Great design that maximizes space, but the strap could be more comfortable.

Use it as my one year old daughter's main piece of luggage. I also have a medium size one that I use for myself and a large one that I just used on a family skiing trip. Awesome bags.

Great durable bag for weekend travel. I use when I travel with my school ball team for away games and it can take any and all abuse. Small enough to carry on while flying and durable enough to withstand the luggage handlers. Not to mention easy to spot on the carousel with all the black suitcases out there.

What a great bag. The bag physically does not feel large but once you open it and start putting things in you realize it can hold a lot! The fabric feels very durable, you can throw the bag around and not worry about it getting rips or tears. The zippers are high quality and will not cause any issues. The backpack straps are such a great feature, it is so easy to carry around with you. The bag has a great utilitarian value. It works for professional/business trips just as well as camping and hiking. The bag folds up very easily and can be stored neatly just about anywhere. I would recommend this bag to anyone!

Got this as a carry on bag for several trips I am taking. Used it from plane to train to bus to taxi and it was so easy to negotiate crowds and multiple forms of transit. Lightweight and easy. To top it all it holds a lot!

I loved having this bag for my two week trip to Japan. I shopped to find the best bag. After color and warranty were what one me over to try it out. I'm very happy with my purchase and will continue to choose Northface for future adventures!

Used this on a trip to Mt Shasta. Tossed all our snow gear in and headed out for the mountain. Made it super easy to find everything and we didn't have to worry about leaving anything behind because there was plenty of room for boots, jackets, pants, socks, gloves and more.

I you this bag for everything. The back pack strap are super convenient when I have to bring mine, the wife and 3 kids bag in and make it in one trip. We use them for travel, weekend trips and just about everything in between.

This is a fantastic duffel. Well constructed and built like a tank. I've already used it a few times and it worked just perfect for short trips and I'm looking forward to using it for camping. Don't think twice, this bag is great.

I love this bag, it is the perfect size and keeps everything organized. I often travel with my bags on a Thule rack and have traveled through storms all the while my belongings staying nice and dry in this bag. I would recommend it for anyone.

Excellent product. Used once for weekend travel to the beach so I can not attest to durability. However, everything I needed and more was able to fit. I received compliments from the people I was travelling with and they are even considering purchasing this bag.

Our family have used these duffels for years. Ours have been everywhere and carried all manner of clothes and equipment. We've had 3 for years and I just bought 3 more for general use. Do yourselves a favor and buy one, get a large to start with. I doubt you will be disappointed.

Very durable, held everything I needed! Love all of the handles and straps- makes it easy to carry in any situation.

I'm usually a minimalist. But there are a few adventures left in the world where light is too light. When your bag has to be tied to a yak for a few days or dragged out of a huge pile of gear on the airport tarmac, something like this duffel -- tough, durable, heavy, nearly indistructable -- is the only thing that is likely to survive without a split seam or rip. I've owned the old and new designs and -- to join in the current debate -- I like the new one better. Those carry handles in the old version? Perfect for hitting you in the back in backpack mode. But how can you haul the new version by hand? Use the handles on the side. They work better because the whole bag is closer to your body in that orientation. To each his own, but to me new is an improvement. Are they perfect? Nope. They're not fully waterproof. Put everything inside in dry bags or trash-compactor bags to be safe. And the compression straps can get caught in airport conveyor belts. Tie them up and out of the way. And since they are somewhat cylindrical they can sometimes roll around a bit in the back of the car (squarer is better there). But they are still tougher than anything else out there. They'll hold most any weight (maybe more than you can carry easily) without splitting. And the smallest two sizes are great carry-on. They've been tested for decades. They pass the test.

I use the product for weekend traveling.

No one ever said when they're coming home from a trip, "I wish I brought more stuff!" My wife and I both bought a Base Camp Duffel in the small size to be used on our 2 week trip to Greece. Combining this duffel with packing cubes you'll be amazed with how much space it has! We were able to each bring the duffels on as carry-on luggage on United, Lufthansa, and Aegean at different parts of our trip but knew they were tough enough to check if needed! Highly recommend.

I use the product on weeklong and weekend adventures and it holds up well. I know my belongings are safe and secure in the bag.
