I ordered these and the mid ommi at the same time both in size 8, these felt much bigger than the others which really is strange since they are the same style with different shank heights. I sent these back since they were too big and kept the taller ones.

These are very comfortable, and seem to run true to size. I normally wear an 8.5 and in some shoes a 9. I ordered these in 9, and they fit well. Not a lot of extra room, and with a thick sock they might be a little tight. Although they are rated for -25 below, there's no way they will live up to that claim. I live in Wisconsin, last night we had rain that turned to ice then to snow. Thees boots arrived yesterday, coincidentally. I wore them to work this morning. They have good traction (I walk up a hill about 1,000 feet every day. But my toes were feeling the cold, And the temp this morning is about 20, with a wind chill it feels like 8. The sole feels a little thin too. Overall very comfortable, just don't think you're getting a superwarm below zero warmth boot. I like that they're short with lace ties, although i just slipped them on this morning and they are fine. Good for running errands on the weekend, which is what I bought them for.

These are super cute and comfortable (now). I normally wear a size 8 in most kinds of shoes, and based on reviews, bought my size 8 as usual. The fit was nice, with a bit of wiggle room all around the toe box. Perfect for wearing thick winter socks. I got these for a pair of cute, mostly waterproof, cold/wet/rainy/snow boot. They fit the bill nicely. They're not too warm, just right. Now for the warning: these boots come with a memory foam insole that is very squishy and comfortable, at first. You slip into these babies and think, ah...soft...cushy. But then you start walking around in them and realize fairly quickly that there is no structured support for your heal, side of foot and arch. Just a soft, squishy pillow on the entire bottom of your foot. Sounds like it should be nice, but I removed the insoles, placed them on the floor and stepped on them only to see my entire ankle slide down, toward the inside of my foot as a result of absolutely no support for my arches are the sides of my feet. They just kind of collapsed. Because these were so cute, cuddly and comfortable, I decided to purchase a pair of Dr. Scholl's Custom Fit insoles, swapped the original insoles out with them and have been wearing these cuties happily ever since. There seems to be even more room now that I've removed the pillows, so if you choose to do this, you may want to go a half size down, otherwise, like mine, they may fit a bit big. It pushed the price of these babies up to a level I'm not overly comfortable with, but for the cuteness and all weather wear that I know I'll get out of these, it was money well spent.

I really wanted to love this boot. It fit my foot well and it was warm. But when I walked, it made my foot roll inward and made for a very uncomfortable and unnatural walking experience. Really disappointed and had to return. I bought a boot by Sorel and am really liking it.

I sent these back because I ordered my usual size and they ran to small. The color makes them look like they have two tones but they were all black when I received them.

I wear a size 8 1/2 W so I bought a 9 1/2 thinking the width would be okay because I went up a whole size. Well, one boot is too tight. I hope these will stretch out.

Very cute boots — great range of textures/fabric, and monochromatic colors with a nice touch of faux fur — but a bit narrow for my wider foot and it felt like there was practically no arch support. It feels a bit flimsy if you are looking for a winter boot that has some support. But it looks like it could be nice and warm. (I only tried them on around the house). Also, I wasn't crazy about the faux suede either since it could be hard to maintain especially when you live in an area where salt is spread everywhere during the heart of winter. I could imagine salt stains which are hard to remove.

I really wanted to love these boots because they are super cute and exactly what I was looking for as an alternative to my heavy winter boots. I fall between a 7/7.5 so ordered the 7.5. They were super snug with thin socks and I could feel my toes hitting the end of the boot. I exchanged for a size 8 and those were too large. My heel was slipping around and my ankle and arch felt unsupported. I wore them at a parade where we were walking around outside for about an hour and it was about 20 degrees and my feet were KILLING me and freezing, even with thick wool socks. Sadly returning and continuing my hunt for warm, ankle-length boots.

I wanted to love these boots. My feet are rather narrow with high arches and these boots felt very comfortable and have a nice thick insole. However, I wore these boots snowshoeing and my feet froze after about 15 minutes in 10° weather. Columbia rates them to -25° but I can tell you these are not meant for snow activities. I love the style of these and if you are just looking for some cute boots to keep you warm and dry around town these will definitely fit the bill. Zappos was excellent and allowed me to make a return even though I wore them snowshoeing.

I normally wear a shoe size 8, sometimes 7½. I saw the advice about ordering up a size, but had never ordered a 9, so I tried both an 8½ and a 9. Sure, enough, the 8½ was way too small. However, one of the size 9 boots was very badly made. It looked all distorted across the top of the front and the center of the sole came up half an inch from the center of the boot. I do not know how this got by quality control at Columbia! The insole provides the only elevation in the heel but not much arch support. This may be because the boot is so soft; my ankles just rolled inward.

I really liked the look of these boots, but very unfortunately they fit SMALL! I always wear the same size, so being puzzled I went to the Columbia store in Chicago, & they told me "yes, our current boot collection fits a bit smaller." Why? Ridiculous.

I like the looks of the boot (elk/red) and they are really comfy. I usually wear a 7 in shoes but needed to go up to a 7.5 to get the needed sock room. I have worn them multiple times just walking in snow (maybe 4" deep max) and my feet freeze. They seem waterproof but not warm at all. I'll use them for spring/fall rain/wet but sure don't cut it for warmth. When I need to walk around in minimal snow and need warmth...I have to go back to my Uggs which I wear without socks. Much warmer than these with SmartWool socks!

