I had wanted one of these coats for a couple years and decided this would be year. However, when the coat arrived it just didn't seem to have much down in it. I put it on and walked outside into the 0 F Minnesota evening and got cold after just a couple minutes. This coat would not protect me enough for winter use. Also, the front snaps, which are fantastic to have generally, were really hard to unsnap. I mean to the point that I worried the fabric would tear. The North Face could improve this coat by adding more down, putting fleece lining in strategic places like the chest, pockets, and sleeve openings, and putting in better quality snaps. I had to send it back.

I bought this for my wife. She loves it. She looks amazing in this coat.

This is a fantastic coat and not my first one by the North Face. I bought a medium. I'm 5' 4" tall and weigh around 138lbs. The coat fits well and I love that it zips up from the bottom. It makes it easier when I sit in the car. This coat is a 550 fill and keeps me quite warm here during the cold, arctic Chicago winters. The zip pockets keep my keys safe. My only wish is that it was a bit more a-line. I have a pear shape body and with my hips being a bit wider, an a-line style would give me more room. Normally, I would wear a small, but I sized up to medium for a bit more hip room. Great coat! Don't pass it up.

I got this coat as a birthday present and last winter was the first year I wore it! I absolutely loved it and felt that it was functional and stylish... flash forward to this year.... out of the blue one day I notice feathers blowing in the wind as I'm walking to class. I look down to find a hole of about 2 inches on my left shoulder, where the north face metal logo is, I was totally upset because I have no idea what happened, but all of a sudden it feels like my coat is falling apart... I now have tape on it to cover the hole but for the price tag, I would've hoped that I could've worn this coat for years!

This is the third Metro Parka I have purchased and keep coming back for more of the exact same thing, I can't say enough about how warm and practical this coat is!!!

I walked a mile each way to high school every day, rain or shine, even during the harsh Chicago winters. My mom got me this coat when I was a junior, because a short winter coat wasn't cutting it. I'm in college now, but looking back, I honestly wouldn't have made it through the winters without this coat. In high school, some of my friends made fun of me for my "mom coat"-but hey, at least I was warm. I've had it for three years now, and as winter approaches this year, breaking out this coat feels so good. It's like seeing an old friend. It's still just as warm and comfortable as the first day I got it. I love it, and now that I'm in college, when my friends from California are looking to buy their first coat for the upcoming winter, I don't hesitate to recommend this one.

fit is a little snug but adequate; -I'm very busty... love the slimming pattern and length. I am 5"2 and sleeves are perfect length... could be too short for a taller women. seems very warm; hoping it's perfect for Jan. in Park City...

I loved the coat, but not a good fit. Snug thru chest/rib area. I'm 5'3" and weigh 118 lbs. Sleeves were too long as well. Size small

Needed a long warm coat to wear when going to football games. Sitting out in the cold for 4 hours can get quite cold! I am always cold so I needed a quality, well made coat to keep me warm down to my Knees. This certainly fits the bill! It is also so stylish! I feel warm and look great! I would definitely recommend this coat to anyone!

I have a lot walking around to do outside. It keeps me warm while still breathable. It can fit sweatshirts underneath but personally there is not TOO much room for it. I really don't like anything tight or restricting so that is just my opinion.

Good quality warm jacket

It's so hard to find well made stylish clothes in my size and I have found the North Face fitted styles run small. I am very pleased with this coat and it fits perfectly. I especially like that the sleeves are long enough and the hood is removable.

This jacket is the perfect jacket for cold weather when both snowy and rainy! The jacket's outer fabric repels water & the water simply rolls/bounces off when hits. Jacket is super comfortable & stylish as well. Keeps your entire torso and past your hips completely warm. I am very pleased with the fit of this jacket & would recommend it to anyone!

Finally XXL North Face for us curvy girls who appreciate style and warmth. Well constructed, soft feel, and great warranty. Runs only a bit small. Zipper takes some work.

I ordered 4 coats and this was the winner hands down. Nice matte finish, stylish shape, practical design, classic look. Most of all I love that it has buttons and a zipper. Would buy again.
