This TNF bag is very well thought out. convenient carry handles on each end and dual carry handle straps on the top plus backpack straps make this bag an easy bag to carry in a variety of ways, or when it is loaded in a pile of other luggage, the many grab points along with the bright orange canvas, make this bag easy to identify and grab, a no brainier for my next trip to Argentina. Daisy chains down each side plus compression straps which can be used for lashing external items to bag add to the convenience features of this bag. The access to inside is via D shaped zippered opening, which is plenty large enough for even your largest items. At just over $100 on sale I consider this bag a steal for the value.

Love the bag. It was a little bigger than I thought it was suppose to be.

Had bought one to use for camping. The family liked it so we bought more to equip each member. Great duffel with shoulder straps which are great for hiking into camp. The duffel is rubberized so mostly waterproof. It carries a lot of gear easily. The only issue I have, and it is a minor one, is the single zippered compartment is located on the lid of the duffel which can make the lid a little awkward at times. It would be nice to have one on the side or back of the unit. That said, I use the duffel regularly and love it.

My spouse and I got 2 of these many years ago and our son has started using them for camp and trips. He can identify the bag easily and all his gear, including bedding, for up to 5 days easily fits inside. In addition, he slings it on his back and carries it where he needs to go unlike other kids that end up with a suitcase and garbage bag or bedding. He now has his own bag and I get mine back! Highly recommend for any travel especially kids over 8.

I'm not going to pretend this is something that it's not. This is a cheap (pricewise) duffel bag. For the price, the quality is exceptional. That's why I gave it five stars. The bag is stylish, durable, has large capacity, has extra small pockets inside and can be carried as a book bag. For $100 plus, that's a good bargain. The material is also a waterproof type nylon. However, I would have gladly paid more for a better quality waterproof type nylon exterior material. I have only had this bag for 2 to 3 weeks and I am super careful with it because I like it so much, but the color on the exterior has already begun to scratch off. The book bag straps, while a nice thought, was very cheaply made. They probably used some of the cheapest, poor quality material I have ever seen. This is at least concerning north face products. The strap was bad because when you carry heavy things, the strap indents, and stays flat. Therefore, the cushion-like material was all used up. I only carried my swim, cycling and run gear in there. Lastly, the zipper broke off after my third use. I had to use some pliers to fix it. Please note, I am very delicate when handling this bag. Overall, for 100 some odd dollars, this bag is great. Keep in mind, some bags will cost well over $200 for the size.

Needed a bag to carry around to the pool, beach, market, hikes, etc. etc. I bought this not knowing it was also a backpack! HOW fun! It compressed 3 beach towels perfectly. The Navy/Orange is a nice color combination as well. My stuff has to be durable, functional, and attractive too.

This bag is great. I've been debating for some time on buying one of these, and when they went on sale, I jumped at the opportunity. I travel almost weekly for both business and pleasure, and often pack gear that can't fit in a conventional stiff suitcase. This bag is sturdy enough to hold up to a beating, but flexible enough to carry items of odd shapes and sizes. The straps are great--I wouldn't recommend this bag for backcountry packing, but it's comfortable enough to lug from the car to baggage claim/the door of a house/booth at a convention center. **Specific application comment: the dimensions of this bag are perfect for my dive gear. TL;DR: This is the absolute best bag ever. Unless you're the "packing a toothbrush only" type.

This bag is awesome for travel. It is easy to identify, can take a beating and it seems endless in the amount of stuff you can pack in there. I have it in 3 sizes and use it on all my trips.

Needed a bag for holding sports equipment that would be left out on the field. I was tired of always having to carry a black plastic garbage bag to rap my duffle. Saw another soccer player using this North Face product and decided to give it a try.

I've had the medium size of this duffel for almost a year - and have loved it - but the medium is too large as a carry on, so I bought the small for a recent trip and it's perfect: just right for carry on and/or trips of a week or less. Same great quality, features and comfort that you'd expect from The North Face.

We bought each of our kids ranging from age 10-22 a different color basecamp duffle bag for vacation this year. They were perfect and comfortable to throw on as a backpack to walk through the airport. I loved the design of this bag so much I bought myself one too!

Great duffel bag with lots of space for everything you need. Durable material, heavy locking zippers and a stylish camo pattern. The backpack straps make it comfortable and easy to haul around. Looking forward to using it for my week trip to California!

Great bag for the outdoors and for simple travel - should be able to check in. Durable and slightly heavy (approx 3lbs) to begin with for the medium. The bag can defiantly last a lifetime.

I was actually the gift giver in this situation. I bought it for my girlfriend, for her birthday. She had mentioned wanting one about six years ago and I am sure glad I was listening. Definitely earned some browny points! Anyway...she loves it. It fits all of her gear for mountain biking and I've never seen someone so excited about a weekend away for the sole reason of using her North Face Base Camp Duffle. Thanks North Face for making awesome gear and making me boyfriend of the year!

Overall, great bag?for 2-3 days. Holds a lot and you get used to only one pocket which is where the mini base camp duffels and bags come in handy.

Everyone in our family has one and it is our go-to graduation gift. We match the colors with the college they are attending.
