It holds everything I need for a two week trip, love the roominess, but the top flops closed when loaded, almost needs a support brace so that it quits flopping closed when trying to pack the remainder of the bag. Other hen that I love it!!

Im 24 and travel alot for work on the weekends. I wanted to upgrade my carry on bag and came across the Rolling Thunder. What really sold me on this bag was the lifetime warranty and all the other great reviews I have read. This bag is everything and more! It looks amazing and already have got so many compliments from my coworkers and random people at the airport. It fit everything I needed for my weekend in Vancouver and I still had additional space! Cant wait to use this bag more!

First Rolling Thunder was used for travel. Has been on many flights. Has held up better than ever expected. Has been beat up extensively during travels. Still everything on the bag works like new.
Only problem an reason for buying a new one was the handle has become very loose when extended. Cannot figure out how to fix.

This is by far the best piece of luggage I've ever owned. I have a pretty large family and all my children are small and on a trip to the Caribbean I was able to strap three of these together and pulled in myself with no problem. They were extremely smoothly and have a system to strap them together. The handles are incredibly durable and rigid and the overall build quality is second to none. The roller Wheels spin extremely smoothly so pulling them is effortless. The size of this 30 inch bag is perfect and I'm always amazed how much can fit in there! I can pack it to the max and it never goes over the 50 pound weight limit. Some interviews have complained that the bag was Heavy to begin with and I strongly disagree. It is extremely light. Because it is a duffel design bag you can pack as much or as little in there as you want and use the straps on the top to pull it tight. So even if you only pack the bag half full you can pull the straps tight and everything stays in its place and arrives exactly the way I packed it. It's such a wonderful design. The smaller 22" carry-on size bags are also awesome and fit perfectly on every plane I've ever tried to put them on. You are paying more for a bag of this quality but you will not regret it!

I was looking for a rugged luggage piece that would fit some of the more stringent carry-on sizing (e.g. Delta), but tough enough to be ready for checking too. I have a North Face duffle and love how tough it is, but I am a small person and wanted to upgrade to something with wheels for easier travel. This bag fit the bill perfectly. I am very wary of trusting the sizing on websites, as many of them do not include the wheels or handle. This causes huge problems when choosing baggage to fit the carry-on requirements of airlines. I took this bag to my local airport and put it in the carry-on luggage sizer for Delta airlines; at 22"x14"x9" it is one of the smaller carry-on requirements. The 22" Rolling Thunder I ordered fit perfectly; it was snug, but within the required size.
I have not taken the bag on travel yet, however I feel confident that the wheels and handle are sturdy and well-build. In a bag of similar size, I usually fit a weeks' worth of clothing for conferences/business trips, but it could extend to 10 days with conservative packing choices. Looking forward to many happy trips with this bag.

Spent a while researching good, carry on compatible roller bags. Seemed like the Rolling Thunder was a good bet. Well so far I think the bet has paid off. Its light weight, yet durable. Unlike previous Roller bags that have imploded after one trip of airline handling the bag has held its own. On top of that as a pilot this bag is great as it fits in aircraft smaller baggage compartments, and military aircraft travel pods really well even when full.

We travel a lot and broke the wheel on another bag. There was no way of replacing it so we started shopping around for a new bag. We have a lot of TNF products so investigated this one. It's well built and very practical. There is also a lifetime guarantee on the wheels and they will be replaced for free if ever break. We travelled with this bag and had no issues whatsoever. It held a lot of stuff, was easy to haul around. The price is reasonable given this is the last bag we will ever need. Would recommend +++

For the last 10+ years I have been using a Victorinox wheeled duffel, which I thought was a pretty good bag. When it came time to replace it, I took the time to do some shopping and I am very happy that I decided on this NorthFace wheeled duffel bag. The NF and the Victorinox were about the same price, but this bag is far superior. This bag is SOLID. It feels solid when it's loaded up with 80 pounds of stuff and the rolls smooth. Before I purchased it, I didn't fully appreciate the straps on the inside and the outside. This bag is big... you can get a lot of your stuff in here and use those straps on to tie tie it down and keep it from moving around and shifting inside. The internal and the external straps rock.
The handle comes up smooth and is very sturdy. I didn't fully appreciate just how solid the handle was until it was loaded down. It feels more like moving a steel dolly than a piece of luggage.
The casters and the wheels glide over everything. They aren't cheap and they aren't going to break down on your first trip. They are nice.
The fabric is tough and water repellent, the zippers are strong, the lifting handles on the sides are well constructed and the extra pockets on the top and inside are nice bonus.
If you're looking for a solid wheeled duffel to carry all your gear, look no further.

Took this bag on a 10-day bicycle trip through Glacier Natl Park and Canada. I rode everyday and tour company hauled stuff for us. I had EVERYTHING I could possible need in this bag!! 4 complete cycling kits, cold weather/rain gear, small bike pump and repair tools, my portable espresso maker(critical importance!!), laptop, iPad, GoPro stuff, charging cable for everything, casual clothes, running clothes, hiking boots, small foam roller, nutrition/snacks, etc!! I was so prepared it was insane!! Bag weighed 55 lbs to and from, but still easy to haul around because wheels are really durable. Can't wait to take it on a big ski trip this winter!!

Top quality construction. Built to last. Looks great and is easily identifiable on luggage carousels at airports. A little heavy so I don't think I will purchase the 36" model as that would put me overweight at airlines too easily.

I use this bag for travel (checked baggage). The size is perfect for four or five day trips. Well-made and sturdy (will be difficult for the airlines to destroy)

This is my second RolllingThunder bag. I absolutely loved my first one because it could hold EVERYTHING I needed for my weekend jaunts to NYC and my vacations to Europe in the summer along with one other large suitcase. Unfortunately while moving my first Rolling Thunder was "misplaced" and I was devastated. When I realized what had happened to my wonderful side kick for travel, I ordered up a new one immediately for my trip to Europe and Africa. It is the best bag ever and I could never see me having anything but the Rolling Thunder to get me through an airport.
Seriously you will NEED this bag once you have it in your hand.

I travel roughly two round trips per month for work plus about four vacations annually and this bag comes with me every time. I purchased it two years ago and it is still running strong with no defects. The bag looks great in black and I get lots of compliments and questions about it frequently.

I was gifted the larger bag a few years and and fell in love with it. The smaller rolling thunder is just as great, but again perfect for a weekend trip or a carry on bag!

The quality of this bag is top-notch, which it should due to the price. The price is definitely worth it though. Although it is a little heavy, the bag is not only stylish but also tough and spacious. I love the interior as well as numerous pockets.
