I spent a considerable amount of time researching available carry on luggage since I travel a lot for both for business and pleasure. I wanted a product that was durable, maximum legal size for a carry on (I don't like to check baggage and live out of my carry on for days at a time) and that "made a statement (looked good). The rolling Thunder is a home run. Purchased one for my wife for Mother's Day she was ecstatic! Replaced our existing leather high end bags (which had served us well for years) with the Rolling Thunder which is much lighter, easier to navigate with and expect to be using our new bags for a long time because of the excellent construction.

This is the perfect ski bag. I utilize it for all my equipment. I can't think of a better product. Very happy with the look, feel and quality of said item.

I travel for a living. It was obvious, in my first year of travel, that the average piece of luggage is designed for a few trips per year. I went through every piece of luggage that I owned, in the first year. I've been using the 19" version, for 6 years, now. It's getting a little frayed, and has a few small tears, but is still fine. I'm retiring it to the vacation luggage. I've replaced that, and bought this size, as well. My favorite feature of this carry on, are the red wheels. I always know that it's my bag, in the sea of black carry ons!

I purchased the Rolling Thunder - 22" to replace a roller-bag that was of similar dimensions but eventually wore out after several years of air travel duty. Well designed, sturdy construction and high quality manufacturing are what come to mind when every I am using this bag. This is great looking and functional bag, has everything that you would expect. Worth the money, well you probably can spend less and get a bag that will do everything that this will, however it is The North Face...
I also have, the Rolling Thunder - 36" and the Rolling Thunder - 30". I have used the 36" and 30" for the past several months and they both holding up very well. leather will get a bit scuffed-up when used for air travel but currently after traveling 4-5 times per month the 30" is holding up real well, just starting to look like it is "broke-in".

I bought this for my husband as a birthday gift and have been looking for a new suitcase for a while. His previous suitcase had been put through the ringer but was so familiar and the perfect size that he hated parting with it. The North Face bag is big enough for all of his clothing/shoes and very heavy duty. The first thing we noticed was how heavy duty the zippers were and how thick the material on the soft side was. We've used it twice so far and haven't had any issues even though the airlines tend to be pretty hard on luggage.

I use this product for travel purposes only either flying or driving which I do alot of both. I plan on getting the luggage size bags because of this carry on bag. If your looking for a reliable bag look no further this is the bag for you.

Tough, balanced, good looking and easy to roll. Lots of people ask about the X-ray design.

Perfect size, carried everything needed for a week in Mexico away from the tourists. Weathered the baggage handlers at O'Hare, easy to roll, easy to find at baggage claim, well balanced even when loaded.

After nearly 30 years my Mil-Spec Boyt Duffel finally has given out so I went for the Rolling Thunder 36'. It was/is the perfect choice for a 10 day vacation. Sturdy, easy to care for, lots of storage space, maneuverable. Just wish it came in X-ray.

Excellent quality, it fits a lot more stuff than you think, and it is very easy to roll. I like the separate compartment, that you can use to put shoes or dirty clothes, to separate from the main compartment. I'd suggest to have the zipper that you can also put a lock on for this separate compartment, similar to the zipper on the main compartment. I would definitely buy again.

I can literally take this on a trip M-F and have enough space for my ditty bag. I didn't think it was bigger than the one I had but it truly is and I love it. I actually took my old carry-on to the store to compare the two. If you can afford TNF. It's well worth the extra money. They make a quality product that you don't need to worry because they stand by their product.

What separates these rolling bags from the rest is the covered wheels, they're protected and won't snap off when baggage handlers or Sherpas are throwing them.

I use this bag to store my skydiving gear. Love how it has an internal strap to tie down my rig during transport. Has the outside compartment which fits my lid perfect. Lots of zippered pockets also on the interior and exterior that hold all my misc items. I picked this over an OGIO rig bag because of the looks and size. 34-36" would be just too much for me.

I got this bag for Xmas and had to buy my boyfriend one for valentines day! We just used both of the first time. Amazing easy to wheel, so much room and so many different compartments to separate items. Absolutely love this bag!

I got this as a Christmas present and it's the best gift I've gotten in a while. Lots of room and separating pockets. I've taken it on 10 round trips so far and the baggage handlers have yet to even phase it. Best of all it sat out in a rain storm and nothing was even remotely damp

I purchased both the 22" and the 36" Rolling Thunder prior to my last ski trip to Vail. Both bags were wonderful. It is amazing how much stuff you can get into these bags. The 36" bag does not have an extendable handle like the smaller one does. No problem to pull it with the sewn in handle but I probably would have prefered the extendable one.

I purchased both the Rolling Thunder - 22" and the 36" prior to my last ski trip. Both bags are durable and it is amazing how much ski gear and clothing you can get inside of them. The 22" ski bag was approximately 1" too long to place in the overhead bin of a 757 so that someone could place a bag next to you. (The bad still fits in the bin after you turn it the other direction). I would definately purchase again.

I bought this for ski trips and it is perfect. I liked it so much I bought the 19 and 22 inch wheeled duffle. It looks and works better then the patagonia.
