This jacket was warmer than I expected! I found myself extremely warm in this jacket. Fit is true to size. I wear a mid layer and I'm good for -10C (haven't tried anything colder than that yet!) I love how the hood fits - not too big to cover your view and not too small so that you feel like its too tight. The zipper is not as bad as other reviews say it is. Very similar to all double zipper functions- you need to clip it in before sliding it up. The side pockets are deep enough and lined with a comfortable soft fleece-like material. The inner pocket is big enough to fit a phone with plenty of space to share. The only odd feature is that when I have my phone in the side pocket, it is a bit more difficult to sit down and you need to maneuver the phone so it doesn't jab into your body. Was initially skeptical of this jacket's functionality since it seemed really thin but this is becoming my go-to winter jacket to wear around town. It blocks wind well and is able to retain my body heat for warmth.

I wanted down; I wanted style more. HFS, this coat is deceptively warm for the weight. Stylin. Get it.

This is a really great casual piece by Arc'teryx. It is super soft and warm - it feels like you're in a sleeping bag! The fit is flattering (defined waist) and with the bottom zipper it doesn't feel constricting (when you're driving, etc). I bought it in utility green and it's really nice - almost like a heathered green with a pop of color in the hood. Since it's only water repellant, it's kind of hard to wear in Vancouver since it seems to rain all the time but I have worn it out on drizzly days with no problems, but it would be ideal for cold dry winter days. That's the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five - I wish it was fully waterproof so I could wear it all the time in the winter. All my team members own one and I can't wait to buy one for my mom for Christmas!

Would be 5 star if not for the zipper. I bought this for my wife to replace her peacoat during the cold season. She has been wearing it for a few weeks now and loves the fact that it looks good anywhere. She uses it for everything from playground duty when it is freezing out to going downtown. The only problem she has with it is that she has actually been stuck in the jacket multiple times for the fact that when she zips it up the zipper doesn't always work and ends up getting stuck. At that point it is a chore to get out of the jacket because the bottom part is stuck together but the zipper wouldn't move anymore. It takes a lot of force to get the zipper unstuck and we are always afraid we are going to ruin the zipper in the process.

Looks great. I live in Chicago. It's warm for as thin as it is, I was very impressed with that. However, overall, my Eddie Bauer coat is warmer (although a bit ugly). Still searching for something warm that looks great. This didn't keep me even a little bit warm in -3 degree temps for 4 minutes just standing to pump my gas. I need at least that. Over 30 degrees this coat is fine. Below 30, forget it.

Odd fit on this jacket. Not built for athletic women at all. This jacket is super water resistant and warm but an updated fit would be great.

I loved my old Darrah! However I bought a new one and it was a mistake. I am very disappointed. The sizing is strange, even on my friend who works out to exterminate and her shoulders are very broad, it is still big on her. I understand that many are build with big shoulders however this is fediculous. Please re- think your sizing. Thank you very much for considering to go back to the old sizing, it was amazing.

I should have read the 4th reviewer's comment more carefully. This is a beautifully made, well thought out garment. My husband owns quite a few Arc'teryx pieces of outdoor and street-wear clothing. The company always stands behind its products. This is the first item of women's clothing I have tried from this company and it definitely is NOT meant for full-busted or short-waisted (sort torso) women. There is a lot right about this garment with well-thought out amenities (easy to use 2-way zip, great hood and pockets on both the inside and outside). Loved the articulated sleeves but if you are full-busted, this articulation coupled with the polyfill just doesn't work. It moves well but there is just too much bulk and stiffness around the upper body. Tapering at the waist with a wide band just barely fit and was too low for my short-waist. Great length for my 5'2" but all around too binding to accommodate more than a lightweight tee-shirt and jeans underneath even in a Medium. I am so disappointed since the Hinto green (more green than blue and muted) with pale blue-green lining was such a nice color combination.

I wear a size 6 in dresses and bought a size large. (34", 28", 38") On the fit guide I should be between a small/medium. It fit over very thin clothing indoors, and looked nice. When I started wearing it daily for walking to and from work and the temperatures dropped, I started noticing that it just doesn't work at all like the website says. It is a close fitting jacket, so for the colder days when you want to wear a regular sweatshirt or sweater it does not have the room, despite what the website says. It's also hard to wear skirts to work, since they push out the bottom of the jacket and split the zipper. This would be fine if it weren't cold out, but I want my hips covered. Forget bending over without the zipper splitting from the bottom up, too. This jacket just won't cover my hips while walking despite the measurements, which is frustrating with such an expensive purchase.
