I just got these boots and so far they are great. I did buy the wide size as I have arthritis and I have a hard time finding boots and shoes that don't irriate the joint. I put these on out of the box and I can tell they will be a good fit. I will post another review once I wear them outside and see how they are in the snow.

So disappointed that these were too small. I always wear the same size in all shoes, boots, sandles. So it was not my foot but the manufactures sizing. These are really cute but they had sold out of the next size up. So I couldnt exchange like I wanted to.

I can't tell you how long I looked for boots that would be warm, stylish, easy-on-and-off and would provide great traction in slippery, snowy conditions. I found them! These Ice Maiden II boots are cute (I always get compliments) and offer plenty of room for thick socks. I used to wear only pull-on boots because I thought laces would be a pain, but these laces tie as quick as a zipper. And unlaced, they laces don't dangle so I can shove my feet into them and run out back with the dog for five minutes without even bothering to tie them. The one criticism (I wish they'd let me give 4 1/2 stars!) is that the lining is a bit thin. That's good if you're wearing thick socks, but with thinner socks it feels a little un-cushioned. Other than that, I love these boots!

I bought these boots just in time for a heavy wet snow, and subsequent cold snap. I walked through deep, slushy puddles and my feet stayed dry. The boots kept my feet fairly warm in very cold weather. They fit true to size (I bought up a 1/2 size to allow for heavy socks) and are comfortable. They feel substantial but have a slim profile. Easy to put on and take off. I definitely recommend.

I was looking for a sturdy, warm snow boot with a little more style than my 20 year old Sorel's. The Ice Maiden boot had many good reviews. It is water proof with a roomy toe box. The boots are comfortable and good for shoveling snow and walking in heavy snowfall. They are not quite as warm as I was hoping but allow for a heavy sock or two. They are lightweight and I like the design.

First I would say that the marketing name of these boots is misleading. To me, "Ice Maiden" would imply that the boots have some kind of exceptional traction on ice. They DO NOT. The large cleats do provide good traction in the snow. To provide better than average traction on ice, sipes would have to be added similar to those on the soles of boat shoes.
Secondly, the toe box area of boots is tight. This is becoming a recurring theme with shoes that are produced overseas. I purposely ordered a 11W boot as opposed to my usual 10M size to try to avoid a tight boot but it is still somewhat tight. If I wear thin socks or go barefoot the toe box size is acceptable. Thick socks, forget about it. The toe box area needs to be 1/8 inch wider and 1/8 inch higher.
In conclusion, if I wear thin socks or none at all, the boots are very warm, somewhat comfortable and nice looking. I did add a set of elastic laces which makes getting the boots on and off a breeze.

Have really liked these boots. My feet can be quite problematic... big, wide, bunions (you get the picture) ?. The size /width feels a bit big, but leaves room for a medium/ heavier sock. Warm, dry, and comfortable. Happy I made the purchase.

Very warm but run pretty big. Keep my feet dry even in multiple inches of snow

I'm fairly satisfied with these boots. I like the style, and they're roomy enough for my wide feet. I haven't worn them in a wet situation yet, so I can't comment on whether they're really waterproof. My only complaint is that there's really no arch support.

They fit pretty well, I wasn't sure which wider width I needed, but I seem to have guessed correctly. What lowered my comfort score (and this may not be true for everyone) is a support piece on the side of the heel that rubs just below my ankle & gave me a blister. They're really warm, so you probably won't need extra thick socks. Treads are good, so I think they'll be great in snow. Otherwise, I just wish they had an option 2x the height in case of heavy snow.

I love the feel of this boot. It's comfortable and very stylish. I did size up 1/2 size to allow for heavier socks as suggested. THe fit was actuall y pretty good except for my right foot. My right foot has a bunion and the boot would rub that spot as I walked. That was just around the house so I can imagine it would be worse walking farther outside. For that reason I regret to say will be returning these boots.

Great boot, ordered 1/2 size up to accommodate thick socks but ok with none. Sole is hard but best needed for walking on hard snow. Great buy for the money!

This is my first time trying a product by Columbia and I am very satisfied. These boots are well made, fit well, and very attractive. And they feel like they will keep my feet very warm this winter. I ordered the Cordovan/Siberia color and if you do, too, and are expecting the Burgandy color of cordovan-well, these are a very attractive shade of dark chocolate!

I love these boots, but they are too substantial for me. I really wanted a light weight water boot, because I live in Vegas and we rarely have snow, except when we go skiing. Also, VERY sadly my size 11 boots are too short and I don't want to go up a size. The boots are big and a bigger size would make it a HUGE boot. So sadly they are going back and I will continue looking for the right boot for me. Also, they are very stiff.

Stylish for sure. The heel and sole however are too stiff for a normal walking pattern for me. Will return and keep searching.

Bought these for my 9 year old who has large, wide feet. It's so hard to find her shoes! After trying numerous others that just didn't work, either too narrow in the toe box or had some other uncomfortable piece, we splurged and ordered these in 7W. My daughter loves them and has been wearing them often for our rainy PNW winter walks around the neighborhood. Excited to see how they eventually do in the snow.

Bought these for function, not style (although they are stylish enough in a "sporty" way!) These super-comfy and warm boots felt true-to-size and width from the moment I put them on. Arch support appears to be decent. The cushioned insole really helps return energy as you step! Haven't worn them out in wet/bad weather yet, but I have no reason to believe they will not be waterproof. So far, I am very happy with these boots!

Great looking boot. It is incredibly roomy with plenty of room in the toe area. They are comfortable to walk in and do not rub against the heel, ankle, etc. I’m not sure how these are waterproof as the fabric seems as though it could allow water to penetrate. Guess I shall see this week during our first snowfall. They definitely do not keep feet warm. Perhaps it is because there is so much room in the boot but they definitely do not keep my feet warm.

Hi, I wear a 8 wide and have a very high in-step (high arch). It's impossible to buy shoes and not have my feet hurt. In sneakers and boots I buy a 8.5 wide. I orig bought the Propet Ingrid in a 8 1/2 wide, but my big toe almost touched the tip of the boot and it was HARD, not give and to walk, you would have to march, so I Returned them and wanted to re-order a 9, but not available. I switched snow boots and bought the Columbia in a 9 wide. They fit good, comfy. I would say a tiny bit too long for me, but I am keeping them, they don't cause a problem walking or tripping, and right now, I do feel a tiny bit of slipping in the heal, so will walk around at home, before I make a decision. I am a fluffy chick with wide calves. These are not tall, so I can wear them. They are really cute! Look good on.

Shoes fit perfectly. My only complaint is that they could be a little more cushioned in the foot bed.

Sadly, these are being returned. Even with thin socks, these boots were entirely too tight across the foot.

I got these boots because I wanted a boot without a pronounced heel for greater stability when I'm hauling wood ground or doing other chores over over uneven. As a 70+ person with arthritis and Raynaud's Syndrome, stability is important to me. These boots provide that that. But unlike my Bean boots of the same size (6.5 W), the toe box is less roomy. And because it is restricted by a hard, waterproof end-piece, I doubt it will stretch much with wear. That means that if I wear these boots with the same heavy socks I sometimes wear with my Bean boots when it gets really cold, my toes get squished. This really hurts. But then again, the Columbia boots didn't cost as much, they are comfortable with thinner socks, and they do have that less pronounced heel.
