I bought this to wear in late Spring and early Fall when it's rainy and the temp is in the 40s here in Boston. This coat is perfect for that. You can comfortably wear a lightweight sweater underneath. The cut is flattering and the green color is nicer in person than online. It would be great if the hood provided a bit more coverage in front, but it's fine. Just returned from a business trip to Seattle where the coat was perfect.

This coat is very flattering; it perfectly contours your body. It was made with addition to detail: nice stitching, sewed-in cuffs, extra lining in the neck area. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because it is not as warm as I expected it to be. It works fine for walking from a parking lot to a building, but for long walks with the dogs, I put on a couple of extra layers underneath to keep me comfortable.

Finally. After trying quite a few options, this is the coat I have kept. It is very comfortable, stylish, hopefully warm enough and rain proof enough for our Portland, Oregon climate. The only drawback is that (like another reviewer noted) it is not very roomy in the chest area. I am 5'3", 165 lbs. and had to order the XL to accommodate my 38C chest. Size L fit everywhere else but was smashing me down and not flattering or comfortable in the chest area. Over all, I love this coat!

This is great coat and worth the price. I think it has high quality construction. Nice styling so it looks great and feels awesome. It's lined, has a 2 way zip and extra fabric at cuffs and neck to keep out drafts. Shout out to bike commuters = this great coat for people who bike - the articulated arms give tons of forward motion freedom so when on the bike you don't feel any pulling on the sleeves. Great Job ARc'Terx!

Loved this coat! But it isn't cut for women with a bust. I am straight size 10 almost across the board regardless of the manufacturer, but I couldn't even zip up the medium. It was so narrow in the chest.

Very comfortable and warm. It has kept me warm on cold morning dog walks (15 degrees) but not over heated with afternoon outdoor activities.

My wife LOVES this coat. She wouldn't change a thing about. Very warm into the 20's if used with another layer and provides good weather resistance on top of that.

Boy it took me forever to find the right jacket. I live in CA but visit NYC frequently, so it was hard to test whether this would be warm enough. I really wanted something different than the puffy coats you see everywhere, but I needed it to be warm. It’s an awesome slender fit and it’s perfectly warm for my 35 degree visit. Too bad they didn’t make other colors; it too me awhile to accept that and appreciate it’s just neutral - it is a pretty gray. I didn’t want to spend this much money but it’s worth it. It’s such a great fit.

Great coat! I'd say it's medium weight - I have a different super puffy down parka for really cold days here in the mountains. But this is perfect for slightly warmer winter and fall days when I still want to cover my rear, but don't need something quite so burly. I'm 5'8, 135 lbs, broad shoulders and small chest and the M fits me great.

The Darrah Coat is my favorite! The length keeps my bottom nice and warm, and the water repellent material is a lifesaver. It comes in a little at the waist so I don't look like a puffy marshmallow, I actually look cute! This is my go-to coat all winter long (and I live in Northern Wisconsin. Brr!).

Perfect for all temps 40-60. Very lightweight yet warm. Beautiful a-line cut. Cut best for someone taller than 5'4" (my height) b/c there is room for a longer torso than mine.

I've had this coat for a year now, and I'm really happy with it. I expect it will last me a long time too! I'm in the PNW, where it rarely reaches below freezing, but is cold and damp nonetheless. This keeps me warm and dry during the colder/wetter months: December-March. It's got a nice tailored fit and looks flattering, yet is comfortable and I find I can still move around quite easily in it. Very glad I bought this coat! Arcteryx is on the pricey side, but the gear is always top-notch.

This is a great coat for when you don't quite need a heavy parka, but still want coverage for your upper thighs and rear. I wanted something that would be long and lightweight but also warm enough to wear in early and late Chicago winters; the Darrah Coat fits that perfectly.

Beautiful coat but the small was way, way too small (5'5", 118 lbs)...sadly - it has to go back.

This coat is warmer than I thought, the fit is true. It has a nice feminine cut that I can wear casual or to work. Also works well with layering.

My previous fall coat in the south was a North Face Denali. In Iowa, it can get down to ~20 degrees in "fall" with an even lower windchill, so I needed something for when when it was too cold for a fleece, but too warm to break out my shin length down coat. This jacket is perfect. Its very warm, but is also plenty breathable. I wear it from ~20 - ~50 degrees F and have no problems. I also wanted something longer (below my hip) and wind resistant as I have a walking commute and those features make all the difference. I love how good this coat looks (the fit is very flattering without being restrictive), I don't feel weird wearing it over dress clothes and how comfortable it is. The lining is soft, the fabric doesn't cut into my underarms, I can move easily, and I don't have to worry about hair infiltrating the fabric making it hard to clean.

If you're going to be hiking across a lava field in Iceland in January, heading into the wind, with the temperatures around -9F, this is the coat you want. it kept me comfortably warm and dry, and was loose enough I could easily clamber over rocks and climb up hills. Also great to wear out in Reykjavik for a night of smoked arctic char with shots of acquvit. I would marry this coat.

This is a great cozy fall coat -- I think I've been wearing this every day since I bought it! I have the Carbon Copy in size Medium and feel that it is true to size. Because the insulation is not bulky the coat is very flattering, even when layered over a thicker sweater or hoody. It kept me warm and dry when I was caught in a couple of heavy Vancouver rainstorms. Because the outer fabric is only water repellent, it did get a bit damp after long, rainy walks... however, the fabric dried very quickly so the coat never felt heavy/cold. One detail I really appreciate is the stretchy cuff inside of the sleeve as it keeps out a lot of the chill. There's also a soft panel inside the collar which stops the wind from creeping in from the top of the coat (what a great detail!). I would definitely recommend this coat for anyone looking for a slim, light, and super warm fall coat.