I bought these shoes specifically for a trip to Whistler, BC. I should have known that the price was too good to be true. The shoes were extremely comfortable and very fashionable, but my feet toes still got cold even with thick layered socks (it was about 20 degrees fahrenheit). I could also feel them getting damp when trudging around in the snow... These shoes are not meant for a snow storm or super freezing weather, although they claim that they will stay warm in -32degree F weather... LIES! But they did serve their purpose where it could have been much worse.

I ordered these boots because I really wanted to short pair of boots for winter. I've never had a pair of Columbia boots so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, these boots didn't really live up to my expectations. First off, they aren't feminine at all. Seeing as I bought them primarily for winter I can get past that though. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't order them. I'd go with a different pair or maybe even a different brand altogether. The fit is okay. They aren't the most comfortable boots but are roomy enough to wear a thick pair of socks or even two pairs. I wore the boots once in the rain and they kept my feet warm and dry. But when I wore them in the snow I was disappointed. My feet got cold less than 10 minutes after stepping outside. The boots got soaked pretty quickly as I navigated the snowy Chicago weather. The snow and ice didn't penetrate the boot but you could tell that the boot was wet and my feet did get cold. I only had on one pair of athletic socks at the time so I'm guessing my feet will feel warmer if I wear a wool sock.

I really wanted to like these! The insole has no arch support - it is exactly as thick on the inside and outside of the foot. I usually replace such insoles with an orthotic that provides arch support. However, in this boot, all the heel elevation is in the insole, not in the boot itself, so that was not possible.

I loved this boot - so cute and super warm - a must as I live in Alaska. I could even slip it on! Alas, I had the pronating problem other reviewers have mentioned. I was basically knock kneed. I even tried using an arch support and it helped a little but not enough. There was also an uncomfortable bump under the wide part of my larger foot- I have wide feet- perhaps the edge of the foot bed? Perhaps if you had narrow feet these would work. Unfortunately they are going back.

I really wanted to like these! The right foot felt like the heel was much lower than the toes. I tried my own orthos in them, and they did not feel right either. I did like that they were very toasty - but they went back.

The boots are very comfy and warm. Unfortunately I needed waterproof, comfy, and warm. The boot said waterproof in big letters not only on the tag, but on the non waterproof material on the heal. I should have noticed that there was no way suede could be waterproof. Whats the point of waterproofing the top of a boot, but not the bottom?? On top of that, the laces were really bad quality so I took them out and replaced them with paracord. Only after I replaced the laces did I remember that I could have returned the boots even after owning them for a few months. Now i'm not entirely sure if I can return them. Needless to say, unfortunately I do regret the purchase

These boots are super cute and stylish. I, however, would not recommend them for even a light snowfall or cold, wintry weather. This morning we received 2 inches of snow and I wore these outside to clean off my car. By the time I was back inside my sock was completely soaked through and my feet were wet and cold. I bought these since I own the taller version of the boot (which are great) but wanted something shorter for lighter snowfalls or just colder days. Unfortunately, these boots are not waterproof as evidenced by my soaking wet socks. I also don't find them as comfortable as the taller version and they don't keep my feet warm in the cold weather. Unfortunately, I would not recommend these for temps below 40F or any type of precipitation.

While I liked these boots a lot, I am finding they did not hold up well. I have had them for just a year, and the sole near the heal has worn through and they are leaking through the seam by the toe. It is particularly frustrating because I don't think I wore them terribly much, and it seems like a boot should last more than one winter.

Its hard to recommend a product that is too small to wear. Since I normally wear a size 8 1/2 shoe, I ordered a size 9 boot. I had one pair of thin socks on & they were just too small so I can't wear them. I was very disappointed because I thought I would love these boots. Instead of returning, (you no longer have my size), I am going to find some one I can give them to because I still think they are a great product.

Unfortunately the previous reviews were correct about these boots running very small. I am a standard size 12M and they were way too tight in the toes, but ok on the width when wearing a pair of winter socks.

I have purchased Columbia products in the past and have always been satisfied, but this was one product that did not live up to the Columbia name. First I will begin with the pros of this product. When first trying these boots on in the store, I was sold by the comfort level. They did not feel cumbersome or clunky to walk in as some winter boots do. Rather, they had a cushiony feel to them. This comfort remained even as I wore them and worked in them throughout the day. Comfort is important, but I needed a boot that was going to keep me warm and dry. The tag on the boot said they were waterproof but I found this to be completely inaccurate. I spend a good part of my day going in and outside, but after only about 1/2 hour of being outside I found my feet would start to get wet. By the end of the day my feet were freezing (from being wet) and I could wring some water out of my socks. Even after adding an additional pair of socks my feet would end up wet. It was almost as if water was coming through the bottom of the boot. Now this is not from standing in or even walking through puddles. It was simply walking on mostly packed snow and some lighter snow. I think these boots definitely would have kept my feet warm if they had actually been waterproof as they claimed. These boots look great sitting in my closet, but they won't get much use as long as there is snow on the ground. Very disappointed.

They look cute and keep my feet warm. The problem I have with them is that they make my feet and ankles roll inward. I cannot wear them for a long period of time because they make my feet and ankles hurt. They are okay to wear for short amount of time while playing with my son in the backyard. I don't even like to wear them to the grocery store because my feet hurt after shopping.
