stars because they don't have the coat in their size, they felt the colour didn't suit them, or the sleeves were too long for their arms? That's not at all an issue with the quality of the coat, merely their personal opinion. If you try on a coat and decide you don't like how it looks or feels, it doesn't make it a bad coat. It's like a 7 foot 300 pound man trying to fit into a small compact car and giving it a 1 rating because he wasn't comfortable in it.

This jacket is so warm! Its great when I'm going to be outdoors for a long period of time. It's a bit big and bulky to deal with during "everyday life". When I'm running errands and going into stores it tends to be too warm and too big to deal with. But I loooove it for outdoor winter activities. I needed to get a smaller, lighter jacket to use when running everyday errands.

I Love north face coats but I just wish they made for petites. The length of the coat is not bad but I find the sleeves too long and hard to tuck under because of the elastic band. I was able to tuck the sleeves under on my previous coat and they stayed that way when I took coat on and off. I will keep this coat because I have kept putting off buying a new one for about three years hoping northface would come out with a style that suit me well. My zipper on my old coat broke and this is the best option for me right now. I will have to deal with the sleeves. My old coat was a bit shorter in length but, again, this works.

Overall this is a great jacket. I had to size up as the jacket fit small. The coat is very comfortable, warm and has great style.

Runs small, if you want to layer go a size up. Love the fit, it's form flattering.

This coat is warm, exactly what I wanted. Love the cinched waist. The only draw back is it's a little tight at elbow.

I purchased this in a medium based on the reviews, but I wish I had ordered the small because the medium is too big (I am 5'5", 125#). I ended up going with the Metropolis parka because it was a bit more slimming. Also note that this is listed as 100% down filled but the jacket I received says it is part down, part synthetic fill.

I am 5'2 and 130 lbs. I ordered the medium and it looked too long and did appear rather boxy in the shoulders and bell-y at the bottom. Hoping the Mauna Kea will work with the shorter length. This coat would be very cozy otherwise.
